Father in Heaven, once more we want to thank you as we again get back to our session on leadership.

Today we're talking about when the staff is abused, and we see a lot of that happening.

We pray, dear Lord, that you Give us wisdom, give us understanding, and help us, dear Lord, to see how You work with us, even when we make huge blunders.

Moses is, besides Jesus, probably the greatest leader of the Bible.

He's leading 1000000 people, if not more.

Spirit of Prophecy says that there's a few different types of people that come along.

There's people that go along because they believe God has called them, there's people that are going along because they're curious, and there's people that go along because they're afraid of the power of God, and Moses is trying to lead all of them.

And Moses does, I'd say, a pretty good job.

If the Bible took a look at my whole life and only mentioned 1 mistake, I'd be pretty happy.

No, no, I'm like, that's not going to happen.

But yeah, Moses makes a mistake that might seem minor, but, and this has bothered a lot of people when they read the story, because it seems like God deals with him really harshly.

I guess I would say too, just to frame our beginning here, is I don't know about you, but I feel like when I get to heaven, there are a lot of people to talk to.

You know, like, I mean, I want to meet Daniel.

I want to meet Isaiah, but I would love to meet Moses.

And number 2, because I'm always fascinated by people.

There are moments where I sit down, for example, if I'm in an airport and I people watch.

If you observe long enough, you begin to learn a lot about you.

And you will inevitably find somebody that does what you do.

And responds similar to the way you respond.

And so it develops in me a lot of compassion for people because, you know, and I do this because Spirit of Prophecy recommends it, right?

And so it's important for us to observe, right?

So I'm always—when I'm in an environment, I always observe, right?

So when I'm preaching a sermon, guess what?

I know who is, like, really engaged, right?

By the way, if there are any people that are aspiring to be pastors in the room, this is 1 of the things that I've learned as a pastor, learn to read your audience.

And if you can tell that you're boring them, stop.

And you learn these things by observing, right?

But now, yeah, coming to Moses, like, imagine getting to heaven and sitting down and talking with this guy.

Like, how many of you would have questions for Moses?

What might be some of your top questions?

What would you ask Moses if you had the chance?

How did you have the patience to deal with those rebellious people?

Okay I don't know about you but I mean if you were up to me I'll be like God just light a fire in the camp.

How did it feel for God to show you His glory?

Yeah, Reagan, the question is, How did it feel for God to reveal His glory to you?

But remember when Moses is hidden in the cleft of the rock and God allows him to see his back, right?

Moses dies on top of the mountain, he sees the glory of God.

I often wonder If he saw God's face and he died because he saw the face of God.

Man, see that's the topic we're covering, right?

Like if you were there in heaven and you saw Moses, you'd be like, hey, bro, why did you strike the rock when God told him to speak to it?

Like, if you were there in heaven and you saw Moses, you'd be like, hey, bro, why did you strike the rock when God told you to speak to it?

How did he not take it personally when those rebelled against him and his family?
