It's Father in Heaven, could it be that tonight you've made this a special appointment with us and you don't have normal in mind?

So we want to ask that you would come in and that you would disabuse us of any distractions or discouragements.

But tonight, capture us, and don't let 1 of us leave this place that we worship in tonight the same.

I don't know exactly what heaven looks like.

And I don't know what heaven sounds like Exactly.

Although it may sound like the soul's choir.

But I do know, I do know what heaven smells like.

In Southwest Michigan, they're around the university, Andrews University.

And California and Oregon and the Northwest are not strangers to vineyards.

But there in the southwest of Michigan, we have Concord grape vineyards.

1 day, I will be out on a run through the country roads, and I'll catch That smell.

It's like this heavenly, literally a heavenly experience.

How do I know that that's what heaven smells like?

Because in our Bibles, Jesus, before he goes to the cross, he's in a huddle with his disciples.

Some of you are laughing at Gabriel because you didn't bring your Bibles.

But not all of them are in there, So it's good you have a Bible.

Then he took the cup, Matthew 26 verse 27, gave thanks and offered it to them saying, Drink all of it.

For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed or poured for many for the remission of sins.

But I say to you, " this is my favorite verse right here, But I tell you, but I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now until the day I drink it, new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Exactly like it smells when you catch that fall scent coming out of the vineyards.

Jesus, at the close of His time here, as He's preparing for Calvary, He says to them, I will not celebrate drinking of the fruit which represents forgiveness and salvation.

I will not do this again until I do it with you in my Father's kingdom." So there are these vineyards in heaven, growing grapes, being juiced.

And maybe the angels, Although I sometimes wonder if the angels would dare to drink if their commander isn't drinking.

So all of heaven is kind of in this experience of...

And it's like this constant reminder of their mission.

And for the angels, the sweetness of the smell of the grapes is compared to the sweetness of their mission.

Young people, the angels delight in saving, in working for our salvation.

And the work that they engage in is, wow!

But I picture Jesus at some moment, I think grape juice is his favorite.

There's orange juice, mango juice, apple juice, but grape juice.

I think Jesus, as He smells those grapes.

But Jesus sharing this with His disciples, it communicates a message to them.

It communicates the message, really the style of Jesus.

And it communicates this idea, I'm not living for the present.

What is going on now is for eternity's sake.

This is a huge transition in their mind because they're all about the present.

And so Jesus is in this transformation, working in the transformation of their minds that everything is for the future.

And so when the invitation comes, follow Jesus.

When the invitation comes, beloved, for us to follow Jesus, The invitation is to follow Jesus in living, not for the present, but for eternity.

And if you will take the time, you will find that golden thread woven through the followers of Jesus.

Oh, if there is ever a favorite chapter, For me it's Hebrews 11.

Forever Ruined for the Ordinary

It is such a privilege to be able to be here with you.

I don't think there's anything more exciting than young adults who love the Lord and are serving God passionately.

You know I've spent years, Bill Crick has sent me lists to all of our prayer partners for years with all your names, those that have been doing it for years, and have just enjoyed so much praying over those names, fasting, praying, and watching what God has done with so many of you, with the leaders anyway, and a lot of you are just starting.

Dear Father in heaven, Lord, I don't know why I feel so emotional, but there's something about young adults that I know moves the heart of heaven, that causes the angels to sing, that young people would come and they're exhausted, they're tired, they've worked hard all summer and yet they're here this weekend to learn more, to be refreshed in you.

Even if it's nothing that anybody says, we pray for your Holy Spirit to work in each heart, minister to them what each 1 needs.

You know what it is, Lord, nobody else does.

We plead the blood of Jesus over this room, over this whole program today, Lord, for You to do a mighty thing.

We don't want to just have happy, good-feeling seminars.

Thank you that that's a prayer you always answer.

And Lord, I pray that you would please give me the right words and that Jesus would be lifted up.

I've really struggled with what to share.

I text Heidi from Houston the other night, said, Heidi, what am I supposed to be doing?

Because so many have heard me, and yet God keeps bringing me back to the same thing.

And I'm sorry if you've heard it, you must need it again.

Jerry would love to be here with you, but he doesn't get to see his family very much because we are so busy, so traveling all the time.

And he really felt the burden to go see them right now.

Recently a relative that's on cocaine and it's, so pray for him.

But I had something horrible happen to me 21 years ago.

And I know none of you can relate to that.

Because here in America, they don't do it in other countries, they put up black balloons, black crepe paper.

I was totally not suspecting this at all.

And they had signs up, Janet Page's youth has died, And a tombstone cake that said Janet's youth has died.

And all kinds of gag gifts like laxatives and other things, diapers.

I moved to California to get away from them.

And actually God called us, but I thought this would never happen to me again.

