04. The New World Order

Greetings again, and welcome to part 4 in our Last Day Events Explained series here on Audioverse.

I'm so glad that you have joined us again this week.

My name is Norman McNulty, and I have very much enjoyed going through these presentations so far.

And today is going to be another fascinating look at end-time events.

The title of our presentation today is The New World Order, and so I'm looking forward to going through that with you and before we get into the presentation we are going to look at a few questions and you know a lot of questions have actually come in and so based on the volume of questions that we're getting now we may have to have a question and answer podcast style presentation at the end of the series just to get through some of the really good questions that are coming in.

I've gotten a number of really good questions.

There's a couple of points of clarification that I wanted to bring up.

There were some questions about the 4 stages of the Sunday Law and also specifically when the Mark of the Beast is received.

And I know that I mentioned that the Mark of the Beast is received in stage 2 when Sunday worship is enforced, and by the time we get to stage 3 that's when you can't buy and sell, and then finally there's and then there's fines and imprisonment, and then finally there's the death decree.

So as you recall, in stage 1 you can still worship on Sabbath and basically you are told to refrain from working.

And 1, and I'll put 2 or 3 questions into this 1 answer another person said you know you said that we shouldn't raise quote a stink and I you know it's probably talking off the cuff a little bit there Ellen White specifically uses the term in testimonies volume 9 page 232 that we should not defy laws with respect to not working.

So, not working on Sunday does not constitute receiving the mark of the Beast.

What constitutes receiving the mark of the Beast is when Sunday worship becomes compulsory, and that's in Stage 2.

Yeah, you can still worship on Sabbath, but you also have to worship on Sunday.

That's compulsory worship, and when you go along with compulsory worship, that's the mark of the beast.

Now it is true that Ellen White says that we can hold religious services on Sunday, but that's voluntary and that's what I would consider to be during times that wouldn't be considered regular worship hours.

Maybe she would also consider that to be okay in normal circumstances but when when we reach a point when Sunday worship is compulsory when it's enforced before you even get to the point where you can't buy or sell or you'll be fined or in prison but when it's required by law that's the mark of the beast and remember some will receive the mark of the beast in their forehead or in their hand and so that was definitely you know some of the questions that came in were pertaining to the stages and when the mark comes.

There were some another good question that came in was yes we leave the the cities for sure that's the final point of leaving the city moving out of the city during the Sunday Law.

But during the loud cry message, yes, the loud cry message will go to the cities as well.

And so we'll continue to work the cities as best we can as long as it's safe to do so.

But we shouldn't be living in the cities by the time the Sunday Law comes.

And of course, things will escalate into the cities to the point where I'm sure there will be a point where it's no longer safe to work the cities.

But as long as it's safe to work the cities, we should work the cities from outpost centers.

There were a number of other questions that came in.

And so we will get to as many as we can probably at the end with a whole session dedicated to just the questions that have come in.

So at this point we are going to have a word of prayer as we enter into the presentation, and we're going to ask the Lord to guide us through this presentation.

So bow your heads with me as we begin this presentation.

Father in heaven, we thank you for this opportunity to study.

Lord I pray that as I share on this topic that it would be clear and that we would see the straightforward manner of how things are going to change in this world and how things are changing and what the end result of this will be and so guide me as I speak may my thoughts be clear and may understanding of those who are listening be given as well.

Alright, so the title for This week's presentation is the New World Order.

Now I'm sure this is going to generate a lot of interest, especially based on the title.

And as you can see from this picture, in the title we have President George H.W.

Bush, who was President of the United States from 1989 to 1993, and here you have Pope John Paul II, and they were key players in the development of this New World Order that we're going to discuss.

I'm going to say this at the very outset just so that I make this clear.

This is not going to be a presentation that is laced with conspiracy theories.

What I'm going to share is basically on the record, well documented, it's been discussed in mainstream news media organizations on down.

This isn't something that you can only get from secret files from someone's back library that they stole from some secret library somewhere overseas.

This is straightforward information, and you're going to see very clearly as we go through this presentation that the New World Order is something that the Bible clearly talks about.

It's not described necessarily with that term.

The Bible doesn't use the term New World Order.

But this is language that is being used in the era that we live in, that we can see how it fits with what the Bible says.

And so that's what we're going to look at.

And again, we're going to look a little bit at history, recent history, along with what the Bible says.

And as Seventh-day Adventists, we are historicists, so we use Bible prophecy and we fit it with clear, major, significant historical events.

Prophecy with clear historical events put together.

And that's how God speaks to us through His Word.

Prophecy, history, that together we can see the the hand of God as He moves.

