Lift up the trumpet and loud let it ring, Jesus is coming again.

Cheer up ye pilgrims, be joyful and sing, Jesus is coming again.

This is the voice of prophecy, a voice crying in the wilderness of these modern days.

Coming again, coming again, Jesus is coming again.

Thank you, Lord, for giving to me Thy great salvation so rich and free.

Wide, wide as the ocean, high as the heavens above, deep, deep as the deepest sea, is my Savior's love.

O Lord, our Father in Heaven, we seek Thy face in prayer today, that Thy blessing may rest upon everyone who listens to this broadcast.

Guide us in all we say and bring light and truth to our hearts.

There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God, a place where sin cannot molest near to the heart of God.

The amazing thoroughness of our Heavenly Father's protection and care is beautifully expressed in Miss Delker's song, His Eye is on the Sparrow.

Why should my heart be lonely And long for heaven and home.

When Jesus is my portion, My constant friend is he.

His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

His eye is on the sparrow, And I know he watches me.

Here now is HMS Richards, the voice of prophecy speaker.

We were following our guide to the depths of the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky.

Several times he stopped and turned to us and said, keep close to the guide.

There are pitfalls in that cave, the so-called bottomless river, and miles of dark corridors and tunnels.

There would be no chance for a man to find his way out of the cave without a guide or a light.

So it is with the travelers in this world.

There is no chance for us to get through the dark wilderness alone.

We need the light of God's Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

God sent His Spirit to guide us on this important journey.

If we attempt to walk independently of Him, we shall stumble into the deep darkness of eternal night.

Shortly before his crucifixion, our Savior made a precious promise.

It was this, I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever.

Then he declared that he would return to his father.

In spite of this promise of the comforter, the disciples were despondent and sorrowful.

Then he explained why it was necessary for him to go away.

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away.

For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you.

But if I depart, I will send him unto you.

So we see that the Holy Spirit came to comfort God's people and is really the vicar or representative of Christ on earth, the continued life of Jesus.

It is actually written in scripture, the Lord is that Spirit, 2 Corinthians 3.

Now we find that the Holy Spirit has been at work in the world from the beginning and is first mentioned in Genesis 1 verse 2 where we read the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

We read of the Holy Spirit in Isaiah 40, 13 and other places.

The Spirit, all through the Old Testament, inspired the prophets, led his people and guided them.

No 1 can flee from the presence of the Holy Spirit.

How then is it that Jesus speaks of the Spirit's coming after his departure?

For he says, If I go not away, the Comforter will not come.

How is it that the Apostle John tells us that the Holy Ghost was not yet given because that Jesus was not yet glorified?

The answer is that when Jesus was crucified, went back to heaven, and sat at the right hand of God, the Holy Spirit came in a new way.

He came as the representative of Christ, the vicar of Christ, no longer to operate independently but to speak for Christ, to testify of Christ, to be the head of the Church, to show the Church the things of Christ, to dwell in the hearts of men in Christ's name, and to exalt the name and power of our wonderful Savior.

In fact, speaking of the coming of the Comforter, Jesus says, I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.

It is through the Holy Spirit that Christ dwells in the hearts of believers.

For we read in Romans 8, 9, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, The body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness.

Notice how important it is that we believe in and accept the presence and work of the Holy Spirit of God, the third person of the Holy Trinity.

He shall not speak of himself, whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak.

He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine and show it unto you.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you.

There is a guide in the deserts of Arabia called the Dove man.

He carries in his breast a homing pigeon with a very fine cord attached to its leg.

Whenever in doubt as to which way to take, the guide throws the bird into the air and the homing dove quickly strains at the cord to fly in the direction of home.

Then its master knows unerringly the direction to take.

No wonder they call this guide the Dove Man.

So the Holy Spirit, the heavenly dove, is not only able but willing to lead us in the right way, to guide us at last to our home eternal.

Please remember that at the baptism of our Savior, the Holy Spirit appeared in bodily form as a dove, lighting upon the head of Christ, and the voice of God declared that this was his beloved Son.

In Acts 10.38 we find a reference to this, how that, quote, God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost.

This was the anointing of Christ for his ministry—anointed with the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost.

The word ghost is the Old English word for spirit.
