Can't play something I downloaded

This can be caused by several things, but it's usually a problem with your computer. Please check that:

  • Speakers are connected properly and powered on, and the volume is turned up
  • Computer has media player software installed
  • Your media player software supports the type of file you wish to play

If the problem is with your computer, it is very difficult for us to help you troubleshoot it, because we are not present to investigate it ourselves. In these cases, it is best to seek help from people nearby who are experienced with computers.

If you are sure the problem is not with your computer, tell us as much as you can about the problem and we can check if there's something wrong with our website.

Podcasting, iPod, and iTunes

This website offers several Podcasting feeds. Please see our main Podcasting page for details. If using iTunes, you can subscribe by clicking any of the "iTunes" Podcasting links on this website. If using any other Podcasting software, you will need to use the "RSS" Podcasting links.

If you need further help with Podcasts, the iPod, iTunes, or any other media player devices or software, please consult the available documentation or search the Internet. Due to the fast-changing nature of technology and the high number of options out there, we are not able to offer in-depth technical support.

Promoting and Supporting This Website

Obtaining promotional giveaway materials

We have materials available! We currently have the following materials, all emblazoned with artwork pointing people to this website:

  • Ink pens
  • Small refrigerator magnets
  • Sharing cards

The options for distributing them are endless. You can hand out business cards at Church or to Bible study contacts. You can put a magnet on the refrigerator door in the staff lounge. You can use our ink pens in your day-to-day business and leave them in various places (intentionally or not!)

To request materials, please contact us and let us know:

  • Which materials you would like
  • Quantity you are requesting
  • Your mailing address and phone number

We don't charge anything for sending these materials out, as long as supplies and funds last. If you would like to help defray the cost, please see our Donations page.

Promoting this website on the Internet

One of the easiest and best ways of promoting this website on the Internet is to link to us, whether through our Advertising Banners or a text-based link.

Following are our Do's and Don'ts of linking to this website:

  • Do link to any of our regular web pages
  • Do use an RSS feed integrator to list entries from our RSS or Podcasting feeds on your website
  • Don't directly link to our media files, attachments, or images (a.k.a. Inline Linking or Hot Linking)
  • Don't link directly to our Popup windows
  • Don't use content ripping mechanisms, HTML frames, etc. to incorporate our web pages into your own

Thank you for your cooperation, especially on the "Don'ts". They are there for your legal protection and ours, and also for financial reasons.

Needs and Donations

Thank you for thinking of us! Please see our Ministry Needs page for information on where your support is needed most, and our Donations page for details on how to send your donation.

Our Media Archive

Submitting new materials for this website

We sincerely appreciate those who want to help expand our collection of Bible-based, Truth-filled messages for the time in which we live. However, we are currently unable to handle the volume of materials that are submitted. Thus, we cannot accept unsolicited materials at this time.

Thank you for your understanding.

Accessing our videos

Long ago, we had our videos on a separate website called VideoVerse. However, for a variety of reasons, we decided to merge that website into AudioVerse.

AudioVerse also offers some videos. They can be seen among the (mostly) audio files featured on our website. Or, you can use the search bar, and filter by "Video" in the options to the right.

Requesting specific materials to be posted

Thank you for helping us to decide what materials we should obtain for this website!

In the past, we have been stretched too thin to actively seek out any more materials besides what we were receiving in an unsolicited manner, and what was in our backlog. However, we have recently embarked on a transition phase which is bringing in many more people to help fill our various departments. We hope and pray that in the coming months, we will be able to catch up with our backlog and start actively seeking out more materials.

Thank you for your patience as we get through this exciting transition time. If you wish to request that we obtain certain materials, you may do so. But please understand that we may not be able to do anything about it for a while.

Downloading groups of files with ease

To download large numbers of files, we strongly recommend using our Podcasting feeds. We have a feed which lists all recordings on our website, in addition to a separate feed for each Presenter and Sponsor.

Specific instructions for using Podcasting software vary, but most versions allow you to subscribe to a feed and regularly download all new files, or to manually select several files and download them automatically.

Please don't use Download Manager software to automatically scan our website and download all of the media files it finds. This wastes resources because most of our files are offered in multiple bitrates and/or formats, and you probably don't need more than one copy of each recording. Also, Download statistics are the best measure we have of how far our media files are going. If you download hundreds of files and only listen to a small fraction of them, this can significantly skew our numbers.

