We are happy to see all of you out this evening, and a big welcome to our audience also joining us live through 3 Angels Broadcasting Network all over the world.

And here in Minneapolis we've had an exciting, blessed day today.

There have been a potential of 6 sermons and seminars you could have heard today if you were on your feet and Anxious to get all the blessings out of this conference possible and Tonight you will hear Your seventh sermon for today Coming up just here in a few minutes, but first though we will have a few other things starting off with our opening prayer By Luke Whiting who's our vice president for programming?

Before we bow our heads for prayer I just wanted to give you all an update on Alistair Wong for our live television audience.

Alistair is our vice president of logistics.

He's been hospitalized for some nervous problems and I have good news.

He is, His condition is improving just in the past few hours.

So your prayers are working But don't stop Now's the time when we need to pray even harder.

Amen We know that our prayers are working.

Now's the time to step it up a couple of notches.

So I'd like to invite us now in our live audience, if you would join me in prayer, you can bow your heads.

I'm going to kneel and I would also like to invite our 3ABN audience to join us in praying, lifting up GYC and Alistair.

Our most precious Heavenly Father, Lord, we come before you in humility, Lord, feeling our need.

Lord, tonight I want to lift up our brother and friend, Alistair Wong, in a very special way.

Lord, I know that the devil has been working to bring him down, to discourage him, and Lord, I pray tonight that you would lay your healing hand upon him.

We're excited about the improvements that we've seen and we just pray that things would continue to look up.

I want to pray tonight Lord for our message for the speaker, that your spirit, your presence, your angels would be in this room.

Take the words and drive them into our hearts.

We all have different needs, Lord, and we all need to hear different things tonight.

And I just pray that that would be a reality.

We pray these things in your precious name.

I Have the distinct honor and privilege tonight to interview people for our something that's happening section Our something that's happening section is an attempt to get GYC Attendees more involved in the church when they go home to their respective areas.

I'm gonna ask them some questions and we're gonna try and get you a little more active in church work, amen?

Jeremy, about 2 years ago you told me you were inspired by something in about the month of December.

So you went to G-Y-C 2 years ago, You were inspired.

Well, I was inspired with that last sermon that Pastor Finley preached, the challenge and dedication.

And in my deepest soul, there's this fire in my heart that I could do evangelism.

That young people needed to be involved in evangelism.

So I took that fire, I took that fire and brought it back to Southern Indiana.

And I was talking to my church about young people being involved in evangelism.

So you had a fire that you left GYC and you knew you wanted to do something.

You wanted to be involved in evangelism and someone came along to help you out.

Youth for Jesus is a program in the summer where young people can get involved in evangelism.

I'll tell you a little bit about the schedule we have each day we get up about 7 in the morning But we have devotion then we eat breakfast And then we have class from about 10 to noon and then after that we have chores to do See youthful Jesus doesn't only train you in evangelism.

They train you to be well-rounded citizens.

So they have us do chores, clean toilets, wash dishes, all that good stuff.

And then after that, we eat lunch and then we go for evangelism, knocking on doors, following leads from about 3 to 6, 5.30.

Then at 5.30 we come back, have dinner, and then we have the evangelistic meeting, and the youth are involved with helping with the church, help ushering, or helping with the preaching.

Sounds like quite an action-packed month.

I, like Justin Kim, don't want to lie to you.

I do know a little bit about Youth for Jesus, and I have been involved in it.

Our executive committee of GYC, over half of them have been involved in Youth for Jesus.

Jeremy, there might be someone out there that's thinking about Youth for Jesus.

I mean, Youth for Jesus has changed my life.

There's no other feeling with God using you after you've preached a sermon.

And then people are responding to God's appeal.

People are responding, coming forward and giving their lives to God.

And my life wasn't only changed, but other people's lives were changed.

I saw many of my friends give their heart to Jesus.

I saw 1 of my friends who was afraid of prophecy, afraid of the last day events.

And then through this Youth for Jesus, she found peace in Jesus Christ.

And she knew that Jesus Christ was the only protection I saw people who had a unforgiving spirit who is harboring hatred in the heart and through youth for Jesus They were able to give that up and have peace in the heart for the first time in many years So you for Jesus definitely changes lives amen This guy turned into quite a preacher, wouldn't you say?

I'd like to ask a few questions of Danny.

Danny, why don't you first of all start by telling us your name.

I actually am, I manage a software development company, and I also work and volunteer with ASI.

Now you work and volunteer with ASI, you're somewhat of a young person, we could say that.

I actually oversee communication for our ASI here in North America.

We have quite a few people who have probably heard about ASI, maybe even our viewing audience has watched ASI at some point in time, and they know that sermons are preached and things of this nature, but what else happens at ASI?

ASI, actually, I've had the privilege of being associated and affiliated with ASI since I was 7 years old.

And it really is a wonderful place to go and meet professionals, people that own their own business, people that are involved in ministry, or people that are just, you know, they work in a workplace and they want to get together and learn and discuss with other people how to better share Christ in their marketplace.

