God’s Prophetic Puzzle Part 2

Hey kids. Welcome to Juniors for Jesus. Go grab your Bibles. We're gonna be digging in and learning some really exciting stories. Let's get started. This week we're going to finish studying the very important time prophecies found in Daniel in God's prophetic puzzle. Part two memory verse Daniel eight, verse 14, and he said to me, for 2,300 days, then the sanctuary shall be cleansed. Daniel eight verse 14, Sunday, the dark ages. In Daniel's first vision of the beast coming out of the sea, he saw the little horn fighting against God's people and overcoming them. Daniel was told that meant the little horn would persecute God's people for a time and times and half a time. Daniel seven verse 25. Last week, we found that to be 1,260 years. We can figure out when this time period starts with a few clues. First, it has to start after the 10. Horns are already in place. Rome fell apart into 10 different kingdoms in 84 76, so this time period has to start after ad 4 76. It cannot be antioch's epiphanies as some claim because he was a king that ruled in the time of Greece. The little horn power reigns after Rome is divided. Another clue is that the little horn power pluck up three horns by the roots. History tells us that three kingdoms, the huai, the otros, and the vandals were all uprooted or destroyed by this power. The huai was the first kingdom to be uprooted or destroyed. The vandals were next. And lastly, the otros were destroyed. Since the ocross were destroyed in Ad 5 38, we know the exact year that this kingdom began to rule. 1,260 years later takes us to 1798. In 1798, Napoleon's general birth year took the Pope captive. This time a papa rule over Europe is sometimes called the Dark Ages. Christians who refuse to worship as required by the papacy were imprisoned or killed. Some people called Wal Denese were among those who would not worship the way the Roman church required. They lived in the mountains in northern Italy, and when Roman armies tried to capture them, they hid among the rocks or in caves. Sometimes they sang praises to God from the top of high cliffs where the Roman armies couldn't go. Read Isaiah 33, verse 16, he showed Joel on high His place of defense shall be's ammunitions of rocks. Bread shall be given him his water shall be sure. Jesus said that the time of persecuting Christians would be shortened, and thankfully it was at the risk of their lives. Brave men of God preached the truth from the Bible showing that what the Roman Catholic Church was teaching and doing was not right. That's called the Reformation, and it really did help stop the persecution before 1798 when the Pope was taken captive. Matthew 24, verse 22, And except those days should be shortened. There should no flesh be saved, but for the elects sake, those days shall be shortened. Apply it. In some ways the Bible is like a jigsaw puzzle. Through Bible study and prayer, God helps us fit the pieces together. Then we can see that everything God says is really true. Let's see how much you remember. What were the names of the three nations that were uprooted by the little horn power? What group of people lived in northern Italy during the 1,260 years of papa persecution? What year did the 1,260 year time period start and what year did it end? What part of the 1,260 years was shortened memory?
