Thank you so much Kelly and what a wonderful experience it is to be at San Gabriel Academy. Thank you all for being here tonight. I was glad that I had a ticket so I could get in. And I'm glad you did as well. You know I can see that there was a lot of preparation that took place for this evening and for our Sabbath service tomorrow.

And I just want to express great appreciation on the part of the world church for what God is doing through you as parents, as students and as staff and faculty here in San Gabriel Academy. And as Kelly mentioned, I am an alumnus of SGA; well from the third grade, all right. In fact just for a few moments, for old time's sake, Bonnie Iverson and my wife Nancy and I walk down past the last portion of your property and just a few feet beyond that over on the other side of Muscatel is the house that I lived in for about six months when we stayed with a wonderful Aunt and Uncle that I had. And the fact that aunt lives in Marysville, not too far from Seattle right now. And I called her up and her daughter was there, I wanted to make sure that was the house that we actually lived in. Because you know things look a lot bigger when you're nine years old; but sure enough that was the house.

What a privilege to be here. And what a privilege it's been to spend a few minutes also with the faculty and the staff. Thank you Principal Nagrady for your valiant leadership here; for the way in which I can sense this faculty and staff pulling together for mission and the students. I have to tell you, I was so impressed with that beautiful song. A beautiful song: All things bright and beautiful, an arrangement by John Rutter. Beautiful accompaniment with that orchestra and the choir. You folks sounded. I'm not trying to flatter you. You sounded university-level. You are top notch. It reminds me of the very fine Academy chorale that Bonnie Iverson and I used to sing it. We had a great time in our academy, at Tacoma Academy which is all the way across this continent.

You know Seventh Day Adventist education is priceless. Thank God for San Gabriel Academy. Thank you Kevin for your encouragement that we are one family and the families are here so you are right in every, in every score. No problem. Your grammar was all right. It is a family we belong to - a Seventh Day Adventist family. And I want you to feel very much a part of it. Don't ever feel that somehow you’re secluded, you’re hidden over in some corner here in this vast Los Angeles basin and that you're not counted, that you're not important. You are a vital part of God's last day mission.

You know we have a great approach that we're trying to take, following the council from God's Holy Word and from the Spirit of Prophecy about mission to the cities. If ever there was a place that has a part in mission to the cities, it is San Gabriel Academy. You're surrounded by millions of people. And here on this corner, in this beautiful little spot, you have an opportunity to witness to so many people in this area. Don't forget. You're part of the great mission that has been given to us by Heaven itself.

You know I'm really enjoying your objectives. It's on the back of the program. It's also up here. First of all, you're educating for eternity. This is not the end of the line here on this earth. For I want to tell you I believe with all my heart Jesus is coming soon. (Amen). And I'm so glad to see the strong spiritual emphasis here at SGA. Praise God for the mission spirit I detect. The Lord's gonna bless you.

So what's happening here on this campus is not just for the next few months; not just for the next few years, it is for eternity. You're building characters. You're allowing the Lord to use those faculty members to help you to see Jesus in a more powerful way. You know it's just a privilege to be able to understand also that in this whole process, you're not to serve yourself, you're to serve others. You're to grow in Christ by serving others you can achieve that objective of growing in Christ and then aspire to excellence. Not only scholastically. Not only with a mental acuity that will help you to rise above the level of so many in other schools. Because Seventh Day Adventist Education drives you to excellence mentally but more importantly the excellence that God asks you to aspire to is a relationship with him. And excellence that will truly give you an advantage as you go out into the world and on to further study and to the various roles that the Lord has for you.

But I do want to appreciate so much the hospitality we've received so far and the wonderful opportunity to come and be with you today and tomorrow at the White Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church. And thank you for all those who have participated this morning. Andrew, thank you for you and your students who helped in such a wonderful way to set a spiritual tone as we were singing. And Krizel, thank you for opening our meeting with prayer.

You know, what a privilege it is to be part of the last day movement. Now you might expect the president of the General Conference to say yes Jesus is coming and we need to be working harder and yes the end of the world is coming and all. I wanna tell you. I don't just say that. I truly believe it.

