Modern Medium- Part 2

Again, Heavenly Father, we come before You just humbly, in need of Your grace and in need of Your forgiveness, in need of Your righteousness.

Lord, we're realizing that we are living in the last days of this earth's history.

Satan knows his time is short, and he's angry, and he is putting out his message out there like a flood.

And Lord, I just pray that Your People are not consumed by that flood, but yet stand in the gap and witness to those around them the true nature of your character, the true nature of Your love.

Because Satan is accusing You that Your law is not just and that You are not loving.

So Lord, I just pray, Lord, that You send Your Holy Spirit to work through each 1 of us to Truly show the character that You are.

And Lord, we just praise Your name for the things that You have done in this church and through us, and will do through us, Lord.

Again, camp your angels around this place to ward off those spirits that really wish to keep us in the dark.

So Lord, I just pray these things in the powerful name of Jesus.

And I want to start with this quote here from Medical Ministry, page 111.

It says, "...For thousands of years, Satan has been experimenting upon the properties of the human mind.

By His subtle workings in these last days, He is linking the human mind with His own, imbuing it with His thoughts.

And He is doing this work in so deceptive a manner that those who accept His guidance know not that they are being led by Him at His will.

The great deceiver hopes so to confuse the minds of men and women that none but His voice is heard." And that's really the time we're living in.

I mean, We are living in a time when literally it is an atmosphere around us.

And guarding well the avenues to the soul is what?

What we see, what we hear, what we taste, what we bring into our minds, into our bodies, both physical and spiritual, we need to protect and be cautious.

So I want to look at just some of the people that are behind some of these popular films and stuff, and what do they believe?

How many of you have heard of any of these comic books here, right?

Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Superman, Swamp Thing, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, right?

How many of you have heard of Alan Moore?

He believes that he is following a god named Glykon.

He's a snake with a really frumpy hairdo.

He's got like this frumpy toupee looking hairdo.

This is the God that Alan Moore believes he is following and gives him guidance in his creative undertakings.

So here's an interview where someone's asking him, the interviewer asks him, what's in it for you following Glycon?

What's in it for you though following Glycon?

I believe that every single individual human being should probably make their own peace with the universe.

I mean we're all of us different emotionally, we're all different physically, intellectually.

It would be really odd if we were all the same spiritually.

So, I mean, that's why I have a problem with religion, per se, because religion, the very word, it comes from the same root word as ligature and ligament, and it means to be bound together in 1 belief, which I find a bit creepy and a bit unnatural.

You can't have that conversation with a Christian fundamentalist.

The kind of what we call fundamentalism these days is basically entirely based upon 1930s tent show revivalism.

It goes back no further than about 80 years and yet it's a very frightening and dangerous mindset because I mean as far as I understand it at the moment there are genuine worries that, certainly in America, that this could actually negate science, that it could drag us back into a new dark ages.

He's basically saying, I find being bound together in 1 belief a bit creepy, and a bit unnatural, that we should all make our own peace with the universe and everything, and that there are genuine worries, in America especially, that religion, Christianity in particular, fundamentalism, is going to drag us back into some sort of dark ages.

He believes he is enlightening the youth of today.

He said, I decided I was going to become a magician.

All of a sudden, a lightning bolt hit and I got a bit strange.

For months after that, I was looking back, probably in some borderline schizophrenic state.

I found myself seemingly in conversation with an entity, which later he describes as this entity glycon, its presence surrounded my head, moving and speaking lucidly to me.

I must have been unbearable for 2 or 3 months.

I've integrated that into the rest of my life." Okay?

This is a modern day sorcerer right here.

V for Vendetta, he admits he did not write that film.

And you look at some of these comic books, I mean, Jesus and Superman, right?

Actually if you look at Superman, some of the original comics, Look at what his mom's name was.

And actually, they had his dad, his name was Joseph, I think originally, but they did change it.

Actually, his real name is Jonathan Joseph Kent.

Well that's kind of interesting, I wonder why that is.

And then you come to like this writer who wrote the 1978 Superman story, and look at what he says.

On Krypton, I was intending it to be almost semi-biblical, and people spoke in very stilted, elegant English.

The metaphor was clearly there when Jor-El sends Superman to Earth of God sending Christ to save humanity.

Women In Ministry

This session, I want to give us a completely different picture.

God wants to use women in any way we can be used, okay?

We've talked about the spirits of darkness in the last session, about how there is an agenda out there and some of the ill effects of the spiritualism on the feminist theosophy and theology of the day, how that is somewhat influencing our church.

