It's good to see you again and looks like you've grown a little bit.

That's the last time I was here and that's good news and sometimes can be bad news if we lose our focus.

But I trust that you've gained had your focus still direct.

I want to talk about focus today though, so just in case you're out of focus I'm hoping to be a part of the focusing moment here.

And I was delighted that I could be here on such an important day in terms of the Sabbath school lesson.

It's important who we choose as spouses, you know.

As I was thinking about Samson's wife, You know that proverb says that a nagging wife is like a leaking faucet?

And I think maybe the, you know, maybe the person who wrote the Proverbs knew that.

You know, and by the way, husbands can be a disaster too ladies, so.

I can't think of a more important lesson, seriously.

And you know I can't think of a group that may be thinking about such things maybe less or maybe more than less.

Some of you shouldn't be thinking about that.

I don't know who's who but what an important lesson.

Please don't just dismiss that all the important things in that lesson.

It's good to be back with you here at Evan Hope.

Just some greetings from Amazing Facts, where I now am working.

I'm in charge of the opinions department there.

No, there's hopefully not that many opinions and amazing facts, but just facts.

Today we have an important task and that is to especially at this time in earth's history this time in the service to open God's word and we don't need opinions really doesn't matter how amazing they might be what we need is facts you think so?

My brother-in-law used to follow me around when he was about 12.

And he would follow me around the house and he would say fact or opinion after everything I said.

And I was getting to know his sister who was is now my wife And I would make some comments about her that he would consider that were just very bizarre to his 12-year-old mind, and he would say, that's an opinion.

And then when I would say anything that he thought was a fact he would say that's a fact you know only 12 he really impressed me that we need to know the difference between facts and opinions especially in this earth's history.

Alright, let's just pray together and I'm gonna kneel and ask you to bow your heads before we open God's Word.

Father in heaven, today we're thankful that we can come to this place.

Advent hope reminds us that there is a blessed hope and it's in the advent the appearing of Christ in our life personally in our homes and our churches and for this reason this movement was raised up to bring hope to those that are hopeless.

So we ask today that you would come and Overwhelm me, take me out of the way.

Fill us with hope that we could go out and share your hope with others.

I want to look at a sandwich today how many of you are hungry this morning?

That sandwich is found in the Gospel of Matthew.

And this sandwich is an important sandwich.

And look first of all at the 2 whole wheat buns and then look at the fictions and the other things in the middle here.

We'll look at them and then we'll go back and look at the middle.

Now Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

This is the second of the 2 whole wheat buns, if you will, of the sandwich this morning.

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every manner of sickness and every sickness and every disease among the people.

What is the difference between those 2 texts?

So in 1 it says Jesus went all around Galilee doing this and the other it says he went everywhere.

I want to make a point right at the beginning.

Don't bother going everywhere unless you can do something where you are.

Josephus says that there were 204 towns in Galilee.

The average population was 15, 000 per town, so there's about 3 million people.

And Mark tells us that he would go in a circuit.

And he first of all it says look at our text again in Matthew chapter 4 verse 23 Jesus went about all Galilee then notice verse 24 and his fame went throughout all Syria and they brought to him all who were sick.

He went first and then he had such success in that small theater that they came.

How many going to have a life that's so powerfully anointed by God that after you go a few times people come?

Not because of you, but because of what's happening through you.

Every word, every act came through and to those he went to.

So our success here, we're here at Loma Linda, our success here in this small window is to prepare us for success other places.

The devil will try and dissuade us and sidetrack us.

He will try and get us matched up with the wrong people at the wrong time in the wrong way.

He will try and frustrate everything about our experience while we're here in this place.

We'll hear things that discourage us when we should be encouraged.

Anywhere you are where you start out in that small arena, God tries to frustrate it right from the very beginning.

So that you never will have an expansive ministry.