You are living young people in the most momentous time in Earth's history. In fact, even the last few months, even the last few weeks, as you look around the world you see things disintegrating everywhere. Political situations that simply are out of control. Bombings and terrorism that is cropping up everywhere. You cannot escape the kind of terrible calamities that are coming on this earth. It's happening everywhere. Economic instability: the stock market doesn't know what to do; goes up and down. Everything is on a paper-thin edge. Cultural and social values are being challenged. The Bible itself is being ignored. You live in a momentous time. But I want to tell you, one of the most exciting times to be alive; an opportunity to truly allow those objectives: Serve others; Grow in Christ; Aspire to Excellence to be seen in your life not simply through your own effort but most importantly leaning heavily upon Jesus.

You know it's refreshing for me to come to a place like SGA. We visit a lot of places around the world. We see a lot of interesting things - mostly good, some not always so good. But I want to tell you the brief few minutes that we've spent here, and we've been here since about 4:30 or so 5:00 just kind of socializing with the staff a bit and then listening to you tonight, I want to tell you, I sense the presence of the Holy Spirit in this place. And I praise God for that. You are an encouragement to me. And I'm gonna share that with other people. I'm gonna tell them I visited a place right in that big city of Los Angeles; not far from the heart of that city where Jesus is shining through in a powerful way. Don't lose that relationship with the Lord because the Lord wants to use you in a mighty and powerful way.

Now it isn't normally the case that I come and talk to academies. Although once in a while that does happen; depends on our itinerary - where we go. But about a year ago or a little more, your Director of, I think she has a lot of titles but, Director, OK. Bonnie Iverson and I went to school together, as I mentioned, in Tacoma Academy. And she contacted me and said, “Well, you know, is it possible you could come and talk to our students? To be with us?” You need to know you have a great promoter of San Gabriel Academy in Bonnie Iverson. And I can tell that she really believes in you as students. She's proud of you. And so we work things out and arrange scheduling and normally I would have gone home yesterday after attending Loma Linda University board meeting. But you know, we extended it and last night, I had the privilege of speaking to a group in the Middle East Fellowship, a group of people who come from the Middle East but have found themselves here in this country. And in a few moments I will tell you an experience about the Middle East where we just visited a few days ago. And then this precious experience tonight and tomorrow. Sunday will be headed to Andrews University; they have a constituency meeting and a board meeting. And then home for a few days and then on to Germany and Japan and Hong Kong, and the Philippines. I see a number of Filipinos here. I want you to pray especially for our committee meeting that we will have of the Southern Asia Pacific Division.

On Friday, (March 9^th) March 18, we're going to be in the process of choosing a new division president. As many of you will know, unfortunately, Pastor Gulfan and Pastor Asoy who was elected at the recent general conference session, both of them passed away, within a period of about three months of each other. And so, SSD, as we call it, Southern Asia Pacific Division, which covers so many countries in the southeast part of Asia – Philippines, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, over into even Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan. Vast division with enormous amounts of people and, you know, over a million members. But a great challenging place. We will be selecting a new individual who will be recommended to the General Conference executive committee as the president. Please pray for us on March 18^th. That's a Friday. And then on Sabbath, March 19, we will be honoring the legacy of Pastor Gulfan and his wife and also Pastor Asoy and his wife. So you need to figure that out because, of course, there are a few hours ahead, so you pray on the right day. Because it's gonna be, it's going to have to be the 17^th here I think. So in any case, we travel a lot, and I will share with the world field the precious experience that I have noted here, in this wonderful place. And so it's a privilege that Bonnie contacted me and that we could spend a few minutes together tonight and tomorrow.

Serving others, becoming better acquainted with Christ, achieving excellence. Excelling in the excellence of knowing what your mission is here on this earth. As I said, I believe Jesus is coming very soon. Jesus has called you to do something more than just enjoy life for yourself. He's asked you to be part of something much larger than SGA, much larger than your college education that you're hoping for. Seniors, some of you who will be graduating. Much larger than just creating a nice environment for yourself and establishing a family. Something much larger than anything you can imagine. And that is the proclamation of the love of Christ, of salvation in His righteousness. The proclamation of the three angels messages of Revelation 14. To call people out of darkness and confusion to a sense of a renewed understanding of what it means to be a son and daughter of Jesus and to prepare for Christ soon coming. It is such an exciting objective. I don't want any of you to miss out. That's why you're here at SGA and parents; I want to thank you for the sacrifice that it takes to send your child to SGA. Don't ever feel that it's not worth it. It will have eternal consequences.