But right now I wanna completely shift gears and I wanna talk about women ministering in the remnant church and show some of the beautiful examples of different people that really have worked for the Lord and been wonderful soul winners and evangelists and people.

OK, so before we begin, I would just like us to bow our heads to pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for needing your people.

You could finish this work with just angels.

You could have just not needed any of us.

But thank you that we can have a little part to play in your large plan.

And please teach us today how we can glorify you in all things.

As we study this and we look deeply into it, that you will give us inspiration and excitement about how you want to use us in Jesus' name, amen.

My first question to you is What is in your hand?

He will give you matching opportunities to serve him.

If you have a child in your arms, that child can be a means of reaching other people and other persons, other mothers, other families.

So today, the devil gets us going and coming.

Spiritualism, as we saw, messes up the roles and makes women dissatisfied and confuses us on scripture and so much more that we just got through talking about in our last session.

And Unfortunately, to my great grief, we all must agree that there have been abuse and misrepresentation of men's leadership.

Unfortunately, sometimes you have a man that does not lead, that is what we would call a wimp.

And sometimes women need to stand up and help in any way we can.

And this is 1 of the great griefs, is that men are not being men and are not being the leaders that God wants them to be.

Besides being wimpy, on the other extreme, you have those that are very, very dominant and abusive and have hurt women through time.

Because people that are overly dominant and angry and physical and all these things, it only furthers the devil's agenda.

And some people, they just get so sick of all this question, they throw up their hands and say, just forget it.

Then the other thing is that God uses women, but all the talent that women have, they are so incredibly busy.

Have you noticed that people just seem busier these days than they ever have been?

You know, sometimes I wonder if the prophecy in Daniel of Running to and fro isn't just about how incredibly busy everybody is.

I haven't ever met somebody lately that isn't just going crazy with everything they have to do.

In spite of dishwashers and washing machines and computers and devices and all this, that's all supposed to help us.

But because we have all those things, we can do that faster.

And then we just take on more and more and more until all of us are about going crazy.

And I think this also is on the devil's agenda because we are so incredibly busy, everybody I talk to.

Each 1 of us are personally responsible to our creator.

God made us each unique with very special gifts and very special ways of doing things, special smiles, special whatever.

And he tells us the parable of the 10 talents.

Then you will have much more required of you.

If you only have 1 talent, you're still responsible for that 1 talent.

But 10 talent people have much more responsibility.

I hope as I share some of these stories of some of these powerful women of the Lord that in bygone days that you will take some inspiration from that.

Henry and what God can do with a little shy lady.

Her father was a itinerant pastor that went from town to town doing his pastoring jobs.

And she was very, very close to her father.

In her biography, it tells of how she would jump up right by him in his carriage.

And As they would ride along, her father would teach her from God's word.

Taught her how to read right out of the Bible.

And as a young child, she just soaked all this up and became this spiritual giant way down in deep.

As she got into adulthood, she married Mr.

He went off to war, the Civil War, came back and was an invalid from then on and eventually died.

Henry with these 2 children, no way to support herself.

And in those days, there was no welfare society like we have now.

But she began using what was in her hand and began writing.

And she wrote poetry, she wrote articles, she wrote books.

She sent these all off to publishers, and she was able to support her tiny family with her writing abilities.

Well, 1 day she tells about how she and her son were, well, her son didn't know she was following her.

Her son was going down the street, and the mother noticed that he was going in this certain building.

And she looked over there and she said, what is that building?

And she had never even noticed it before.

I can go check on what my child is doing.

And these little swinging doors, she went right in there.

And what did she see but her precious boy talking to a bartender.

And he was holding out a dish of dirty candies to her precious boy, and trying to entice him to like this place.

She said everything in that room was so repulsive she could hardly stand it.

It smelled bad, it looked dirty, It was terrible.

And there was 1 of these saloons on every corner.

And the alcoholism and perverseness that was really sent from the...

That went throughout all the towns were because of these saloons.

And from this experience, she marched right over there, and she knocked the candy out of her son's hand and said, if you want candy, I will get you nice, clean candy.

That was the beginning of her involvement with the Women's Christian Temperance Union.

The Women's Christian Temperance Union was not just against alcohol.

They had a very huge ministry at that time, dealing with prostitutes who were being abused by drunkards.

The families of these people who were addicted to alcohol.