Something that maybe you'd want to attend?

Teach Us to Number Our Days

Tonight I want to share a little secret with you and this secret is what keeps me coming back to GYC year after year.

The secret is the fact that GYC only gets better every year.

By default, you are experiencing tonight the best GYC ever in its history.

I Have a question for you tonight How would you describe GYC in 1 short phrase?

Awesome Fabulous I wanted to describe GYC as a taste of heaven.

Can you imagine sharing incredible experiences, praising God together, and encouraging each other, not just from Wednesday night to Sunday morning but all through eternity.

Instead of having to choose from only 6 out of over a hundred seminar sessions, can you imagine having one-on-one session with Paul on his experience of evangel living with Moses on sanctuary with Daniel on his experience with prophecy and with Gabriel for heavenly harmony and with Jesus for his extreme mission and his love for us on the cross not just for 1 hour how about a thousand years at a time would you be satisfied with that we will add about a hundred or 2 more years on top of that.

This year, our theme for GYC is a short word, be.

And that got me kind of thinking, what did I want to be up to this point?

And I hope that these are the same questions that's ringing through your mind And that this GYC has helped you step closer to experiencing the answer to those questions more tangibly.

And for me, this GYC has brought me to want to be more like Jesus, to be stamped with His love for all the world to see.

And I pray that this is your desire tonight.

If you have experienced at this GYC an eye-opening, a mind-changing, a heart-compelling, and life-transforming experience, I want you to brace yourself because God has promised to us that He has blessed and sanctified the Sabbath, and this Sabbath you're going to experience a phenomenal blessing.

And I just pray that through tonight's program that your hearts will be warmed through the Holy Spirit's presence.

Would you bow your heads with me for prayer?

Father in heaven, We want to thank you for what you did thousands of years ago, for creating the world, for speaking it into existence, and Father I thank you for taking the time to kneel in the dust to form man.

Father, it's a blessing on this Sabbath day to remember you as our Creator, to thank you for what you've done.

Truly, Lord, you are worthy, as it says in Revelation, Lord, you are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they exist and are created Father, thank you for that.

Thank you for redemption thousands of years ago for dying on the cross Lord for saying that You wanted to buy us back from the devil and father I just I pray that as we've come here tonight Lord on this Sabbath on the Sabbath day that you would give us a Transformation tonight father we've come for a change.

I pray that your word would pierce into our hearts, into our lives.

Father, I just pray that your word would cut deep into our lives.

May we take a higher stand tonight, Father.

We don't want the heart of stone and Lord, I just pray that your spirit would be here father.

I'm reminded of that verse in Luke 11 that says That fathers know how to give good gifts to their children And yet how much more do you want to give the Holy Spirit to your children?

Please be with us as we listen in Christ name We pray amen Why leave a heavenly mansion?

Why cause the blind to see The light of all creation shining there for me it was for me he cried for me he cried for me he shed his blood upon a tree.

In anguish kneeling there, Why leave his mother crying?

The spotless Lamb of Heaven Given there for me Why climb that dreadful mountain?

Why give his blood a fountain spilled and broken, flowing free?

When he walked the road to Calvary, gave his life so willingly.

Broken there, the rose of Sharon died for me.

It was for me he came, for me his shame, for me, oh praise his name, it was for me.

The King who came from heaven To the cry, there is no room Now as lay his weary body In a cold and borrowed tomb But the grave it would not hold him.

The risen Lord of glory is risen now for me, for me.

For me, O praise his name, it was for me.

I hope not, because it's the Sabbath, right?

Young people, we want to let you know about some very exciting projects that are taking place by young people, amen?

The first project I want to talk to you about...

In the GYC booklet, if you have that with you, you'll notice on that first page, when you turn it, you probably came here the first day and saw something that said, Army of Youth, and thinking to yourself, what in the world is this?

Well, we wanna take some time tonight to tell you what exactly this project is all about.

The first 1 to my left here is Tim Taylor.

Tim, why don't you go ahead and just introduce yourself quickly.

My name is Tim Taylor and I'm just a college student from the Sacramento area of California.

My name is Jared Thomas and I'm the director of spiritual affairs for Daystar Academy.

My name is Joe Reeves and I'm a bioworker in Wisconsin.

The Tipping Point of Revival

I've been looking forward to saying that and looking out on you guys.

Earlier this morning, I was looking for every excuse not to go out this afternoon.

As a matter of fact, I met a friend as we were walking towards Sabbath school and she said, We haven't talked yet.

And then as I came into the worship service and everything, everything I heard said you need to go out there it's gonna be cold, you're gonna freeze, you're from Africa, this is not made for you but you need to do it and so I did and it was such a blessing.

I'm just gonna share a really short story just because I have the opportunity to share testimony.

1 of the guys came back into the bus and he said he met a gentleman who said to him...

