Falling Back In Love

Fully Known and Fully Loved

It's good to be here with you this morning and today.

And I'm excited to hear about the evangelistic program you'll be having next April.

If you're excited, let me hear you say Amen.

And so, just to hear the plans that are going on for your preparation, because unless we are rightly trained, we're not going to be effective.

So it's good to hear how God is leading you here at Advent Hope.

I've been asked today to speak in the preparation for those meetings to focus on revival, especially in the 3 meetings today, this morning and this afternoon.

Especially looking at heart reform because I need a heart reform.

So this morning we'll be looking at heart reform this afternoon, again on Sabbath, heart reform, and then the last 1, spending time with God, getting to know God, combined with the morning devotions, how to have morning devotions.

And this morning, the sermon is entitled Fully Known and Yet Fully Loved.

I invite you to turn with me in your Bibles to Romans chapter 5 verse 8.

Romans chapter 5 verse 8 in your Bibles as we go through our study this morning.

As Adventists, we've been told in the Scriptures that there will be a people in Revelation Chapter 14 who will have no guile or fault before the throne of God.

We've been told in the Word that There will be 144, 000 who will follow the Lamb with us wherever He goeth.

We are told in the Scriptures here that there will be a final generation who will have the character of Christ perfectly reproduced within them.

And God has a message for His people in the last days that there needs to be a people who reflect His character of love.

But beloved, what is not often been told and seen is how 1 is to obtain this character perfection that God will have his people in the last days.

Now we hear a lot about and I've heard a lot about the what, the where and the when.

But God's impressing me that we need to understand more of the how and the why.

We're told in the Scriptures that we are to behold the Lamb of God and Jesus Christ as the Lamb died on the cross and as we behold the love of God as revealed on the cross of Calvary through the Lamb, it will take away the sins of the world.

I want my selfishness taken out of my heart.

I want pride to be taken out of my heart.

I want to be unselfish and loving and kind in my family to my wife, to my husband, to my children.

I want to be patient and Kind to everyone.

And God says in order for that to happen, you must first behold the Lamb of God, then would take away the pride and selfishness out of our hearts.

And God wants this morning a heart to reform.

In God's remnant church in these last days, 7 diademates who have first a heart reform in their lives.

I'm going to read to you a quotation from Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings, page 76.

If we want sin to be taken out for the final generation, notice This is the how, this is the why.

She says, God does not employ compulsory measures.

Love is the agent which he uses to expel sin from the heart.

In other words, we know the what and the where.

When we heard the last day events and the movements and the last generation, the character of Christ perfectly reproduced within us.

But we're told the inspiration in the Word of God that the how and the why is lacking because we're still here over 160 years later and we're not.

So had they not gotten the message, did not our pioneers not know what the message was?

They rejected the message of the how and the why.

The how and the why this morning, beloved, I'm going to suggest to you, what it says right here, it is the only agent, love is the agent which He uses to expel sin from the heart.

Beloved, we need a generation that has not only experienced but seen the character of God's love.

That's what God wants within us this morning.

So as we look upon the cross and the love of God and the stories in his word, may the roots of sin and selfishness be expelled from my heart and your heart.

Father as your we humbly open your word and pray for heart reform this morning that the reform in our lives may follow.

And Lord, come in and change us as was shared in Esavio's school, change us from the inside out.

And so Lord, we surrender our lives to you.

We thank you for already answering our prayers in Jesus' name, amen.

Romans chapter 5 verse 8 notice the Bible says, the Bible says, but God commends his love toward us in that while we were yet what?

In other words, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

While we were yet sinners, while we didn't Follow God, obey God, guess what?

Before you became converted, before you believed, God loved you this morning.

For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more being reconciled, we should be saved by His life.

In other words, While you were not thinking about God, while you hated God, while you're the enemy of God, guess what?

And this God, in other words, while you are still sinning and hating God, God still loves you.

You see, His love for you is not based upon what you do, what you are, or even what you can become.

But His love, God never changes, and God is love, we're told.

His love is the same yesterday, today and forever.

To Rest From All Your Works

Fathers, begin this study we ask for in your Holy Spirit that we may see the lesson you have us to learn about your character this afternoon.

And may our minds be focused on you as our prayer.

And May we truly kneel at the foot of the cross and everything that we think we ask in Jesus name.

Amen What are we to glory in Jeremiah chapter 9 verse 23 24 the Bible says Thus say the Lord let not the wise man glory in his what?

Neither let the mighty man glory in his what?

But let him that glory, glory in this, that he understand and what?

We're going to go through that a little bit in the beginning.

That he understand and knows me, God says.

And that I am the Lord with exercise, loving kindness, judgment, righteousness in the earth.

For in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

So we're not to glory in our knowledge, our wisdom, what we know, our intellectual knowledge, in our power, our positions and all that we have.

We're not to glory in our money and the things we possess, but we're to glory in anything that is out there.

Okay turn to John 17 verse 3 in your Bible.

John 17 verse 3 and let's see what the Bible says.