And so we're gonna look at the New World Order this week, and so let's look at this.

Now The first thing I'm going to mention is this article from Time magazine February 24 1992 Entitled Holy Alliance.

It's a front page title for Time magazine, which especially when I was growing up in the 1980s and into the 1990s, Time Magazine and Newsweek, those were the 2 major news magazines and the newest news in World Report was also a very significant news magazine.

But Time magazine was probably at the lead those of you who like Newsweek may see otherwise but the point is this Time magazine is a major news magazine this was not some backwoods newspaper article this was a major article in a major news magazine written February 24, 1992 by Carl Bernstein, a famous reporter who, along with Bob Woodward, broke the Watergate story in the 1970s.

And so this article entitled Holy Alliance describes the alliance that developed between President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, and the article describes the first meeting that took place at the Vatican on June 7, 1982, which lasted for nearly an hour.

Bernstein describes this as 1 of the great secret alliances of all time.

And in this meeting, Reagan pledged the economic and military power of the United States to support the Solidarity Movement in Poland, and the Pope pledged his political assistance from the Vatican, and through that alliance in supporting the Solidarity movement, which some of you may remember was led by Lech Walesa, this helped to put significant political and economic and even military pressure on the Soviet Union, which eventually led to its collapse.

And those of you who lived during that era and I was a kid during this era but it was big enough that even I knew what was going on this wasn't just minor stuff this was major world geopolitical issues that came to a climax during this time.

And so just 5 years after that meeting in President Reagan's second term On June 12, 1987, in 1 of the most iconic moments of his presidency, standing at the Brandenburg Gate of the Berlin Wall, President Reagan famously says, Mr.

He had been told by his advisors to leave that line out of a speech and he said, I'm the president, the line stays in the speech.

And sure enough, 2 years later, the Berlin Wall came crashing down and I still remember the the significance of that moment and I remember we didn't have a television in our house and we went over to my grandparents house to watch the news because this was such a major thing and I was only 12 years old when that happened and I'll never forget the feelings that that moment created that the east and the west in Germany had been divided and the wall came crashing down as a symbol of the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.

Now the Soviet Union came to its final collapse in 1991, but by 1989 this was a significant development.

And so this leads to the next point of what I'm going to say here about the New World Order.

So, you know, I remember going to camp meetings again as a child and I guess I was a little bit different in the sense that I enjoyed going to the adult meetings I wanted to hear Mark Finley and Kenneth Cox and Doug Batchelor and Joe Cruz and and speakers like that rather than just singing songs for 2 hours or whatever.

And mind you, they did good programs at Cammie, don't get me wrong.

And so, I remember when the Iron Curtain was up and we understand from Bible prophecy that the United States is going to unite with the papacy to form a Sunday Law and you know the speakers had to admit, look we have this iron curtain and the Soviet Union doesn't allow God into its country and so you know it's atheistic and Eastern Europe is like this and so there had to be some significant events that would take place for the stage to be set on the world stage for the United States to be the superpower to work in cahoots or in harmony with the papacy so that there could be a Sunday Law and as long as the Iron Curtain was up in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union that made it very difficult.

So, 1989 the Berlin Wall comes crashing down, by 1991 the Soviet Union has collapsed, and this leads the way for what I'm going to discuss next.

Now, this term the New World Order was actually initially used by President Woodrow Wilson shortly after World War I came to its conclusion when the League of Nations, which predates the United Nations, was developed.

So those of you who, again, remember fairly recent American history.

Again, I remember where I was the evening that the Gulf War started on August 2, 1990.

We had just moved there a month earlier, actually, and we were in prayer meeting at the church and I still remember Dr.

Calvin Thrash came into the church and his wife Dr.

Agatha Thrash was leading out in the prayer meeting session and he interrupted her presentation to say we need to have prayer because the war has started, the bombs have started in Baghdad and you know you never forget those things.

I was 13 when that happened and so that's August 2, 1990.

Just a little over a month later, the President of the United States, President George H.W.

Bush, gives a speech on broadcast television, and he talks about a big idea.

He says it's a big idea, it's a new world order.

And ironically enough, it was given on September 11, 1990, just 11 years before the famous September 11, but this was September 11 of 1990, he gives this speech about a new world order.

Now, what was this new world order about?

And again, just to keep our foundation and framework connected here, we're gonna get to what the Bible says about prophecy in the end of the world, but we're looking at key prophetic events that have happened in the United States of America, which we see in Revelation 13 as a significant end-time player, to understand how the United States can be that end-time player.

So when the Soviet Union collapses by 1991, the Berlin Walls come crashing down, that opens up the door for the United States to really become a major, the major superpower.