They were having a discussion and the gentleman said yeah you know I do pray and so he said oh so you pray that means you're a Christian and the man said no I pray but I'm not a Christian And this young man came into the van and he was used in the bus and he was kind of confused because he said, if you're a Christian, if you pray, how come you're not a Christian, who you're praying to?

And someone insightful in the bus noted and he said, you know what?

Because he sees a difference between doing and being.

Because just because you do Christian things doesn't mean that you are a Christian.

So I hope that this evening we'll gain more insights into how we can be Christians and how we can be more like Jesus.

Now we're going to invite Sebastian Braxton to give us our opening prayer.

He's a student at Eastern Michigan University.

If you can, as far as possible, kneel with me for prayer.

Spirit of the Living God, in the quietness of this moment, our hearts whisper to you, why have you brought us here?

Jesus stood amongst a large congregation 1 time and he lifted up his voice and said if any man thirst let him come unto me and I will give him waters of life that will well up in him into a spring.

Father our souls have arrived in Minnesota thirsty.

And we pray, Father, that we may have drank of that living water in which we will never thirst again.

If there was a woman, as it were, of Samaria who came this weekend, we pray that she would leave with her bucket by the well.

We pray, Father, if there was a man by the pool of Bethesda, he may have been able to take up his bed and walk before he leaves this place.

But Spirit of God, our earnest plea is that you'll give us that sacred flame which shuns so bright in saints of old.

Give us a resurgence of the Spirit of God amongst this movement and amongst our individual lives that would transcend the experience that even our early pioneers had.

That the work may be finished with greater power than when it began.

Touch the lips of our speaker, Touch the lips of those who will be sharing what God has been doing in their lives.

And may this entire experience tonight have brought us face to face with Jesus.

And we may say like Paul, Lord, what is it that thou would have me to do?

And we would go forward, confident, assured, and blessed, having known the will of God.

This is our prayer, and we ask that you'll help this to be our experience.

I walked, in addition to doing some outreach, I walked, got some supper at Chipotle's this evening, and just the walk from Chipotle's to the hotel about froze my blood solid.

Minneapolis is cold, really cold, really, really, really cold.

Just that little walk made my skin feel like a thousand pins and needles were stabbing into it.

But tonight we are hoping to get your blood pumping because we have some exciting things to share.

I'd like to introduce to you tonight Pastor Alan Hush.

Now Pastor Hush is the Youth Director of the North England Conference.

So he may talk a little funny but that's okay because there's some exciting things going on in that conference.

Pastor Hush, tell us about what's going on.

We've had a fantastic weekend, haven't we?

I can't believe it's the last evening we have together.

I know there's lots of fantastic things happening around the world.

But there's something special happening in England.

We just want to share some of the things that's happening in the UK, in particular in the North England Conference.

I became youth director just under 4 years ago, and my starting philosophy when I became youth director was based upon 1 Timothy chapter 4 verse 12, let nobody despise thy youth, but be an example unto the believers in word and purity and in love, etc., etc.

Studying, committing yourself to studying the Word of God.

So our philosophy is being, our focus in the Northern Conference has been to direct the youth to study God's Word.

So the emphasis has shifted, you know, sometimes we get a bit distracted with some of the things in youth ministry.

So we've focused on the Word of God for the past 3 years, and we've seen an awakening in the North England Conference.

What we're seeing right now is a generation of young people that are becoming missionary minded totally committed to the Adventist message in the Adventist Church and spiritually connecting with Jesus.

1 of the initiatives has been the School of the Prophets program.

That is the Youth Advisory Council and myself.

We have a Youth Advisory Council of about 12 to 15 young people and that council is leading youth ministry in the conference.

And they don't advise me by the way, I advise them.

We were racking our brains, we were praying, we were searching for a focus in our ministry, and the Lord gave us the School of the prophets.

We went to the Old Testament, we discovered what Samuel was doing to the school of the prophets.

We went to patriarchs and prophets and we identified about 12 to 15 subjects that they were teaching the youth.

And so we started that about 2 years ago and we've been looking at subjects such as sacred history, 3 angels and the last generation of young people we had Professor Darmstig teaching that then we had righteousness by faith we've had Randy Skeet coming over to teach righteousness by faith.

We've been looking at Ellen White, the prophets, and we had Cindy Tush to come and teach us about that.

And the youth are just awakening up at the moment.

Now, Pastor Hush, I'm going to be honest.

When I think of School of the Prophets, I start thinking like scratchy robes and locusts.

But I hear, Andreas, you're a student in the School of the Prophets.

Okay, the locusts wasn't really something we had at the School of the Prophets.

We had fresh, pure, warm, organic, non-GM manna.

Every single time a speaker came, we were filled.

And the School of the Prophets was a blessing to me and a lot of the other young people were also there.

Now, the School of the Prophets actually came around the time when I was going into university and I went to a secular campus.

So when I was there, it was almost like being part of a salmon run.
