GYC SE 2013: God's Last Message

Christ Our Righteousness - Part 1

Dear Heavenly Father, Father, thank you for another opportunity to be here with your people and to share Jesus Christ and His righteousness.

I pray for your blessing that you will guide us, that the Holy Spirit will be here and that you will help me as I share this information that it won't just be information for the head but especially for the heart.

Please guide us Father and teach us your last message for the world.

All right I am going to give you some very, very important and solid information that I have been researching and studying for many, many years.

Just about everything, plus a whole lot more, is in this book called God's Last Message Christ Our Righteousness.

This was recently published by Pacific Press.

It is the result of many years of research and information.

And I'm just thrilled to know what I know and to have a chance to share it.

Revelation chapter 18 verse 1 says, after these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven having great power and the earth was lightened with his glory." You notice that verse is talking about power and light coming down from heaven and the whole earth eventually being lightened.

Now on the screen here is a drawing from my little boy.

I have a nine-year-old son, Seth, and a five-year-old daughter named Abby.

And it wasn't too many months ago when little Seth woke up sometime around 6 o'clock or 6 o'clock in the morning.

And he came into the living room where I was reading my Bible.

And he said to me, very animated, he said, Daddy, Daddy, He said, I just had an amazing dream.

And I said, well, what was your dream, Seth?

And he said, Daddy, he said, in my dream, I went up.

And the way he said it was, I went up to the new Jerusalem to the holy city.

I went up to the new Jerusalem to the Holy City.

And he said, in my dream I saw the streets of gold.

And he said, I saw buildings and various things that were there.

And he said, he didn't actually say he saw buildings, but he said he saw the streets of gold.

And then he said, and Daddy, I saw Jesus sitting on his throne.

And he said, Jesus was so bright, he was so bright that I had to squint in order to see him.

Now, Seth doesn't normally have dreams like that.

He has dreams and I have dreams and a lot of people have dreams, but this was a different kind of dream.

And so I looked at him and I thought, wow, maybe the Lord really gave this to him and he's talking to his little heart.

And as I was listening, Then I thought of a Bible verse, and I opened my Bible to Acts 2, verse 17, that says that in the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, And it talks about people having dreams and people seeing visions.

And I had my Bible open to that verse, and he was standing right next to me, and I showed him that verse.

So he looked down, and he saw where it said, last days, spirit poured out, people having dreams, and he put his hand on his chest and he just went, he said, daddy, these are the last days.

These are the last days, because he felt like God gave him that dream.

So I told him, I said, Seth, I want you to write out your dream.

So I said, all right, you draw it out, and I'll take a picture of it on my phone, and I'll put it on my Facebook page.

Here's the corridor going to the throne, and there is the Bible.

And when I posted that on my Facebook page and showed people that my son had this dream, I got A lot of responses, all kinds of responses.

Now, I don't believe that every dream anybody has comes from God.

But it sure seemed to me that the Lord was talking to my son.

And the main point of my sharing this with you is that Seth said that Jesus was so bright.

And if you look at this verse in Revelation 18 verse 1, it tells us that 1 of these days an angel is going to come down from heaven having great power and the whole earth is going to be lightened with God's glory.

And I believe that that angel represents the final move of God in the world.

And that we call that the latter rain, when the latter rain comes down.

And that the light that is going to lighten the whole earth with its glory I believe is really the light of Jesus Christ.

1 last time, Jesus is going to send his brightness and his light to the people of the world before probation closes.

Now if you study Revelation 18.1 carefully and read the whole chapter, it talks about the fall of Babylon, which is the second angel's message.

And when you put the pieces together, and here's another picture here with that verse on there, the earth was lightened with his glory.

When you put the pieces together, the angel of Revelation 18, 1 coming down and lightening the earth, really what that angel does is he gives special power to the third angel's message, to the 3 angel's messages, and especially to the third angel, so that the 3 angel's messages will have 1 final burst of power all around the world.

We call Revelation 18.1 the fourth angel.

The fourth angel comes down, combines with the 3 angels, and gives 1 last call to humanity.

And at the end, if you go back to chapter 14, Revelation 14 describes the 3 angels' messages.

And here's a picture of the 3 angels on the screen.

At the conclusion of the 3 angels, we have this verse.

Revelation 14 verse 12 says, here is the patience of the saints.

Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

That is the conclusion of the third angel.

So you've got that fourth angel coming down.

He gives power to the 3 angels, especially to the third angel.

The earth is lightened and at the very conclusion, you've got this verse.

And my conviction is that this verse is just about, I don't know if I can compare which verse is more important, but the most well-known verse in the Bible is John 3, 16, that God so loved the world that he gave his son.

My conviction is that this verse is 1 of these days going to be the most widely known verse on planet earth.

It's going to be quoted over and over and over and over again around the world.

The third angel's message warns about the beast, the image, the mark.

It describes what's going to happen to those who get the mark.

And then it calls people to be part of this group, this group of saints.

And notice that they do 2 things, 2 primary characteristics.

They keep the commandments of God, the law of God.

And the second thing is they have the faith of Jesus.

Those 2 things and both of them are immeasurably important.

And I've read the 3 angels messages many, many times.

I've been studying them for over 30 years.

