Description
Peter was one of, if not the most fervent disciple in his desire to follow Jesus but he had serious character flaws that needed addressing. He would, like Paul also meet his life’s end in the city of Rome but unlike Paul, he wasn’t a Roman citizen and so suffered a worse imprisonment, beating and death. Tradition has it was he was crucified upside down as he was not worthy to die the same way that his Lord and Saviour Jesus had.