But the Lord is calling all of us – parents, faculty, students, myself, all of us to be ambassadors for Him. I don't know how many of you arrived this evening in a big limousine. Anyone here come in a limousine? Bonnie Iverson drove us in a very nice car so that was kind of like a limousine. But how many of you had flags waving as you came in? Anybody? Anybody have an honor guard saluting you when you came in? Well, you probably had some good handshakes and nice hugs or something that's good. But you know, I've lived in different places around the world and I've seen ambassadors. When ambassadors come, ambassadors, you know, they're very formal. Everything is just in sharp contrast to just a normal way of life; everything is crisp; people are saluting. People have flags that are waving. They arrive, you know, in limousines and the flags on the fenders the whole thing.

I want to say to you tonight that even though you didn't come here in a limousine, you are every bit a potential Ambassador for Jesus. And you may never ride in a limousine in your life. Except maybe graduation day or something or some celebration you might have; other than that, you may never see the kind of honor that the world gives. But I want to tell you the Lord is calling you to be an ambassador for Him. Don't ever forget it. Serving others. Growing in Christ. Aspiring to Excellence.

Now in the Scripture, we have some marvelous explanations about what it is to be an ambassador for Jesus. In the book of 2^nd Corinthians chapter 5, there's a whole section at the end of that chapter that is absolutely a marvelous explanation. And I wanna just share with you for a few moments tonight what it means to be part of the Seventh Day Adventist Educational System, which is, as I reminded the staff tonight in our short worship, it is the largest Protestant Educational System in the world - The Seventh Day Adventist System. Well that doesn't mean that we need to pat ourselves on the back and say, “Well, isn't that great and kind of sit back and enjoy it.” No, it takes a lot of hard work. And that's what your faculty and staff do. Sometimes, students, don't forget to thank the teachers. All right? Don't forget to thank administration. Don't forget to thank the Lord that you have the opportunity of being part of an incredible Seventh Day Adventist Educational System. But it's preparing you for eternity and for something very special, to be ambassadors for the Lord.

Well, you know, as an ambassador you have different qualifications that ambassadors are to provide. And when you look at chapter 5 of 2^nd Corinthians and you, you look at verse 17. And those last five verses of the chapter, we find some of the most important elements of what the Lord is asking you to be as an ambassador for Him. In verse 17, it says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature (or a new creation.) All things have passed away behold all things have become new.” So when you accept Jesus into your life, when you sing that song “I have decided to follow Jesus,” it's more than just a little saying. It's more than just a cute song. It means something radical has happened in your life. Not because of what you have done but because of the way the Lord has changed your life.

You see, ambassadors when they are assigned to a particular country, come to either the head of the country or to the country President's designee- Secretary of State, or whatever it might be, and they present their credentials. “I represent this government and now I am being sent by that government to involve myself with protocol and with diplomacy of your government.” When you become a Christian and you allow the Lord to work in your life, your credentials that you present to the world; those credentials are that you become a new creation, a new person in Jesus Christ.

Last night and tomorrow night, we'll stay there with my brother’s, and my brother- in-law’s home, Nancy’s brother, Don Vollmer and his wife Melinda. And in their house, they have a particular picture. This picture is a picture of Christ, outstretched on the cross. And then underneath, at the bottom of that cross is a man kneeling. And there is a little saying under it which is taken from the beautiful book Steps to Christ. And young people, if you don't know that book, you need to get acquainted with it. It's very short one; just a few chapters; powerful book. Underneath it, it says, “Man has risen to his highest point when he is kneeling at the foot of the cross.” That's your credential - changed through the power of Jesus Christ.

Just a few days ago, we came back from a trip in the Middle East. During this trip, we visited Iraq, the northern part of Iraq, northeastern part, in Kurdistan, which is an autonomous region. And a one that is open to freedom - religious freedom. We also visited the country of Israel. And tomorrow at church, I'll give you an experience of something powerful that we saw in Israel by one of the pastors there.

But I'll tell you about somebody who helped to start the Church Erbil in North East Iraq. You see, Napoleon and Rosalina were from Nicaragua. They were sent by an international electronics firm to Amman, Jordan to help to develop the business and to make sure that everything was going well for this very powerful electronics firm. When they arrived as very faithful Roman Catholics, they went to the nearest Roman Catholic Church and there aren't too many of them in Amman, Jordan because most people are Muslim there. They went to the Catholic Church and they found that the Catholic Church was very dead, very quiet. Nothing was happening.

