To this point in our series, you've been studying the desire of God to call you from danger to safety using his prophets and the need for radical change in your life.

Using the dynamite power of God and the authority of God to accomplish all that he asks of you.

Now it's time to apply what you've studied to enable your transformation process so it can kick into high gear.

Now I want to share an interesting thought that was done by Steve Brown.

He said, contrary to popular opinion, sin is not what you want to do but can't.

It's what you should not do because it will hurt you and hurt you bad.

He's a father concerned about his children.

When a child picks up a snake and the father says, put it down right this minute, well, the child thinks that he's losing a toy.

In fact, he's not losing a toy, he's losing a snake.

Now, in this particular instance, this snake is a wonderful, sweet little girl.

But if the father says, put it down, it's time to put it down.

We need to change our mindset with God to be overcomers.

If you were to take an audit of your spiritual life, how would it turn out?

Are you growing each year or are you stagnating?

Maybe even going backwards, but what's the pattern?

If you ever hope to go home with the Lord, then you better have 1.

If you don't have 1, then you're probably not going to get there.

Every person you see in this world who has ever become successful in the temporal or in the spiritual world has a vision to focus upon and a direction in their life.

Dennis Whateley tells the story of Colonel George Hall, who was a 4 handicapped golfer before he ended up in a Vietnamese prison.

He always played 1 round of golf in his cell, in his imagination, his little 8 by 8 cell with black pajamas, bare feet, and a pail and a plate of rice.

He never went outsized, his teeth rotted, his eyes were bad, and he became atrophied and withered.

But he played that 1 round of golf faithfully, very well incidentally, in his imagination.

He played every putt, he played every stroke, he played every game that the pros had played, and he played games that he had played over the years.

When he came back, he played in the New Orleans Open.

And in that Open, he shot a 76, 4 over par, right on his handicap.

The news media, they were astounded and said, congratulations, beginner's re-entry luck.

I never three-putted the green in 5 and a half years of solitary confinement.

This is a principle that governs the universe.

It applies to the spiritual as well as the temporal realm.

The human mind is wired in such a way so that it imitates what it sees.

It becomes what it beholds, what it watches.

That's why the Bible offers this counsel.

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper.

Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.

This is why I shudder when we seem to struggle to figure out why there's so much violence today.

It's been estimated that we spend 3 billion hours each week playing video games.

And the majority contain violent content.

The average child will watch 8, 000 murders on TV by the time they leave elementary school.

We are replaying violence in our minds just like the POW in Vietnam practiced golf.

As a world, we are mesmerized by the temptations of the devil.

Keith Ablow is a psychiatrist, an expert witness, New York's Time best-selling author, and more.

When cop killer Christopher Dorner gathered a huge following of fans who were in support of his rampage, Abloh was asked why people are in growing numbers across America supporting killers and murderers, even creating fan clubs in their names.

He said this, How does he garner such support?

Why are people coming out in support of him?

He's a murderer Well Jenna Unfortunately our society now is 1 in which reality is giving way to fiction Such that people are believe themselves to be many reality tv versions of themselves and they're vulnerable to seeing somebody who alleges that he's wrong as some kind of larger than life they're not able it seems right many people are able to empathize with these victims and imagine what it would be like to lose a father or a husband because they're caught up in the entertainment value of a horrible crime and they can cast this guy as a hero because hey, here's the script, you're the hero now because reality is under siege everywhere in America.

I couldn't have said it better we are dragging ourselves to oblivion and the devil is providing the material to help us.

Are you committed to retraining your mind to win heaven?

Less time watching TV or playing video games?

If you and I are going to be remodeled, transformed into Christ's image, then we must start by beholding Him, by looking at Jesus, the 1 who is coming soon.

You talk about reality when we stand before the judgment seat of God.

That will be far bigger reality than any television program.

In order to strengthen your faith, quicken your love, and become more deeply imbued with the Spirit, you must increase the time by beholding the matchless beauty of Jesus Christ.

Choosing to do so is the first step to the transformational ladder of getting in that process of climbing the ladder of transformation.

Even the Roman centurion discovered that spending time with God is life changing.

It was his guard detail, standing duty at Calvary's cross.

He beheld the events of the day and the manner in which the Son of God acted.

At the end of the day, when Christ had died for you and for me, the Bible records his testimony of this battle-hardened man.

He said in Mark chapter 15, and when the centurion who stood across from him saw that he cried out so and expired, he said, truly, this man was the son of God.

It's true, by beholding, we become changed.

The question is, are you practicing for heaven?

As I thought about this beautiful couple united in Christ, I recalled the text that says that when a man leaves father and mother, he is joined to his wife to become 1 with her.

The first marriage ceremony was performed by God in the Garden of Eden and was to represent the joining together of God and mankind.

Marriage should be a beautiful reminder of the close and eternal union God desires with us.