Bush was looking for in this new world order and look this isn't all bad by any means nuclear disarmament of the Soviet Union hey I'm glad that it's not like it was during the Bay of Pigs when Americans weren't sure if the Soviets were gonna shoot nuclear missiles from Cuba into the United States.

I'm glad that we don't have that fear today.

So nuclear disarmament, that was not a bad thing.

And then German reunification, that was not a bad thing either.

Families were reunited And so it's not as if this whole thing is terrible, but there were things that are taking place from this new world order that George H.W.

03. The Four Stages of the Sunday Law

Greetings again, and welcome to part 3 in our Last Day Events Explained series here on Audioverse.

My name is Norman McNulty, and I'm so glad that you have chosen to join me for this study, and I hope that you have been blessed and challenged as we've been going through these topics.

Part 1 we talked about the trigger for end-time events and we saw that that's the National Sunday Law.

Last week we looked at the abomination of desolation and saw how that develops through Scripture, culminating with the National Sunday Law at the end of time.

Today we're going to look at the 4 stages of the Sunday Law, so I'm looking forward to going through that.

Before we do that, though, we are going to answer a few questions, and we've had some more good questions come in this week, and just as a reminder, here on the screen you can see that you can send in questions to the email on the screen which is contact at audio verse org so I encourage you to keep sending the questions and we had some more good questions come in and so I'm going to address some of them now this question is from Terry and her question is will the shaking take place after the Sunday Law is in place?

And what I would say to that is that the Bible makes it very clear that everything that can be shaken will be shaken and Clearly after the Sunday law is passed that will be the final shaking of Adam tism but there's a shaking taking place even now in the church as people debate things such as creation and evolution, whether or not Ellen Wyatt has authoritative validity in the church, all those things are shaking out the wheat and the tares even now, and then the final harvest will come together once the Sunday walk comes together.

Terry also mentions that there's a statement in Great Controversy, page 589, that talks about how Satan will appear as a great physician who can heal all our maladies, but he will bring disease and disaster until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation." And she was wondering if COVID-19 is phase 1 of the diseases he will bring to persuade men we are displeasing heaven.

I mean clearly COVID-19, this whole pandemic, is a sign of the coming of Jesus.

And if it doesn't get better and if more unrest takes place, that can certainly be a fulfillment if things continue to escalate.

It would be something that could lead to a Sunnylot.

I got another question from Kylie and she or he asked the question, can you please address Satan's counterfeit appearing of Jesus in terms of what, how, when, where, and why.

We are going to address that in this presentation, in fact.

And then the question is asked, could you please comment on this Ellen White quote that appears to be a dual prophecy attributing Satan and the beast power, the first piece of Revelation 13, ruling for 42 months in the future.

Now, before I read the statement, I will mention that this is a favorite quote of those who like to make dual applications of end time prophecy.

Last week we talked about the 1290, the 1335, and even the 1260, and how some try to make a dual application for those.

This statement is found in manuscript 153, 1902.

You can also find it in manuscript releases volume 19 Excuse me page 282 and this statement says in the last day Satan will appear as an angel of light with great power and heavenly glory And claim to be the Lord of the whole earth He will declare that the Sabbath has been changed from the seventh to the first day of the week, and as Lord of the first day of the week, he will present the spurious Sabbath as a test of loyalty to him, then will take place the final fulfillment of the Revelator's prophecy." Now, Elamite says once Satan appears, you're going to see the final fulfillment of the prophecy of Revelation 13 and then Ellen White quotes verses 4 through 18, which is basically verses 4 through the end of the chapter.

Now I'll mention Kylie, as you shared this quote, you just quoted verses 4 and 5 and you did mention that the whole chapter is quoted, but It's not just verses 4 and 5 that Ellen White quotes here, it's the entire chapter.

And so verse 4 talks about how the dragon is worshipped as well as the beast.

So Satan will be worshipped, but he's personating Christ, and Ellen White then says that the final fulfillment of this prophecy will take place.

If you want to say that there's a final fulfillment of this prophecy, what will be fulfilled, what the final fulfillment is, is that which has not yet been fulfilled in the chapter, and that would be the death decree and the whole fulfillment of Revelation 13.

But what we're going to see in our study this week is that there's actually 4 stages to the Sunday Law, that's what the purpose of the study is, and that Satan impersonating Christ happens in the last stage of the Sunday Law.

So in fact, the image to the beast has already been formed when Satan impersonates Christ.

It's not as if he comes onto the scene initially to start us on a new life, he comes on at the very end.