And so Napoleon told Rosalina, he said, “You know I think we need to study the Bible. We need some kind of spiritual life.” So they began to look at the Bible and they look from Genesis, got through Genesis. They get went to Exodus. And they start going through those chapters and they came to Exodus 20. Now those of you who know the Bible pretty well you'll know Exodus 20 is where the Ten Commandments are. And they began to read “we’re not supposed to worship graven images. Oh, that's interesting. We're supposed to worship on the seventh day Sabbath.” And as they read, they began to realize that there was something important that they were missing. And so they went to some of the Protestant churches in Amman, Jordan trying to find answers to these questions and these new concepts that they were reading about. But they couldn't find it.

And finally they went to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Amman Jordan and we don't have very many Adventists in Jordan. We have about 100 members. Pray for the Middle East. Pray for the challenges that are being faced in that area. But they went to the Adventist Church and they heard a sermon by the pastor. And they got excited. And after the sermon, Napoleon went up to the pastor. He said, “You have to come to my house because I have a long list of questions I wanna ask you.” The pastor went. They studied together. Napoleon and Rosalina accepted Jesus and this precious Advent message and they were baptized and they became members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Now the electronics firm, after a little period of time, decided that Napoleon needed to go to Erbil. Now if you don't know where Erbil is, that's the ERBIL. You can punch it into Google and you'll find it on the map in North East Iraq. It's in the Kurdish area, Kurdistan, an autonomous region. And they are, they're Muslims but they have great tolerance for people. And so, Napoleon was sent up there and he went there by himself without his wife and trying to figure out how to establish things and how to get started in this challenging area. Later his wife joined him and they found one other Seventh Day Adventist couple. Brother and Sister Josef. They were from Baghdad. And they had moved up the Erbil because it was a safer place to be. That was four years ago. And those two couples came together, prayed, worship together. And today, we have 25 members in Erbil.

You see when you become a new creature in Jesus Christ as Napoleon and Rosalina became, when they found the truth, you are an ambassador for Christ wherever you go; even if it is to Iraq. I want you to pray for our church members in Iraq because we used to have maybe 300 or so in the country I think, we only have about 100 now. So many people have left the country. Pray for God's people in the Middle East, an enormously challenge to area.

Well, the second, the second qualification I just want to focus on for a few moments. Verse 18 now. “All things are of God.” Everything around you, you recognize to be owned by God. You are willing to do anything for the Lord because He is the ruler of the universe. So another qualification of an ambassador is to recognize that God rules in everything and that I am willing to do anything for Him.

There was a fascinating experience that I wanna relate to you about a man named Evan Guminoc. Pastor Guminoc, during the Soviet Union period, was President of our church in the country of Moldova. Moldova is part of, was part of the Soviet Union. They speak the same language as Romania – Romanian; but they were part of the Soviet Union. Now it was a privilege for Nancy and for me to live in Moscow for about three years. And to work for almost four years for the Euro Asia Division.

I heard this story from Pastor Guminoc himself. Pastor Guminoc wanted to visit a particular area of Moldova. Right near Romania. But it was a restricted area because the Soviet Union was paranoid about the people who spoke the same language and maybe they would want to join Romania rather than being part of the Soviet Union. So they restricted that area to people who had a special pass. Pastor Guminoc wanted to get in and visit church members and encourage evangelism in that area. Every time he would get on the bus and come up to the border, the K.G.B. agent would get on the bus, look up and down the rows, pointed Pastor Guminoc and pull him off the bus because he didn't have a pass.

One day, one of our lay people told Pastor Guminoc and says, “I know why you're not getting into that area.” Pastor Guminoc said, “Why?” He said, “Look at you.” He said, “Well, I have my coat and tie on I, you know, I'm trying to be present__.” “No. Look at you. You don't look like you belong in that region, that's an agricultural area. Now if you allow me to fix you up. We'll see if we can get you into that area.” You know many times, those of us who are church leaders, we may think we always have the best idea. But it's important to listen to lay people because many times they have just the key for what needs to be done. So Pastor Guminoc said he is willing to be totally subservient to this God who owns everything, he said, “OK. Go ahead and fix me up.” So our layman got an old shirt. He got some old dirty trousers. And then he got a basket. And in the basket he put a rooster. Now he said, “Pastor Guminoc, you get on the bus and your intention, if you get through is to go to the market place, the bazaar in the city and set up your basket there with the rooster in the marketplace. Of course, he was going to do anything with the rooster. He was just that was a kind of camouflage. So Pastor Guminoc got on the bus, put his Bible in the basket under the rooster and came up to the frontier. As they came up to the border, the K.G.B. agent got on looked at everybody, got off the bus and Pastor Guminoc got through. He got to the center of the town, went to the marketplace, put his basket down, took his Bible out of the basket. Kind of left the, the rooster there, just you know, kind of be as companion. And all day long, people came to see Pastor Guminoc because the word had been spread, go to the market place and see the man with the rooster. And Pastor Guminoc shared the Bible with them; prayed with them; encouraged them; just like your teachers do. At the end of the day, closed his Bible, put it back in the basket, put the rooster back and got on the bus and left. He did this week after week after week.