They were against alcohol, and they eventually were successful in the prohibition.

This presentation is what I consider a Bible study on the second angel's message.

You know, we hear a lot about the first angel's message.

And it's very important that we do because that's the standard to which God is calling us to live up to, also for the other churches and the world.

But we rarely hear too much, not too much about the second and the third angel and this is gonna be a Bible study on the second angels message and the presentation at 03:00 What time did I say?

That's the 1 you don't want to miss that's really going to be a continuation of what we were talking about last night But I love the presentation that we're gonna do at 03:00 because it really deals with what God's people will be doing during that short time of trouble.

And it's something you do not want to miss.

I only actually did it 1 time, so it would be my second time doing it at 3.

Anyhow, without further ado, let's bow our heads and let's ask the Lord's presence to be with us here.

Father in heaven, we look at the hills, Lord, and we are reminded of your strength.

We see the skies, Lord, and we're reminded of your beauty.

We invite your strength and your beauty to be in this place.

Speak to me, Lord, on what to say, what not to say.

I pray oh Lord that you would cleanse me from sin and unrighteousness.

I plead with you Lord to be attentive towards your people that if there's any distractions, even evil spirits in here, that in the name of Jesus, those spirits would be rebuked.

That only the Holy Spirit and the angels of heaven will have sweet communion with your people.

Give us a tent of years, allow us to remain awake, Lord, as we go through these scriptures.

Most importantly, Father, I'm just asking for a spirit of joy.

As we break open the bread of life, Help us, Lord, to have a good time in your spirit.

And, because once you break down the second angel's message, it's pretty much, that's what it is.

But let's talk briefly about the second angel's message.

Does anybody know when the second angel's message was first proclaimed?

Now my next question is, why was it proclaimed then?

Why was the first angel's message, When was the first angel's message declared?

It's a meanie, we're just having a conversation.

First angel's message was declared from between 1840 and 1844.

The reason why I'm asking these questions is because my brother and I were having a conversation, right, And let's just pretend, and I like to do this a lot, just pretend we all live in Ephesus, the church of Ephesus, and the year is AD 90.

Now, Ephesus is in Turkey, so it's pretty hot.

Probably looks like this with rocks and desert, right?

And our brother in the Lord, John, is on an island which is not too far from Ephesus.

And all of a sudden we are excited because 1 of the elders of the church comes running in saying, you never believe what I got in my hand.

And we're excited now, because he's 1 of the apostles.

And we open this letter, we're reading this letter, and we're kind of blown away by what we're reading.

1 of the letters, it's called Revelation, and we're reading this letter, we're kind of puzzled, and we get to this part where it says, "'Fear God, give glory to him, "'for the hour of his judgment is come.'" Now what's not to make me think that judgment didn't start right then?

The first time I'm reading this letter, John writes, the hour of his judgment is come.

Wait a minute, judgment is starting right now.

What's to make me think that it didn't start right then?

The reason why I'm asking that question is because he asked me that question.

And I was like, bro, that's a good question.

We're gonna get people, people from other churches will ask us that question to make sure we know our doctrine.

And it's very important because the second angel's message comes right after and the third message.

And how many were here for the Daniel 8 Bible study with Peter Gregory, Elder Peter Gregory?

And I started thinking about that I said you know what that word judgment and revelation in the Greek it means separation.

That word actually is sanctuary lingo, or sanctuary language.

So when you see the hour of his judgment is come, you gotta automatically think of the sanctuary, right?

And then 1 who studies Revelation, you have to go to Daniel.

And so when they ask you when did the judgment start?

Well, Daniel 8 14 says, until 2, 300 days and then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

It also means to separate or remove the sins from the sanctuary.

So on the Day of Atonement What they did was separate sins from the sanctuary and they actually put it on the goat named Azazel.

So whenever you, somebody approaches you with that question you have to always go back to Daniel 8, 14 to say, hey, the prophecy here with the 2300 days.

So to preach the first angel's message, it's imperative that you know the 2300 days.

Because if you do not know the 2300 days, and you preach the first angel's message, and somebody asks you that question, you're gonna be, And God has given us this message to preach.

And so the second angel's message was given in 1844.

And the reason why the angel says Babylon has fallen is because there was a rejection of the first angel's message.

So let's look at the first or the second angel's message.

And you can open your Bible to Revelation 14 verse 8.

And the Bible says, There followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Seems very short, but it's amazing how much information is in this 1 verse.

And I want us to just focus on this verse.
