Pilgrims

Father, speak through your word by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now we are pilgrims and pilgrims are on a pilgrimage and that on the screen heaven the kingdom the heavenly Canaan this is our final destination amen No matter how beautiful Loma Linda might be, this is not our final home.

Our final destination is the heavenly Canaan if we are pilgrims.

And although the Bible teaches that every single 1 of us, if we follow Christ, we are pilgrims, many Christians live lives as slaves.

Now these are literal slaves on the screen.

These slaves escaped and they were captured.

Now I don't know what happened to them, but many Christians have a slave mentality, slavery to sin.

And some of you might be saying, well, wait a minute, none of us here, we're present truth here at Advent Hope.

I know people, I know women, 1 in particular, wear skirt to her ankle bone, deep in sin so gross, I can't even discuss it behind a pulpit.

So it doesn't matter if you're in present truth or not, somebody here, you can be in a sin, you can be a slave to sin, But I'm here to let you know Jesus wants to break the shackles amen Jesus wants to liberate you from that sin People tell me all the time as a minister what sin they're in and some of the people they don't want to stop the sin That's Slavery and slaves don't enter the kingdom of God only pilgrims were pilgrims not slaves Great sale of slaves January 10 1855 You know it says 3 bucks.

That's not the price a buck was a male slave You know they took the slaves from the ivory coast of Africa, shipped them across the Atlantic and went to Central America and the Caribbean and the southern states of America.

And they shipped these slaves over and the men were called bucks.

Look at this, 3 bucks, age 20 to 26, strong, able body.

1 wench, Sally, age 42, excellent cook, on and on and on, Slavery.

$1, 200 to $1, 250 for Negroes, dated 1853.

How in the world can someone put a price tag on a life?

You are not, I am not, we are not on Satan's action block if we're pilgrims.

And if you are a pilgrim, in the eyes of God, you are absolutely priceless.

Don't sell yourself cheap for a cheap thrill, amen?

The Bible says, The Bible says in Hebrews 11 13, these all died in faith not having received the promises but having seen them afar off were assured of them.

Embrace them and confess that they were strangers and what everybody?

For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland.

I wonder what kind of homeland that you're talking about.

But now they desire a better that is a heavenly country.

The Bible says pilgrims, the only focus of a pilgrim is making it to the heavenly Canaan, the celestial city.

This pilgrimage called sanctification, it must end in the heavenly city.

I don't want to come up a thousand years too late.

And since we are pilgrims and not slaves, pilgrims, they watch and study Bible prophecy.

Now slaves can care less, but we're pilgrims.

Now, according to this chart, are we living here in time or down here?

Now, what prophecy does, prophecy shows to us where we are in this pilgrimage of life.

And if we know how close we are to the end, we will begin to see that our pilgrimage will soon be over.

What is, according to the Bible, the number 1 reason for Bible prophecy.

When you see it come to pass, you may believe.

The prophecy, you know the future, that's true.

Now, listen to what I say very carefully.

Knowing the future and future events cannot be the number 1 reason for Bible prophecy.

Because I can know future events about what?

The 7 last plagues, the great time of Jacob's trouble.

I can know all these future events and still be lost.

So that cannot be the primary, that must be secondary in nature.

Therefore, we need to understand the primary reason for Bible prophecy is so that every single 1 of us can fall more in love with Jesus Christ.

That's the number 1 reason for prophecy here.

Now what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna show you how close we are to the end.

We're gonna look at prophecies and the bulk of this message is going to be on the screen, all right?

But I'm going to take you to the Bible just to show you that the number 1 reason for prophecies to fall in love with Christ, 2nd Peter chapter 1.

Now I pace back and forth often because the Word of God is just too exciting to me.

I mean when God has really changed your life you can't help but be excited.

I can't help but to smile, show all 32, because God is good.