One day, he got on the bus. The K.G.B. agent came on looked across all the rows of the people, pointed at Pastor Guminoc and pulled him off. Now Pastor Guminoc was cause really worried because during that time in the Soviet Union, at least there were times, even if you carried a piece of Christian literature, you could be put in jail for five years. Pastor Guminoc came into the K.G.B. office. The colonel looked at him. Talked with him a little bit. And then he asked him a question that absolutely terrorized Pastor Guminoc. He said, “Sir, how long are you going to torment that rooster?” Because you see they had followed him all the way all the time. And they saw he didn't do anything with the rooster. And they understood what he was doing.

Pastor Guminoc was willing to be an ambassador for Jesus, recognize that Jesus is the lord of all. Knew that he was headed to jail. But you know the Lord did something very unusual because a lot of our pastors and church members ended up in jail and some of them actually lost their lives. But the Lord did something extraordinary just as he will do for you. The Colonel turned to his lieutenant and he ordered his lieutenant to give Pastor Guminoc a permanent pass into the restricted area. You see they had been following him. And they realized he wasn't trying to cause insurrection. He wasn't trying to create some problem. He wasn't trying to create a disturbance. He was building up society. He was helping families, young people and others. And they recognize that he truly was an ambassador for Christ and goodwill even though the colonel probably didn't believe in Jesus Christ.

Now, my young friends, remember: serve others; grow in Christ, and; aspire to excellence. Because God wants you to be the most powerful witness possible - an ambassador for Him. That's why you're here at SGA.

Well, another beautiful reason for being an ambassador, it says here in verse 18, towards the end, “that God has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is that God was in Christ reconciling the world Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them and is committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

I want to tell you the world today needs people who will pull others together; not divide them. By God's grace be an ambassador for Jesus from SGA in the home, in the school, in the community that you are part of the solution and not part of the problem. Be truly an ambassador who brings reconciliation.

Another beautiful qualification is then in verse 20, it says, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ behalf, be reconciled to God.” Bring people together. Be reconciled to God and to each other. Help people to truly understand what it means to be part of God's great wonderful Last Day Movement.

And then that final beautiful qualification for being an ambassador for the Lord. Verse 21. “For He made Him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Now this is one of the most fantastic verses in the entire Scripture, I think. The Father made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. We’ll be studying that throughout eternity; understanding what kind of love as it that sent the Son of God to this earth to be reviled, to be crucified as a sinless being for us to enjoy eternal life. That's why you're being educated for eternity. To understand that beautiful and wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ.

Be a young person who is willing to stand for truth though the heavens fall; regardless of what may happen, be an ambassador for Christ. I think of the young people in Tanzania in Africa who are asked to go to a village, to evangelize, and to hold evangelistic meetings. None of you are too inexperienced or too young to actually hold some meetings yourselves. One of these days you'll have that opportunity perhaps. Get involved in sharing God's word; whether it's personally or even in a public way. These young people were sent to a village in Tanzania, a Muslim village, a place that was really difficult and tough. But you know young people don't know it can't be done. And so these young people went to this village and they prepared for the evangelist to meetings. Do you know how they prepared? Do you know how they prepared? Many times we prepare with all kinds of programs and activities and. They spent two weeks praying. That's where your power will come from. After those two weeks they set up a tent. They invited people to come. People came to the meetings. It was exciting. People were appreciating the preaching of the Word of God because these young people were being ambassadors for Christ. Later, they found out from some of the village elders and leaders: “We came to your meeting the first night. We wanted to burn your tent down but we couldn't get to your tent. There was a wall of fire around your tent. When you left the tent and went home that night we had tempted to follow you to kill you but there was a wall of fire around every one of you.” You see when you take up the job of being an ambassador for Christ and you are in connection with Jesus and you're growing in Him, the Lord will protect you and care for you. Out of that evangelistic meeting, 50 people were baptized because of the ministry of young people. And there in that village in that Muslim village, the Seventh Day Adventist Church began to thrive.

