Father in heaven, give me peace of mind as I deliver this message.

Let not the enemy make me so angry, dear God, that it affects my preaching of your word.

Bless my brothers and sisters, dear Father, because I do not, they believe they do what they do out of malice or spite towards you.

And let everything I say be said out of love for you and love for your children.

Bless every man, woman, boy and girl under the sound of my voice.

Please Father, Use me for your glory alone.

The Bible says, And he called unto him the 12 and began to send them forth by 2 and 2 and gave them power over unclean spirits.

Verse 12, and they went out and preached that men should repent.

Verse 13, and they cast out many devils and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.

Verse 13 tells us of the miraculous works the disciples did.

And they cast out many devils and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them.

Question, how were they able to heal and cast out devils?

The answer is in verse 7 which tells us, and he gave them power.

I want you to visualize Jesus giving the disciples power.

In other words, something left Christ and went to them.

Let us see that more clearly dramatized in Mark chapter 5.

Mark 5, Reading from verse 25, the Bible says, And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood 12 years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his clothes, for she said, for his garment, for she said, if I may touch but his clothes I shall be what?

And straightway, the Bible says, the fountain of her blood was dried up.

Now read the next few words with me if you have the King James Version, and she what?

When you read the Bible, read the Bible microscopically.

The Bible says, and straightway, the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt.

The only way to have a sensation is to have 1 or more of the 5 senses.

Sight, hearing, speech, smell, taste, and touch.

The Bible says, and Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press and said, who touched me?

The woman felt something and Jesus felt something.

Jesus Christ felt it when the power left him.

The woman felt it when the power entered her.

Verse 31, and his disciples said unto him, thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and seest thou who touch me.

And he looked round about on her that had done this thing.

Verse 33, but the woman fearing and trembling, now read the next few words with me, knowing what?

Came and fell down before him and told him all the truth.

Here we have something happened in Jesus and something happened in that woman.

Power left Jesus, entered the woman and brought about a miraculous healing in that woman.

If you go to Luke 6 verse 19, Luke 6 verse 19.

Find it quickly, our subject, the high cost of living.

The Bible says, and the whole multitude sought to touch him, for they went virtue out of him, and healed them, what's the last word of that verse?

Every single person in that crowd, and Verse 17 says, a great multitude of people out of all Judea and Jerusalem and the seekers of Tyre and Sidon.

Each 1 that touched Christ was healed because for each 1 that touched Christ, something left Christ.

Now I'm trying to stress something left Jesus.

Every time a miracle is performed it costs God power.

Every time a miracle is performed it costs God something.

Whenever a sick person recovers, that person recovers by the power of God, whether the person is a believer or an atheist.

Let's look at a greater expenditure of power.

Go to Genesis 1 quickly, we shall read verse 1.

The Bible says, in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Now this is the creation of the universe, of the part of the universe that applies to us.