And so much of Revelation 13 will have already been fulfilled, and so Ellen White says the final fulfillment of Revelation 13 takes place once Satan personates Christ, but by then you'll have already seen the image to the beast formed, you'll have already seen the restriction of not being able to buy and sell, and so This is leading up to the death decree when Satan impersonates Christ.

So is there a 42-month literal re-fulfillment at that point?

Ellen White and I read the statement last week, this is last day of events, page 36, our position has been 1 of waiting and watching, with no time proclamation to intervene between the close of the prophetic periods in 1844 and the time of our Lord's coming." So there's not 42 months of literal time between the time that Satan impersonates Christ to the Second Coming.

That would be a time prophecy, and Ellen White is clear on that.

Furthermore, again, by the time Satan comes and impersonates Christ, the Sunday Law has already been in gear, and now we're just waiting for the death decree which leads to the close of probation and we'll get into that so Don't be confused by some of these fanciful interpretations that are out there Another question was you mentioned in session 2 in response to 1 of the questions that in your understanding the judgment of the living begins when the Sunday law is passed by implication then would you disagree with the belief by some of The church that probation closes for seventh-day Adventist when the Sunday law is introduced.

Yes I do not believe that probation closes for seventh-day Adventist when the Sunday law passes There is 1 close of probation and that's when Michael stands up in Daniel 12, verse 1, and in Revelation 22, verse 11, where we see He that is unjust, let Him be unjust still, and so forth.

However, the opportunity for Preparation ends when the Sunday law passes.

There's the fullest versions of those who are ready to go forth to meet the bridegroom, but Only after they go forth to meet him wide awake as a people only in a few verses later does the bridegroom appear and they that are ready go with him into the marriage and the door is shut.

So there's a period of time between when the Sunday law first starts at the midnight crack to when the door of probation closes.

So no, I don't believe that probation closes at the Sunday law.

Now, I do want to mention there was a question that came in from an individual who wanted to know how to convince a family member to move to the country.

I will get to that when we get to the little time of trouble in country living and things of that nature.

So I'm not ignoring that question, but we'll address that at that point.

So at this point I'm going to just mention 1 other thing I want to remind you.

Again, this is a great time to be studying Bible prophecy.

This makes prophecy practical, but it goes through all of the theories.

So, if you have a chance, check that out as well.

And now we're going to get into our study for today.

So I'm going to ask the Lord to be with us as we go through this presentation so that things will be clear.

Lord, I pray that as we go through this presentation on the 4 stages of the Sunday Law, that things would be clear to us that we would understand and I pray that we would be found ready when you come and so Give us clarity and understanding.

Amen so the title for this Presentation is 4 stages of the Sunday Law.

You see the picture there of the President of the United States shaking the hand of the Pope.

I'm not picking on this particular President.

I've shared slides of the previous Presidents in similar pictures in similar presentations in the past.

This just happens to be our current president and I believe that any United States president could be the president that could be the 1 to pass a Sunday law But I'm not singling out 1 president in particular.

I'm not here to to be political but this is just the fact that the United States of America will work closely with the papacy to bring about a Sunday law so we're going to look at the 4 stages of the Sunday law and just as an overview of where we're headed we're going to see that in the first stage it's going to be refrained from working on Sunday, and as it progresses it will be honoring Sunday but still able to worship on the Sabbath.

Then it progresses to you cannot worship on Sabbath, only on Sunday fines and imprisonment are imposed, you can't buy or sell.

Finally, stage 4 is the death penalty to those who worship Sabbath and disregard Sunday.

This is certainly worth a further discussion and to see how it all plays out.

And Sometimes I find the Admirals kind of have this idea that when the Sunday Law comes, bang!

Everything is over and it's just within a few weeks the whole world comes to an end.

It's not going to be a few weeks, but there's not a set time that we can ascribe to it.

It's going to take a little bit of time for everything to play out.

Now, we saw in our first presentation that, yes, the final movements will be rapid ones, so it's not going to take forever either.

But, it's going to be more than a few days or a few weeks.

So, there are some stages to the Sunday Law.

Great Conoversee, page 603, in LMY, is making reference to Revelation 18 and the loud cry, and this is from the chapter Earth's Final Warning.

She says, I saw another angel, and she's quoting Revelation 18, I saw another angel come down from heaven having great power, and the earth was lightened with his glory, and he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." The quote goes on to say, This scripture points forward to a time when the announcement of the fall of Babylon is made by the second angel of Revelation 14 verse 8, is to be repeated with the additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering the various organizations that constitute Babylon since the message was first given in the summer of 1844.

A terrible condition of the religious world is here described.