I wanna urge each of you stand firm for what you know to be truth - this wonderful truth that the Father made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. In the dark days of communism in the country of Romania, one of our elders was called into the jail and police station. They demanded that he give up his faith in Jesus. And I want to tell you, I praise God for the religious freedom that we have in the United States. Don't take it for granted because one of these days we know from Bible prophecy, we're going to lose it. Use that freedom, right now and they tried to coerce our leader into giving up his faith in Jesus. He said, “No. I serve a mighty God and I am going to remain faithful to Him.” And so they decided to try to in some way, break down his faith.

Now you may not have torture applied to you today. You may not be hauled into a police station. But I want to tell you the devil is trying his best to break down your faith right now. Through media. Through focusing on things other than spiritual things. Through improper associations. Through bad lifestyle. Whatever it is, the devil wants to break down your relationship. Don't let him succeed. Stay close to Jesus.

And so our elder decided that he was gonna remain firm for the Lord regardless of what was going to happen. He was put into a cell and they decided to deprive him of food for three days. Knowing that after three days, he'd be so hungry, he would do anything just to get some food. Well, the Lord had other plans. They put him into the jail room, into the cell, locked the door and left him there. But our dear elder determined to stand for Jesus regardless of what may happen to be an ambassador for Him.

The first day, something unusual happened - a cat appeared in the window, came through the bars of the jail cell and came to our leader and in the mouth of the cat was a slice of bread. Not, you know, flimsy white, nothing bread- this is real European bread, you know, solid stuff. And so he took this bread and he realized that the Lord was giving him food just like the Lord had rewarded Elijah with food by the ravens. So he took his bread and he ate the bread except a little tiny piece that had been in the cat's mouth. And he put that in his pocket.

Second day. Same thing happened. Cat came. Bread. Eat the bread. And you know, you're not going to get too fat on one slice of bread a day but you're not gonna die. “Our bread and water will be sure” as we face the future. Don't be afraid of the future. Don't be afraid of persecution. Just realize that the God you serve is gonna take you through. And so the third day, it happened again; ate everything except the little piece that was in the mouth of the cat; and put that his pocket and he had three pieces in his pocket. I don't know how he resisted eating those three pieces. But he had a plan.

The officials came to the jail cell expecting to find a man half crazed with hunger, ready to give up his faith. They open the door and they saw our brother quietly seated on a chair. They said, what's happened? How come you're just sitting there? What kind of reaction is this? And he began to tell them the story of how God had rewarded his faith. And just at that time, the cat appeared again, and again a slice of bread in its mouth. The jailer looked at the cat. He said, “That is my cat and that is my bread.” The jailer was so impressed by what God had done for this brother that he took him home. And he pumped him with questions to find out what kind of God do you serve.

My dear friends here at San Gabriel Academy, what a privilege it is to be with you. What a privilege it is to live in these very last days of Earth's history. What a privilege it is to proclaim that Jesus is the Lord of our lives. And that He is coming very soon.

Jesus wants you as an ambassador for Him. Are you willing to accept? Are you willing to let your experience here at SGA grow into an excellence of a relationship with Jesus so that you will be an ambassador for Christ? You may never ride in a limousine, but one of these days you're going to ride in a cloud going to heaven. You may never have flags waving as you enter somewhere; in fact some people may be very much against what you're doing. But when you get to heaven, the angels will wave you into the holy city. You may never have an honor guard here on this earth, but I wanna tell you you will be honored by the hosts of heaven. Not because of what you have done. But because of what Jesus did through you. Are you willing to be an ambassador for Him? If so, would you stand your feet right now? Amen.

Our Father in heaven, we thank You for this wonderful group of people. My heart has been refreshed as I have looked into the faces of young people who know You and are willing to allow You to work in their lives. Thank you for San Gabriel Academy; for its many years of service to the Los Angeles area and for what you are doing through the influence of dedicated teachers and administrators at this academy. But most of all, Lord, I ask that You will use every young person, not just in the future, but right now, to be an ambassador for You. Thank You for what You're doing in the hearts of each of us. And thank You for the promise of Your soon return. Help us to be faithful through our connection and dependence upon the grace and the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Thank You for these students and faculty and parents. I place them in Your hands. Make every one of us an ambassador for You in Jesus’ precious name, we ask it. Amen.
