Just Look

Fresh manna fell to the ground as a gift from God while the Israelites were in the wilderness.

It was fresh from the ovens of heaven, baked by the master Baker himself.

How the Israelites must have anticipated the taste and the smell of each morning's delivery.

Just like the Israelites, you too can now experience the taste and smell of fresh manna.

Today, you'll be listening to Ken Mitchell, pastor of the 13th Street Church in Cadillac and Lake City and Manton Seventh-day Adventist churches.

Right now, I want to invite you to just bow your heads again with me.

And I just want to pray for the Lord to be with us.

Father in heaven, we don't want to take for granted your person.

You are God, you are King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Lord, You are a triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

And as we read your word, we want your blessing.

Lord, please change our hearts and our lives to be ready to meet you when you come and your coming is near.

The judgment hour is going to come to an end.

And Lord, sometimes we don't even want it.

And sometimes we don't even feel like we have a need.

Perform that miracle, show us who we are and how badly we need you and fill us with your spirit today in Jesus name I pray amen so I concur with Tammy and publicly testify of God's goodness and thanking him for sparing my life there is a purpose that God has for each 1 of us.

Evidently, God continues to have a plan for me, and I may not have been ready.

I want you to turn with me in your Bible to Revelation, the 14th chapter, a chapter that Seventh-day Adventists know very well.

In Revelation chapter 14, Let me get my glasses out while you're turning.

I want you to look at the sixth and seventh verse, the first angel.

Okay, in this first angel's message, it says, I saw another angel flying into the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth.

It says, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.

Verse 7 now goes into the message itself, saying with a loud voice.

You know, I wonder the significance of that Loud.

If it's going to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, this is not a soft voice at all.

In other words, it's an in-your-face kind of a message.

I would think of a fire and I think of John Wesley when he was a little boy.

John Wesley was the founder of the Methodist Church and as a little boy I think they had 19 kids and 10 kids lived And here was a group of people that were trying to drive him out.

And they actually caught the house on fire.

And John Wesley, everybody got out except him.

And he was a little boy, I think of 5 years old.

And when the people around outside with the family were looking at the house burn, John's father and mother, they counted their kids and to have 10 of them, you've got to have a roll call, don't you?" And they found John missing.

And the father and mother both tried to go in the house to save him, but they were unsuccessful.

Every attempt, they just couldn't make it upstairs and they came back out and were told that John's dad who was a preacher himself in the Anglican Church and he just committed his soul to the Lord and that's when they saw a little Johnny wake up well they didn't see him wake up but he woke up and he climbed on the desk and at the window, there was this little boy.

And fire was coming in from the roof down because it was sort of a grass kind of a roof.

You know, they got up there and 1 person climbed up and another person climbed up and they got little Johnny.

And the mother said, a brand plot from the fire.

But can you imagine if your child is up there and you're down there, can you imagine saying, Johnny, and don't be too loud, Johnny.

Now, can you imagine a parent, siblings behind, screaming at the top of their voice, Johnny, the fire!

This is this kind of a message from God himself.

This is a message of God's love for his people just before he comes.

This loud message is not something that is motivated by selfish ambition.

This loud voice is motivated by the love of God.

To a dying and lost generation, a world that is lost and is not ready for His coming.

They're going to be perished in the fires of hell.

Now, if you go on from that loud voice, here's what it says, the message.

Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment has come and worship him who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and the springs of water." There's very little fear of the Lord today in our culture.

In fact, when you talk to most anybody nowadays, they use swear words that don't even make sense in their sentences.

They're looking for what's gonna happen at the next party and the next weekend, and what's next, never satisfied.

There's always something to do, there's busyness, there's trials, there's heartaches, but then there's busyness and busyness and busyness.

We're so consumed with what we have in this world that we have forgot the fear of the Lord and that this world is not our home this world was created by Jesus Christ and sin entered in the world because God created us with the ability to choose and mankind chose to disobey God.

They listened to the deceiver Satan disguised as a serpent And the fall of man brought with it the condemnation of man.

And the only other choice that God had was the plan of salvation.

Because the wages of sin and death, Adam and Eve had to die, mankind had to be blotted out, or mankind had to be saved.

And I can only imagine Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit talking about the predicament that they were in because they had created man in their image with the ability to choose.

And Jesus said, Father I'm willing to go down.

I can only imagine how hard that would have been for the Godhead to have that kind of conversation.

Son, but if we were true, we're honest, I'm saying this, they don't need to say this.

Their character is pure and holy, but I'm thinking in my finite mind, God, he's true, and for him to be able to say that, he has to take a huge risk!

Satan's accusations were that God's law cannot be kept.

You angels, why should you be subject to his law?

You're created and you know it was sad but a third of the angels believe Satan too.

So when Jesus it finally loved 1 out and he said I'm gonna come and I'm gonna pay the penalty for mankind I'm gonna pay the penalty for sin.

But here's what I want you to notice something that I want to talk about today is I want you to think about that word judgment.

Do you see it says his judgment has come.

I want you to think about that word judgment.

Do you see it says, his judgment has come.

I want you to think about that for a minute.

That word judgment has frightened many people.

Many more people have been terrified at that word judgment.

Many have lost their way, Many have just been so scared and afraid.
