Strong Delusions

And before we begin, let's open up with a word of prayer.

Gracious Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord for this opportunity.

And Lord, the Bible says, not by might nor by power, but by thy Spirit, sayeth the Lord of hosts.

So Father, I pray for your spirit to be here.

It is your spirit that convicts and converts and changes.

Forgive us for our sins and Be with us now, Lord.

Last year, around fall, I had this most peculiar dream.

I was sleeping on my couch, and I woke up from the dream and it started to fade in the back of my mind but it was still there.

Anyway, after I got up off the couch I wanted to refresh myself.

I wanted to go for a walk, get the blood pumping.

And so I decided to put on my long-sleeve t-shirt because I looked outside, and it looked kind of gloomy.

But around that time, I had been doing a lot of running and my knees were just killing me.

I guess the shock on the concrete was just too much for my knees to handle.

And I put on my glasses, I wear contact lenses.

And if I were to take these contacts out, I would not be able to read that exit sign.

I can have the Bible right here and I would not be able to see anything.

The glasses I had on were even weaker than the contact lens prescription, but are better than anything because...

And if you're like me, when I look above up here and underneath the glasses, I'm like, oh, Lord.

And when it gets darker with this weak prescription, it's even more blurrier for me.

But the sun was starting to set, so I decided to go on this walk anyway.

And as I'm walking down the street on the sidewalk here, I'm walking and the sky is kind of gloomy looking.

I see this dark green leaf, leaves on this tree right above me and right next to it is a tree with lighter green leaves and on the other side of the street I see, you know, the reds and the yellows, it was fall.

And I'm crunching on the leaves as I'm walking on the sidewalk and I do something kind of strange.

I look at this scene, this gloomy scene, and I close my eyes and I reimagine what I just saw.

I was somehow able to transfer my imagination into my reality.

And instead of this gloomy sky, I saw a brilliant, bright, beautiful sky.

I saw the dark green and the light green, even though they were different shades of green, they shone and they glowed, vibrant and radiant.

I saw the reds and the yellows just shine so bright and brilliant.

I looked across the street, and I saw this tree about 18 feet tall.

And there next to the tree, I saw myself standing there, 18 feet tall.

And I looked into my own eyes and I looked into a pair of eyes of infinite wisdom, perfect beauty and perfect understanding.

And there were no words exchanged, but there was a smile.

And the message that I received in essence said to me, fight this good fight of faith.

Can you imagine if you were 18 feet tall?

If we were all 18 feet tall right now, our heads would probably be scraping against the ceiling.

Because now we're this tall, we've got to be this big now.

This place would be like a little shack to us.

I imagine myself 18 feet tall, and I imagine myself with the presence of God burning so hot within my bosom that my skin is glowing.

I can, I picture myself wrestling with a whole pride of lions?

I just jump on all the lions and I'm just wrestling them, got them in the headlock.

Maybe I'm slap boxing with a bear and I'm throwing these lions to the side and they're clawing me and biting me and I'm laughing because they're tickling me with their claws.

I got flesh that's so hard, I can scrape it against rock, It'll break the rock and my skin will never break.

As I'm wrestling with these lions and I'm tussling with these lions, and I see a cheetah running.

And I throw the lions to the side and I start running with this cheetah.

And he starts digging in deep and he leaves me in the past.

And then I plant my left foot on the ground and I bound in the air.

I unfurl my wings and I go into jet speed and I say, see you later, pal.

I can see a flock of eagles out in the distance.

I slow my speed down so I can fly abreast with the eagle.

And I look into the eagle's eye to the right, and then his eye to the left.

And I don't have a verbal communication, but I could telepathically communicate with these eagles.

And we all agree to fly in formation together.

Eagles underneath me, eagles above me, and we stay in tight formation and we make a shot, we just shoot up together and we do a couple of spins and turns and dives and never breaking formation.

And then We hear the sounds of the saints singing over there to the east.

And so we all bank to the left toward the sounds of the singing.

And they're bellowing out their praises to God.

And I start to make my landing with the eagles, a little lower.

I unfurl my wings back in for my descent, and I got my harp on my back, right here, tied behind my back, and I flip it down my right wing.

My right wing flips it to my left hand, and I begin strumming my heart before my left foot hits the ground.

And I walk into the congregation of the saints as they're all singing, bellowing out their praises to God.
