Of Mosquitoes and Learned Men

Some of you probably come from other states, right?

They are attracted to, I guess, some people, right?

Sometimes you wonder why they're coming to me and not this brother over here or this sister over here, right?

You just went out and just, oh, and there's mosquitoes.

It doesn't matter if it's male or female.

They do feed on plant and fruit nectars, both of them.

Well, because they have to lay thousands of eggs.

What's inside your skin is what they needed, which is protein and amino acids.

And human blood is just full and rich of it.

So with this lesson, I would like you to go to Daniel 1 verse 5.

Sometimes when I'm thinking at the house where we're staying with the mosquitoes all around, is there a good mosquito I was just wondering?

Is there a good 1 that's just nice to you?

You can't train mosquitoes to be nice to people, right?

But for us humans who are created in the image of God, we have hope.

In Daniel 1 verse 5, this is what we're looking at.

It says, and the king appointed them a daily provisions of the king's meat and of the wine which he drank, so nourishing them 3 years, and at the end thereof they might stand before the kings." So verse 5 presented a conflict, right?

The conflict here is the food, But is the food the problem for Daniel and his 3 friends?

So what is the problem that they're facing?

So if you can raise your hand and I will call on you.

What is really the problem if it's not the food that's been defiled by or offered to idols?

How they're dealt with if they don't eat the king.

Okay, how they're dealt with if they don't eat the king.

Obedience of God versus obedience to men Wow, it's another good 1 1 more The real problem not the food how they're dealt with, and question about obedience.

Well, they are never used to eating that food, though.

If you eat white bread in 1 day, it's going to be sick.

So also, so our health needs to involve that, like only the day.

And here, Daniel come into Babylon as a slave.

They have traveled long distance and they have come to this place.

And then in verse 4, the reason they were selected is because these are the children that are well-favored, skilled in all wisdom, so they're smart kids, right?

So let me give you this quote from Proverbs and Kings.

Daniel can and his friend can choose to obey God or to obey man, right?

So those 2 things are pulling at them, right?

Had Daniel so desired, this young man, he might have found in his surroundings a plausible – what's the next word?

A plausible, right, excuse for departing from Strictly temperate and sister habits.

He might have argued that, dependent as he was on the king's what and what.

These 2 things are really powerful to be the excuse to depart from those habits.
