Keynote Address

You know, I just came from Europe and we had the European Adagra conference and I told them that Americans are actually very good and welcoming people.

So I don't know what reporter need to bring back now.

You know I'm happy that you made it safely, praise God for that.

And let me ask you, who of you is the very first time here at Adagra?

Is somebody here who attended all the Ad Agra meetings?

You know, I like to call this church, actually, instead of a church, rather a movement.

Because I believe that our church is a movement and I also believe that at Accra is a movement.

You know, if you work in the garden, for those of you who work in the garden or have a farm, you know that you automatically need to move, right?

You move a lot during the day when you work in the garden.

So sitting in the church has sometimes a tendency to sit more and not really move afterwards.

So we feel sometimes comfortable sitting in church but praise God for the garden and actually a movement we are told in the spirit of prophecy that it is the work of the 3 angels messages and this is amazing.

You know This is how important the garden is for the mission that is given us as a movement.

So the very first thing that I actually want to say to you is congratulations that you make the decision, the choice to come here for this conference.

I know that you had costs, that you had efforts, and it's your time that you're spending here, but I believe it's literally an investment for eternity, and I want to tell you why.

In the spiritual prophecy we read here, in the earth made new, the redeemed will engage in the occupation and pleasures that brought happiness to Adam and Eve in the beginning.

The Eden life will be lived, the life in garden and field.

They shall build houses and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

They shall not build and another inhabit, they shall not plant and another eat.

For what the days of a tree are the days of my people and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands." What an amazing promise, right?

You know, I like to say that we, We come from a garden.

The greatest battle ever fought began in the garden, in the garden of Gethsemane.

And we go back to the garden, if you like it or not.

So we come from a garden, the biggest fight was fought in the garden.

It started there in the Garden Götzimmern and we will go back to the garden.

I want to tell you that I know the team of at Acra They have prayed for this conference a whole year they have prayed specifically for all of you guys to come here to come back or come for the first time and Learn more about the principles that you can learn at the conference like this And you might think that you have maybe a plan for agriculture culture, about gardening, farming, and all these things.

We have very exciting workshops, but at the same time it's so much bigger than that.

And this, we pray, will become clearer to all of us during the next few days.

We are told that the garden was the very first school, and it was actually the very first school not for children, but for an adult couple called Adam and Eve.

There were no children playing in a sandbox.

They were adults and they were put in the garden.

They were grown up and back then they were still in an unfallen state.

And if so, and if God put these perfect humans in the garden to meet their God and their Creator in that garden, being taught by angels in this very first sanctuary, how much more do we need this school today?

So you know So when we read that This was also God's program after the fall to work continually in the garden.

We see also that there were many Bible characters, famous Bible characters who were farmers, who were craftsmen.

And actually we are told that in Israel it was a shame if somebody grew up without the knowledge of practical skills.

And so that's why it was also a big issue, farming, gardening, all these things, true education, when you look back into our history, the Seventh-day Adventist history, Our institutions, medicine, and all these places, Loma Linda, gardening, farming was a big issue there.

But today, unfortunately, we have mainly set this aside.

We like rather to sit on the computer for many hours and make or try to make money easily on social media.

And we see those 15-minute cities, do we have them here as well in the US?

Something I think it's not just only in Europe where they build up these places to make you so comfortable that you find everything in the next 15 minutes and you don't need to leave that place anymore.

So, but we are told that in the sweat of thy faith shalt thou eat thy bread.

And I believe that this is a practical, a very practical approach of righteousness by faith.

This is why this conference is so needful.

And instead of avoiding it, to go in the garden, we should actually go back to it.

Because there's an overall educational and practical aspect to such a conference like this, which we pray becomes actually a lifestyle for many of us, and to some degree.

So, some of you might have never worked in the garden.

Maybe some of you, is there somebody here who has never worked in the garden before?

It's not a shame, thank you for coming and learning.

You know, some of you maybe have a small garden And some do it maybe since many years.

And I hope and pray that maybe God will raise some professional farmers here this week.

They are encouraged to do this professionally.

So there's a great need for farming in our homes, in our churches, in our schools.

And there's a great call for Christian farmers as missionaries.

So praise God once again that you have answered this call to come here to this conference.

I just was in this group for international attendance and there was even some people from Japan.

But for each 1 of you, of course, so concerning our 2026 tagline I encourage all of you to ask you the following questions During the conference And I want to start off with a Bible text.

In 2 Corinthians chapter 13, Paul writes, this is the third time I am coming to you.

Whether you be in the faith, prove your own selves.

So our first tagline, it's about your faith.

And you might have read this when you get the newsletter from Adagra.

So how can you ask yourself those questions during this week?

How can you grow and develop into the person God has designed you to be?

How can you be personally fitted for the work he has called you to do in your family and field?