And 1 thing that has impressed me is that here is the period at the end of the verse.

That is the period at the end of the last message of God in the last time for the whole world.

And what is the 1 word before the period?

What is the last word before the period at the end of the last message of God to the world?

Christ Our Righteousness - Part 2

Heavenly Father, please bless us right now.

We ask for the Holy Spirit, for the real Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, to teach us here in this class the biblical message up Jesus Christ and his righteousness.

This is all right straight out of the Book of Romans.

I learned what I'm sharing with you, really, by reading the writings of E.J.

I got a hold of some of his lectures on microfilm that were not anywhere, that someone had found and printed out some of the writings of Wagner in 1887, in 1888, the very time when he gave those messages at the Minneapolis General Conference.

And he basically dissected what Paul wrote in Romans 3 in the book of Galatians, point by point by point.

And I learned what the Bible says through the Holy Spirit, impressing me through reading the writings of Wagner.

And it's just right here, it's right here in the Bible.

So anyway, we just talked about the righteousness of Christ.

That God's law is a righteous law, showing us what's right and what's wrong.

When we look at the law, the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins, and then the Bible lifts up Jesus Christ.

Now when the Bible says that in Jeremiah 23, verse 5 and 6, it says that Jesus has a special name, and the name is the Lord our righteousness.

Now think about this, If righteousness is defined, as Ellen White says, by the 10 Commandments, and as Paul says in Romans 8-4, Romans 9-31, and many other verses, if God's law is a righteous law, then what does it mean that Jesus Christ is our righteousness?

What it means is that Jesus came down here as a human being.

He took our humanity upon himself and he grew up and He lived for 33 years.

And during the 33 years of Jesus' life in human form, He kept the 10 Commandments perfectly.

He never broke even 1 of the 10 Commandments, did he?

When Jesus, it says in the Bible, in Luke chapter 2, that He was subject to Joseph and Mary, which commandment was He keeping?

Number 5, that's right, he honored his father and mother.

And when he did that, Jones said this, A.T.

Jones, he said that when Jesus kept a commandment, he basically wove a stitch, another stitch, in a robe of righteousness for you.

When he was in the wilderness being tempted by the devil after his baptism, and Satan said, if you'll just bow down to me, I'll give you all the kingdoms of the world.

And Jesus said, it is written, get behind me Satan.

He said, you shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.

He was keeping the first 1, putting His Father first.

And when He did that, He wove another stitch in a robe of righteousness for you.

When Jesus said, I tell you the truth, I speak the truth, he was keeping the ninth commandment, he never lied.

And if you go commandment by commandment, Jesus Christ kept every single commandment perfectly throughout his entire life.

The more you think about this, this is amazing.

Every time Jesus resisted the devil, he wove a stitch in his robe of righteousness for you.

You know, they swoon over these basketball players and sports stars and television talk show hosts and all these different people.

And kids have their cartoon heroes, you know, the ninjas, and all these different heroes.

But my hero, and hopefully your hero, is Jesus Christ Himself.

There is No 1 that has done more for any of us than Jesus.

And when he was here, he kept every single 1 of these 10 Commandments with you in mind.

When The devil tempted him, he just said, no way, Satan, I will not sin.

And the only way that any of us are going to get to heaven is because of what he did.

And so here you see a law, and here you see a picture of Christ with a white robe.

He's our righteousness because he kept the law perfectly for us, for 33 years, without a stain, without a flaw.

And not only that, but at the end of his life, if you look closely at this picture, what do you see in the middle of the law?

At the end of his life, Jesus in Gethsemane and on the cross, he made a decision that he was going to take all the sins of the world, all the breaking of the law that you've done and that I've done, every single violation of God's commandments, he took them into his mind, into his heart, he prayed in Gethsemane, Father, if it's possible, take this cup from me.

And he said, nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done.

And he decided, I'm going to go all the way.

There's a song I listen to, and it talks about Jesus carrying the cross and going up Calvary.

And it says something like, the words are something like, why did he do this for us?

And it says, as he struggled up that hill without a thought of turning back, he set his face to Calvary.

And it says he died for love, he died for freedom, he died for you, he died for me, so that he could do all of this for us.

You know, I've been praying and praying and praying for my wife and my kids.

There's nothing I want more than to see my Lord and to have my children with me and to have my wife with me.

I found a better hope than what's in this world.

Once you understand that in the light of the law, you're lost.

Once you really get that, and the idea that 1 of these days you're going to stand before God, and There's the 10 Commandments, and you're going to stand before Him accountable for all of your sins of breaking His law.

Once you get it, and it just burns into your heart, then when you see Jesus lifted up on the cross, and you see His perfect robe of righteousness, then you get it and you know that He's it.

Paul says in Romans 3 verse 26, he says, "'To declare, I say at this time, His righteousness, "'that He might be just, ' which means God upholds the justice of His law.

He's upheld His law that He might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

In Steps to Christ, page 62, it says that Jesus died for us and He rose from the dead and now He offers to take our sins and give us His righteousness.

And it says if you give yourself to him, and that's where you have to make a choice.

The statement I read earlier where Ellen White says that when the law is magnified and the people are brought to make a decision for or against the truth, they have to make a choice.
