Hello friends. Welcome to the seed pod for kids. Thank you for joining me today. As we spend time with our friend, Jesus spending time with Jesus is the best way to start your day. Let's begin our time together. Praising him. When you go to church, do you walk softly in the sanctuary? We want to walk softly because it's God's house. We've come to meet with him and to worship with him. That is one way that we show him respect. Let's sing this song. The Lord is in his holy temple together. Holy temple. Holy. Welcome to hide his word, a special program where we take a few minutes to hide God's word in our hearts. Let's go ahead and get started. We're learning the next little part in the 10 commandments. It's verse five. We've learned Exodus chapter 20 versus one through four. Now we're going to learn verse five. Are you ready? We practiced it last time. Let's go over it again today. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them for I the Lord, your God, Emma, jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me. So here we go. Let's do some motions to go along with it. So put your hands together and pretend like you're bowing down, bow down. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. Put your hands together. Almost like you're opening a book and you're giving maybe a platter of food to someone serve them. So lean forward and serve them. Put your hands out. So you shall not bow down to them. Bend over. Pretend like you're bowing down to them nor serve them. Put your hands out for I the Lord, your God point, point to yourself. I for I, the Lord, your God, Emma, jealous God. And then I point up at the sky, Emma, jealous God visiting the iniquity of the fathers. Hmm. What could we do for this visiting? Maybe like you're knocking on a door, visiting the liquidity of the fathers upon the children. And I hold my hand out. Like I'm putting my hand on children's heads who get smaller of the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me. Ooh, that's kind of a, that's a lot of motion. So what I want you to do, you can always go to our YouTube channel when you go to YouTube type in seed pod kids. And when you're there at seed pod kids, you can find the verse that I am illustrating or demonstrating for you. This is going to be Exodus chapter 20, verse five, and I'm gonna illustrate these motions for you. So if you wanna go check that out, you can, I would really encourage you to do that so that we can do these motions and learn it together. Let's do it one more time. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them for I the Lord, your God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations. I do a number three in a number four with my fingers, third and fourth generations to those who hate me. Don't forget practice these verses throughout the day. And you are going to know this and have this memorized in no time. Hey boys and girls, I'm glad you're here with me today. As we continue talking about the priests and their special jobs that they had in the sanctuary. So let's kind of talk about it before we get started. What do we always do? We always pray. You're right. So let's bow our heads in prayer. Dear Lord. Thank you for this time that we have to think about you and to think about the special job that the priest had there at the tabernacle, help us to be serious about the jobs that we have around our house. We love you. Amen. Have you ever gone to a special ceremony? Maybe it was something that you were a part of. I remember my baptism, many times people are baptized during the church service or things like that, but that's not what my mom planned for my baptism. She decided that we were going to have a special Friday night service. And so it was a candle lit service and we had music and different friends would read scriptures. I think I was about 11 or 12 years old when I was baptized. And I remember it and we have it videoed. And sometimes my boys wanna watch that video of when I was, was baptized in that special service. Well, the children of Israel were getting ready for a very special service as well because Aaron and Aaron's sons were going to be consecrated or set apart for the Lord for seven days, Moses and Aaron and Aaron's sons were getting ready for a very special service. They had been washed, they were clean. Moses had put plain white robes and hats on Aaron's sons. Do you remember what the plain white robes represented Jesus? Yes. And how he was perfect. And there was no sin in him on Aaron. He put a beautiful robe and it was what the high priest was supposed to wear. Aaron also wore a special headpiece right across his forehead. It was a gold plate that had etched in it. The words holiness to the Lord. It was tied around his head with a blue ribbon on the shoulder of Aaron's robe. There was an Onyx stone. Have you ever seen an Onyx stone? I wanna challenge you to look it up. See what an Onyx stone looks like. What color is it? Well, there was an Onyx stone with the names of six tribes written or etched in it on one side. And on the other side was the other six tribes on each side of the breast plate. That was a special plate that went over their chest. On each side of the breast plate, there was a special jewel. One of these stones was called the urine and the other was called the thumb. When a question was asked of God, he would answer them if it was yes, the stone on the right side would glow. And if he said, no, the stone on the left side would look cloudy. Wow. Across the bottom of Aaron's rope hung, little pomegranates, they were made out of blue and purple yarn. When I was a kid, I thought that he really truly had pomegranates hanging from his robe, but no, they were, they were made out of yarn, like little balls of yarn that looked like a pomegranate. And in between these little pomegranates were little golden bells and the people in the court could hear the bells ring or tinkle whenever Aaron moved around in the sanctuary, pretty neat, huh? To remind them that they must have the holy spirit, a special anointing oil was put on Aaron and on his sons and all the furniture of the sanctuary special sacrifices were also made. There were drops of blood from the sacrifices that were put on the altar in the court and on the tips of the right ear, the right thumb and the right toe of Aaron and each of his sons. What do you think that, that, that represented? Hmm. What does blood represent? It represents Jesus dying for our sins. Right? Well then when they put this little bit of blood on the ear and their thumb and their big toe, it meant that because Jesus shed his blood for us, he can help us to use our hands, our ears and our feet to do the right thing, to go the right place, to hear the right thing. Hmm. That's pretty neat. Isn't it? Let's look up Leviticus chapter nine, verse 23 and 24. We're gonna find out what happened as the ceremony ended. Leviticus is the fourth book in the old Testament, Genesis Exodus, Leviticus numbers, Leviticus chapter nine, verse 23 and 24. Here's what it says. And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting and came out and blessed. The people. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people and fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burned offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces. Moses came out and he blessed the people and the glory of the Lord appeared to everyone. Wow, what else happened? It says fire came down out of heaven from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering. How did the people feel? They were so excited. They shouted and they fell on their faces. God heard God was pleased. Did you know that God is pleased with us when we follow him? When we do what he wants us to do, I wanna follow God today. How about you? Let's pray and ask him for his help. Dear Lord, come into our hearts to today and help us to follow you. And to trust you, to do what you want us to do, please lead us and guide us and be with us in everything that we do, help the things that we hear to be, what you want us to hear, help the things that we do, our actions to be, what you want us to do and help the places that we go to be where you want us to go. We wanna follow you in Jesus name. Amen. Leviticus, 10 verse nine Do Starting with Jesus is the most important thing you can do for your child.
