As It Was In the Days of Noah

My uncle, who is a Seventh-day Adventist minister of many years in Los Angeles, has often reminded me that Ellen White says that the work will finish in the south.

And you were blessed, we were blessed, all of us were blessed 2 years ago, July the 3rd, Elder Smith, July the 3rd, we were blessed.

We were blessed to hear a message that has charted the course, which I believe, brothers and sisters, represents at least 1 last time.

I cannot speak I don't know when the Lord is coming but we ought to act like it's our last chance to get it together as a church.

And it charted a course for us to hear finally the things that are pertaining to our salvation, not just the good but also the things we ought to stay away from in order to make sure we stay on course.

God used Elder Wilson, and keep praying for Elder Wilson.

Every time I fly in, I'm not always successful, depends on what side of the plane I'm sitting and the weather, but every time I fly in to preach, give a seminar in Atlanta as I'm coming over downtown, I like to look down at that very distinguishable white dome, the Georgia Dome.

I consider that place the epicenter of the shaking.

Now I'm from California, Brother Joseph, he's from California.

But that's not a spiritual shaking, that's a physical shaking.

That's consequential to prophecy, but inconsequential in terms of our soul salvation.

But this shaking that is going on right now is highly consequential to us being ready for the Lord's coming.

And so I pray by the grace of God each 1 of us will latch hold reacquaint ourselves if we haven't done already acquaint ourselves with the present truth if we've done so reacquaint yourself if you think you don't have no need for it Ask God to give you the need for it, the present truth, so that as time goes along you will be moving closer to Christ's coming, closer to Christ and getting ready for his coming than the day before.

We have to make sure we're on the right course by the grace of God.

And so my prayer is this morning, thank you so much Elder Smith, I want to say again, for just giving me that confirmation as I had planned to stand up and say this, and I hear him saying the prayer about our president.

It just reminds me that the Lord is at work, amen?

I'm going to ask you everyone, because of the nature of this message, it's very important that we all hear it.

So as it was in the days of Noah, so as it was in the days of Noah.

I'm going to ask you please to kneel where you are.

Let's pray together that God in this message.

Heavenly Father, we need something that we don't have, or that we have and we need more of.

And Lord, that is a heavy weight and an impossible feat if it is put on my shoulders.

But Lord, if I can be removed and in this place you can come forth, that impossible task will be very possible and your people will be blessed.

But then Heavenly Father the delivery of the word, difficult as it may be Lord, is not the end all.

Because Lord you don't want your word to fall on any deaf ears.

You want Lord 100% acceptance of truth today.

If they're not receptive, please keep talking to us.

That we need to hear what we're going to hear.

That we need to know that we are hearing truth and that it is not the preacher but it is the message that the preacher has been given.

Lord break up the fallow ground, the stony places in our hearts, those sins that are not yet confessed, those roadblocks, Lord, that cause us to block out messages like these.

May this be that moment, may this be that time, Heavenly Father, where all of those preconceived ideas those cherished idols and sin will forever be buried with the proclamation of this message and are receiving of it.

Then Lord, we will be careful to give you the praise, the honor, and the glory for what takes place.

These messages and presentations this afternoon are sequential.

Therefore, my request to all of us is don't miss anything this afternoon.

If you happen to go I think Elder Gaines says that you can eat here.

And we don't ever worry about how many come.

We at the church I pastor we tell all the visitors just come.

We will experience the feeding of the 5, 000 miracle every Sabbath, amen?

Then at 03:00 or thereabouts, 03:00 or thereabouts, we will begin the afternoon seminar.

The first is the message this morning, so as it was in the days.

The second will be so as it was in the days of Lot.

The first 1 in the days of Noah, the second 1 in the days of Lot, and then we will spend quality time looking at the rest of what God says, even thus shall it be in the days when the Son of Man will be revealed, we will find out how that compares to our day and time.

That will be what I call my longer seminar.

So you please, by the grace of God, make sure that you are here throughout so that you can get this in sequence.

Turn with me in your Bibles to the book of Matthew.

Matthew chapter twenty-four beginning with verse thirty-seven.

Now I'm Matthew chapter 24 beginning with verse 37.

Now I'm looking at the time brothers and sisters and I I did not ask Elder Gaines what time you normally let out.

And Elder Gaines went like this with his hand.

I was going to tell you that I will ask Elder Gaines immediately after the service what time I should have ended.

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

For As in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking and marrying and given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark and knew not until the flood came and took them all away so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Now I'm going to ask you to quickly go over to the book of Luke.

The Bible says, and as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man.

They did eat, come on read it with me everyone, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all.

They did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded.

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and did what everyone?

Even thus shall it be, in the day when the, what does that say everyone?

When the Son of Man is revealed we will talk about verses 28 down to verse 30 this afternoon but today we're talking about Matthew 24 37 to 39 and Luke 17 26 and ending with 28 what you have consistent with both chapters that I have read both references to the days of Noah is that there was a course of action that man was embarking upon, an action of eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage, self gratification, personal attention to the things that they like to do and enjoy and engage in and that entertains them and that winds them and dines them.

They were into those things that brought immediate self gratification.

And they continued in this course according to Matthew 24 until the day that Noah entered into the ark.

Those who study scripture know that that means until judgment or probation was closed.