The Bible says here, This is life eternal, that they might...

They might know Thee, the only true God in Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

So eternal life is based upon knowing God.

Now the Bible at certain points it shows knowing God and sometimes it skips several steps and it goes to the end.

Know God and it went all the way to the end, eternal life.

So we're going to fill in some blanks here.

And how did you get knowing God to eternal life?

Now this knowing the same is found in Genesis 4 verse 1 where Adam right knew Eve you know that and they conceived an intimate knowing of who God is.

Now what happens when we know God's character?

In your handout here, I made it easier for you so we can go through the beginning.

So the reason why people don't love is because they don't what?

So here you have here, if you know God you will what?

Look at the quotation here from the desire of ages, page 22.

It says here, only by love is love awakened.

Look at the next John 14, 23 in your handout here.

This is a speed up a couple of texts I put in there.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he what?

In other words, if you love God, you will be obedient to God.

And does not God need people who need to be obedient in these last days?

So, here we have here, let me go step by step, you must know God first, right?

And you tell me after, if you love God, what will you truly do?

There's another text in John 14 that says, if you love me, right, keep my commandments, right?

And so that's what God, this is the progression we're looking at here in what's it's saying in these texts.

Now, if you look at your diagram, I laid it out for you and it says here if you know God you will love God and then if you love God you will obey God right and then we also know in Revelation 22 verse 14 that those obey God's commandments will have access to the what?

And in Genesis, remember in chapter 3, they put a sword, an angel with a sword to protect it because whoever ate of the tree of life will have what?

So now you have here, If you know God, you will what?

If you obey God, you will have access to the what?

And those that eat of the fruit of the tree of life will have what?

If you know God, you will have eternal life.

How To Spend Time With God

We'll be going through this together again.

John, we actually went through that already.

But, let's go over what we went already over.

And, first of all, in order to share the love of Jesus with power, we must have a first experience with him, right?

This is actually a booklet that I started to use and I put together on spending time with God because I realized that in order to get to know God, people gotta learn in a practical way how to get to know God.

So I just kind of put it together in a little booklet form.

And this is actually a school we started in Hawaii called Living Waters School of the Prophets and we just finished our second program this past couple weeks ago and our focus is actually trying to reveal we do study of Daniel Revelation and also several hours each day we have the teachers working with the students in some form of practical trades like agriculture and also in cooking, healthy cooking and plant-based diet.

And then also we study God's education rediscovered in the mornings for worship.

So this is a, we're trying to create a family environment because I'm realizing that a lot of young people today, they're growing up in homes where there is not a picture of how a family should be like.

And so you bring them into the home here of a school home, show them love of God and environment, and also help them to see a better picture of what God's character as a Father is up in heaven, and lead them into a walk with Jesus Christ.

And this is 1 of the programs we go over is teaching them how to spend time with God.

And this afternoon I would like you to see how we can gain a more practical time with spending time with God and devotions.

And that's what we're looking at, devotions and spending time and practical tips I think that we can learn together on.

I love interactive teaching where we're going back and forth but I think for recording purposes it's gonna be a little bit hard trying to do this but I'm open for comments also as we go through this.

So may we learn to learn more about God's love and His character.

Father, as we begin this last session, we ask for special blessing.

May our minds be clear to see what you want us to learn and may you be uplifted and glorified.

We go over this booklet and you may follow along.

In order to have eternal life, what must you and I do?

This is life eternal that they might what?

Know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

So if you know God, you obtain the eternal life, right?

So that's what God wants us to experience.

He wants us to have the obedience from the heart, within my heart.

If you, that's why, if you love God, let's look at that.

Because if you love God, right, you will keep the first 4 commandments, right?

And if you love each other you will keep the last 6 commandments.

Because love, and that's why love is the fulfilling of the law.

In other words, the reason why God gives His law to you and I is because He loves us.

The law was meant, given to us, not as to be a burden and a thing we have to do and that's so hard to do.

The reason God gives the law is because He wants us to be happy.

And the reason why He wants us to be happy is because He loves us.

So God shows us His love, and the reason why He wants to give us His love because He wants us to be happy, And the way He knows that we can be happy is that He gives us His law.

So the law reveals God's character of love.

And the summary here says eternal life is to know God's character.

And to love God is to be obedient to His Word.

How did Jesus get to know and thus love His Father?

How did Jesus get to know and love his father?

And the Bible says here, And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place and there he what?

He prayed with his father in order to get to know him.

And that's why Jesus felt the importance of having devotions every morning.

Every single morning he spent time with his father.

Because he wanted to get to know his father more.

He's been separated from his father since his birth and he wanted to get to know him and get reacquainted all over again.

And God taught him during these times of morning devotions on a regular basis.

And if Jesus spent time and felt the need to spend time with his Father, my question is, what about you and me?

Do you think that maybe we need to spend time more with God, especially as we go through the last days and we prepare for the final events.

Do you not think that we need a special measure of God's outpouring of His love and His grace in these last days than ever before?

The final generation needs to experience God in a powerful way.