In defiance of the warnings which God has given, they will continue to trample upon 1 of the precepts of the Decalogue until they are led to persecute those who hold it sacred." So, here we see that part of this La Crive message is pointing out that 1 of the precepts of the Deca-Log is being trampled on.

That's the fourth commandment, that is the Sabbath, and this will lead to persecution to those who hold it sacred.

Now, we've read this statement already in a previous presentation, Signs of the Times, June 12, 1893, where Ellen White again quotes Revelation 18.

Now, I'm not going to read this whole screen here, because we just read basically the same thing, where this time she brings in the verse in verse 5 which says, "...her sins have reached unto heaven and God hath remembered her iniquities." And in the statement, as we've read before, Ellen White says, "...wonder her sins reach into heaven when the law of God is finally made void by legislation, then the extremity of God's people is his opportunity to show who is the governor of heaven and earth.

So Babylon's sins reach heaven at the Sunday Law, And there's going to be some stages to that Sunday Law, but this is the prophetic catalyst that wakes up a sleeping church, and we talked about that in our first presentation.

Now, when the sleeping church wakes up at the midnight prayers we talked about in the first presentation, the wise virgins received the outpouring of the loud rain to give the loud cry message.

And notice the statement from Ellen White in Great Controversy, page 605, Heretofore, prior to this, those who presented the truths of the third angel's message have often been regarded as mere alarmists.

Their predictions that religious intolerance would gain control in the United States, that church and state would unite to persecute those who keep the commandments of God, have been pronounced groundless and absurd.

It has been confidently declared that this land could never become other than what it has been, the defender of religious freedom.

But as the question of enforcing Sunday observance is widely agitated, the event so long doubted and disbelieved is seen to be approaching, and the third message will produce an effect which it could not have had before." Now, I'll have to say this as a Seventh-day Adventist, I can't tell you how many times I've heard other Adventists scoff at the idea of a Sunday Law.

And when I was in my medical training in residency, I was sitting on call 1 evening with a group of fellow residents who were laughing at the idea that a Sunday Law would happen someday.

And so, this Sunday Law will empower the Church to give the loud cry message, because it's been so long doubted and disbelieved.

There's many scoffers in the Church even today who question whether this will really ever take place, but it will happen, and when it does, it will produce an effect of the third angel's message that we have not yet seen.

Now, let's look at stage 1 of the Sunday Law.

So, As the Sunday Law begins to be agitated widely, it's gonna start off with an encouragement to refrain from working on Sunday.

A day of rest will be encouraged, and this will be an opportunity for us as God's people to engage in missionary labor.

Now, I'm gonna talk about this next week in our presentation on the New World Order about the Green Sabbath Project, but I'm just going to give you a bit of a preview here.

On their website, if you go to greensabbathproject.net, They say, 1 day every week do nothing.

Make it a real Sabbath for you, for Earth.

Now again, I'm not saying this is a fulfillment of stage 1 of the Sunday Lots.

No, I'm just saying that these sentiments are starting to gather steam in certain corridors of the earth in a way that we have not seen before.

02. The Abomination of Desolation

Greetings and welcome again to our Last Day Events Explained series here on Audioverse.

My name is Norman McNulty and it's a privilege to be with you again for part 2 in our series.

And today we are addressing the abomination of desolation.

Before we get into the presentation, I'm going to address a few questions that came in.

We've got a number of good questions this week, and I'm just going to go through a couple of them right now.

Julie asks a question, thank you for this series, My question is, how do we know that we are not 1 of the foolish virgins?

Also, how do we make sure that our faith and relationship with Christ is strong?

How do we know whether or not we're 1 of the foolish virgins.

The parable of Matthew 25 makes it clear that the foolish virgins don't have the oil in their vessels with their lamps.

The fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5, 22 and 23 are a description of the Holy Spirit being in your life, and that's the fruits of a converted heart.

And how can we have a strong relationship with Christ is to spend time with him every day in Bible study and prayer, communicating with him, and that's how the fruits of the Spirit grow in our lives.

And so that's a great question, and we definitely want to make sure that we are wise and not foolish.

She wants to know what it means to prophesy again, and is this the message of the judgment of the living?

Well, the phrase prophesy again is found in Revelation chapter 10 verse 11, which comes immediately after what we see to be the great disappointment.

And this message of prophesying again is actually the call to give the third angel's message.

The Millerites gave the first and the second angels message up until 1844, but the third angels message, which includes the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, is given after 1844.

So when does the judgment of the living begin?

As best as I can tell, it's when the National Sunday Law begins.

And then probation closes sometime after the National Sunday Law begins.

There were a few other questions that came in.
