Welcome to the Seed Pod for beginners. I'm Ms. Ashley, and I'm so glad you are here with me today as we sing and learn about God through nature and the Bible eing. Father, please bless all the boys and girls who've joined us today. Help us to learn so much more about you and come close to Jesus. We pray in Jesus name. Amen. God is so great and mighty. God opened the Red Sea for Moses, for the people to walk through. God saved Daniel from the hungry lines in the den, and God multiplied one boy's lunch to feed thousands of people. You can trust. God. Let's sing. My God is so great. God is so great, so strong soy. There's nothing. My God cannot, too My my God is so great, so strong and so mighty. There's nothing my God cannot do. The mountains Hiss Are his stars are his and work my is strong and so mighty. There's nothing God cannot do. The Bible says the angel of the Lord camps around those who fear him and delivers them. You will hear an amazing story today how an angel rescued and delivered one man who loved Jesus and told others about his love. Let's sing my angel round from thy word creations. My I'm with my has been am out walking with mommy. I have mommy and when I'm with me, my for how I can't see. This always goes with me. Look, when I'm in heaven, I'll give him and take him for watching tv. Me, my Bible says I have jungle every with me. We're gonna play a guessing game. I'll give you hits. Then you guess what it is. Are you ready? I'm not a bird, but I have wings. I have wheels for the runway. People flying me up in the sky. Maybe you've even been in one. What am I? The A, an airplane. Next one, I have a steering wheel, but no wheels. Some people use me for skiing or fishing for fun or just a go somewhere. I float in the water. What am I? It's a boat. That's right. A boat. Last one. I usually have four doors. I drink gasoline. You use seat belts in me. You most likely have one or two of these at least parked outside your house in the driveway. What am I? A cow? A car. Nice job. These three things take you places. Planes across the sky, boats across the water, and cars across the roads. Today's store is about how someone or something took Peter across a prison to safety. Let's pray together. Thank you, Jesus, for our wonderful Bible stories. Please help us to never forget them. Amen. Before Jesus went back to heaven, he made a promise. He promised his disciples and friends that they would have a special helper. That helper is the Holy Spirit. You can't see him, but the Holy Spirit is the one who talks to your thinking place helps you to say no to Satan and yes to Jesus. Peter was one of Jesus' brave disciples. Peter loved to tell others about Jesus as people learned about Jesus, many of them did not listen to Satan's lives anymore. They loved and obeyed Jesus. But guess what? Some bad people tried to stop Peter from telling others about Jesus. Why would they do that? What a terrible thing we should tell everyone about Jesus and all the good things he did that they were trying to stop him, that Peter was not afraid. He just kept on telling to other people about Jesus, and then he told more people about Jesus again and again. He kept talking about how wonderful Jesus is because Peter wouldn't stop telling about Jesus. There was a wicked king. Do you know what he did with Peter? That's right. He put Peter in jail. Jail is not a place you wanna go. You don't have freedom. You can't leave and do what you want. They put chains on his hands and a soldier next to him and he couldn't go anywhere. He got locked up. The king was so mad with Peter, he wanted to kill him. If you were one of Peter's friends, would you be worried about him? I bet you were. They were worried. So the night before Peter was supposed to die, they prayed for him all night long. They ask God to protect him. They ask God to be with him, to strengthen him. You can do that for your friends too. Something bad might be happening in the life of some of your friends or family, but you can pray for them before you go to bed, pray and ask Jesus to be with him. Peter was sound asleep in prison that night. While they were praying for him, his hands were still tied up. He was still locked up, but suddenly an angel shook Peter, get up. Get up. The angel said. Peter thought he was dreaming, but he got up. He obeyed, and as he stood up, the chains on his hands fell off. Wow. That was a miracle. The chains were off. Peter followed. The angel passed all the sleeping soldiers. They shouldn't be sleeping, but they were, and he followed 'em through the prison doors. The doors opened all by themselves, and soon Peter was safe outside. He looked around for the angel who had let him out to safety, but guess where that angel was? He didn't know he was just gone. He could no longer see him. Peter hurried to the house where his friends were praying. He knocked on the door, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock. When Peter's friends opened the door, they were so surprised. Peter, you are here. They had been praying and suddenly he was there in person. Peter told them all about the angel and they said, thank you to Jesus. Then Peter hurried to a safer place, and guess what he started doing? Did you guess? Tell others about Jesus? That's right. He went right on telling others about Jesus. He wasn't afraid of jail. He wasn't afraid of people being mad at him. He had to tell the world about Jesus and the angel who saved his life. It's memory verse time. Our memory verse today is Acts five 19 and angel of the Lord. Open the prison doors. Wave your arms up and down one time like an angel moving its wings when we say an angel of the Lord. And then let's pretend to open up a big, big door when we say opened the prison doors. All right, let's try it again. An angel of the Lord, arms up, up and down. Opened the prison doors. Pretend to open the big prison doors. Now let's try it together. An angel of the Lord. An angel of the Lord Opened the prison doors. Opened the prison doors. Acts five 19. Acts five 19. Let's pray together. Dear Jesus, dear Jesus, thank you for the brave people. Thank you for the brave people who are telling others about you, who are telling others about you. Please take care of them. Please take care of them. Amen. Amen. Our closing song today is Faith is a Victory. It comes from the hymnal. When we have faith and believe that God can do anything, we too can have victory To that over.