But when I turned 50, it happened all over again, but even worse.

But you know, when you're young, really young, oh, you can't wait for your birthday.

You can't wait for school to be out, and you're just, you're just Lord, and not Lord, but just you're asking your parents, you know, when's it gonna happen?

And then you can't wait for that day you go to school.

And you can't wait for that day that you get to marry.

All these things, it seems like it takes so long.

And then all of a sudden, you get in your 30s, and it's go, whew, Where did the time go?

I'm already in my 30s pretty soon I'm gonna be 40 and then I'm gonna be 60 and then 80 and And you know what happens if you get older life just gets busier and busier and busier.

And it isn't bad things, it's good stuff.

So many good things that need to be done every day.

And I stopped in my 30s and said, Lord, what really matters?

I can't do all the things that need to be done.

And I thought, what's really gonna make a difference in my son's lives?

What's really gonna make a difference in my neighbor's lives?

And as I thought about that, the verse, which I know you know well, came to my mind in John 17 3 which says, this is eternal life that they may know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

Well I had learned when I was 17 years old that I needed to spend time with God every day.

And I'll never forget him saying this because back then, you know, in stone wheels on the cars, nobody talked about spending time with God.

And Nobody talked about that whole thing.

It was just what you needed to do to be good.

And so I raised my hand and I said, you know, I go to church and I try to be good.

He said, you need to spend time with God every day.

And he said, if you don't spend time with God, you won't know Him.

And if you don't know Him, you won't love Him.

He said, and if you don't love Him, you're going to walk away from Him.

And he said, Janet, do you have trouble getting up in the morning?

And I know you probably know that verse, Isaiah 50 verse 4.

He said, you claim this verse, God will wake you up.

Okay, Well, I read the verse, the verse is talking about Jesus.

But the Bible teacher said, no, you can claim it too.

The Mark of the Beast Exposed

I suggest you go to a Bible college Or take Bible studies.

I believe that God has something very special in store for us.

I really appreciate the prayer time that took place to ask God to really open up our hearts and our minds tonight.

The Bible says, seek ye first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

I never forgot when I went into call portering, I didn't want to go into call portering.

I actually went into call portering 1 week late.

I even cried the first night I got there a 24 year old man crying I did cry I Didn't have enough money to pay off my school bill So I did what God wanted me to do the summer was over I didn't even make enough as the 15 year old call porters did.

But when I was done with the summer, I knew I did what God wanted me to do.

A week later, I called up the finance lady at my school.

It's always difficult to talk to the finance person, isn't it?

And she said, no, you're not going to believe this.

She said, the day you left to go call poor Bing, an anonymous donor called, paid off all of last semester's debt.

And then she said, you're not going to believe this.

She just called right before you did, and she wants to pay off the next semester.

If you do what God wants you to do, He will take care of you.

I like to get up early I like to spend time with Jesus like you should amen.

I Was reading 1 morning about Isaiah 65 verse 24 The Bible says something so remarkable.

It says this before you call I will what?

And while you're still speaking, I will hear.

And I thought to myself, you know what would be really great?

How about I text my friends 4.30 AM in the morning this beautiful text message.

The Bible warns us against waking up your friend with a loud voice.

I'm not talking to him, I'm just texting him.

However, I forgot, 1 of my friends was actually on this text message list who wasn't very friendly towards Christianity.

In fact, he used to be a theology student at Weimar College, fell away.

He got more tats, the light had gone out of his eyes, he got into a lot of MMA fighting.

He'd given up on God, he did not believe in God anymore.

And I realized I had accidentally texted him too.

And I thought to myself, here comes the curse words.

And sure enough, I was staring at my phone, within a couple minutes later, he texts me back.

And I thought to myself, what in the world's going on here?

And in my nightmare, I felt this incredible loneliness, this fear, this darkness was over me.

As soon as I got out of that nightmare, I cried out.

I said, God, if you're there, show yourself.

And As soon as I said that, my phone went off and said, before you call, I will answer.

Even when our voice is not powerful, God's voice is powerful.

Voice is going out right now, but I believe the Word of God would speak.

Hope you got your Bible out or your iPad, iPhone.

Praise the Lord, the Bible is the only device that doesn't need to be upgraded.

We thank you for the promise in Psalm 46 verse 10 that says, be still and know that you are God.

Lord, we are praying, not for less of your spirit, but for a greater portion, that you would end this ice share and our summer of ministry with the way that would leave us, Lord, changed.

God, we just pray and ask that the Holy Spirit would speak mightily to our hearts today.

All right, ladies and gentlemen, the name of this sermon is called The Mark of the Beast Revealed.

Take your Bible, let's go to Revelation chapter 14.

Who knows what Revelation chapter 14 is all about?

It's like the Pledge of Allegiance for Adventists, right?