Quality of our recordings

Naturally, we strive to bring you the highest level of quality possible in our recordings. However, we offer many recordings that we did not make ourselves. Also, other factors such as the venue, technical failures, and human errors can sometimes have big impacts in quality. Furthermore, in effort to save Internet bandwidth costs, our files are compressed in a way that intentionally reduces certain aspects of a recording's quality. This is especially true for videos.

Therefore, the quality of some recordings may be less than what you may prefer. However, in many cases we would rather bring you these recordings at a reduced quality than to withhold the spiritual truths contained within them. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Ordering CD's and DVD's

We often make CD's and DVD's available to attendees at the larger conferences we record.  These are limited-run and are usually not available longer than 30 days after the conclusion of an event.  If you were at such an event that ended recently and you would like to order, please contact us.

Burning files to CD or DVD for sharing

Some recordings on this website are provided with very flexible copyright terms, which allow you to burn them to CD or DVD and give to others, among other things. Please see our Legal Section for important details before continuing. In general, it is very important that you check the licensing terms at the bottom of each Recording's page to make sure you are allowed to do this.

For best results, we recommend using the highest-quality version of the given recording you wish to burn. First, download the file to your computer. Second, use your computer's CD or DVD burning software to produce a disc.

Please note that the video files we offer are highly compressed and may not look very good when burned to DVD. So for videos, you may need to obtain a full-quality DVD from us to copy instead.

Contacting presenters listed on this website

We regret to say that we are in most cases unable to provide contact information for our presenters, or to forward communications to them. This is for a few reasons:

  1. We do not even have the contact information for most of our presenters. Most of our recordings come from sponsoring and/or copyright-owning organizations, not the presenters themselves. Plus, it would be difficult to keep up with changing emails, phone numbers, and addresses for the many presenters we feature.
  2. Security and privacy
  3. To avoid putting ourselves into a "middle-man" position, leading to an added communication burden that we lack the personnel resources to bear.

Most of our presenters can be reached through their own ministry websites and/or the websites of their employers. A simple web search for the individual's name is often a quick way to locate them. Some of these websites are also listed on our website accompanying their recordings.

Inviting us to an event

Thank you for thinking of us in planning your upcoming event!

First, please know that we are primarily a Distribution ministry, not a Production ministry. We prefer to receive pre-recorded material when possible. If you look around, there may be another organization or group of volunteers who can record your event and who would be willing to submit the materials for our website.

However, we recognize that this can be difficult to arrange. Because of this, we record some events ourselves each year. While we would like to record every event, we often have to choose a smaller number due to costs and the schedules of our volunteers. Because of this, we are more easily able to record events within a half-day's drive of Loma Linda, California, and Kettering, Ohio.

We also can provide on-site CD production and sales in conjunction with recording an event. And in some cases when we aren't able to send any personnel, we are still able to loan our equipment.

To request our participation in your event, please contact us with as much of the following information as you have:

  1. Name(s) of key individuals organizing the event
  2. Event theme or title
  3. Dates and location
  4. Sponsor(s) and/or host organization
  5. Estimated peak attendance
  6. List of presenters. If possible, include detailed schedule of meetings and topics.
  7. What level of involvement you are requesting from us: Equipment only? Recording? On-site disc sales? Booth presence?
  8. What, if anything, you may be able to provide in order to help defray our costs: Travel to/from the event? Personnel and/or booth registration? Housing? Meals? Advertising for our ministry during the event?

How we calculate our statistics

There are two key statistics that we calculate: "Top Recordings" and Total Downloads.

By "downloads", we mean the total number of downloads that went to real people, not search engine spiders and other "bots". This is difficult to estimate, and is much of the reason that our numbers have fluctuated over the years. However, many non-human downloaders can be identified via standard methods.

The Top Recordings number is based on the average number of downloads per day for the last three (3) days. The calculation is pro-rated for recordings that are newer than this.

The Total Downloads number is the cumulative all-time number of downloads for a given recording. It is sometimes displayed in number of downloads or "hits", and sometimes in terms of bandwidth or data transfer (e.g. Gigabytes or Terabytes.)
