The Future of the SDA Church

Today's presentation is entitled, The Future of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

We are getting ready to finish the year 2024, and what an eventful year it has been, yes or no?

It has been an eventful year, not just for our country, not just for the world, but for our church.

I've had the amazing privilege for the last 13, 14 years, as most of you already know, of doing full-time evangelism all over the world, and I get the privilege of sharing the love of Jesus everywhere I go.

Over the years and especially currently, there has been a lot of doubt spoken about the future of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

There has been a lot of concern about, is the church apostatized?

What is going to be the end of the Seventh-day Adventist church?

So today, the presentation is going to be all about that.

Now, I normally never do this, but I'm gonna do it now.

I'll be happy to answer any questions that anyone may have.

But in this morning's presentation, I'm gonna cover 6 major things, or 6 main things.

The first 1 we're gonna be looking at is what is the church?

Next question we're gonna be answering is what things should we contend or fight or strive over?

The third thing is what is the last day remnant church?

Number 4, is the organization and authority of the church biblical?

Number 5, what is the purpose of the remnant?

And number 6, how to deal with problems within and without the remnant church.

Before we get started, I want to invite you to please bow your heads for a word of prayer.

Our Father which art in heaven, we want to thank you Lord for Jesus.

Want to thank you Lord that we have your word.

Lord there is a lot of different conversations happening about your church throughout this year.

A lot of great concern about what's gonna happen to this church in Bible prophecy.

And Lord, I pray that you would please speak this morning.

That you would please draw us closer to you.

For we ask these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

During World War II, both the German army and the United States army had their own individual unique weapons.

The Germans, and please forgive me if I'm pronouncing this wrong, but the Germans had the Mauser, the Luger, and a submachine gun.

The Americans had the M1 rifle, the M1 carbine, they had the Thompson's submachine gun, they had the Colt 45.

Now the sounds that those weapons made were different from each other.

The Germans' weapons had a certain sound and the American weapons had their own.

And they were, and while they were fighting from city to city, from block to block, while they could not see each other, each army could tell whose side they were on, who were they were getting close to, who were they were firing at, by the sound of their weapons.

Ladies and gentlemen, this morning, the same is true in the spiritual warfare that we are all in.

You can tell which side of the battle you are on, not by your profession, but by the weapons you are using.

If you were a citizen in Germany, you could tell which army was fighting.

We could tell which army was shooting just by the very sound of the weapon.

Ladies and gentlemen, this morning we are at a war, yes or no?

The question is, what kind of weapons are we using in this spiritual warfare?

You see, Paul says, "'For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God through the pulling down of strongholds.

Paul continues to say, we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against rulers of darkness around this world.

So in today's study, I want us to consider what weapons we are using in the good fight of faith.

The future of the Seventh-day Adventist church is already determined in scripture.

It's already set in stone, but how about yours?

You see, your future, ladies and gentlemen, is determined by using the right weapons.

And so this morning, I wanna ask you, what types of weapons are we using in this great controversy that we find ourselves in?

The word church literally means a calling what?

The definition for church is what everybody?

A calling out, a congregation or church assembly.

It is a calling out of something into something.

And a good example of this is with Abraham.

God called Abraham out out of his country in Acts 7 tells us that that country was Babylon.

So literally Abraham who was the father of nations He was called out of Babylon and the Bible describes, this is the father of faith, the father of nations.

So the church is composed of individuals that are called out and now are brought into something.

The Bible tells us in Acts chapter 2 verse 47 at Pentecost where 3, 000 people were baptized, there where the early church was just blooming and growing, the Bible says they were praising God and having favor with all the people and the Lord added to the church, what everybody?

Saved, the church should be a place where those who are being saved are found.

So friend, a church is a group of individuals that have been called out into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now how does the Bible define the church?

Paul tells us in 1st Timothy 3 15, but if I tarry long that thou mayest know how thou ought to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and the ground of what?

So the church, what is the definition of a church?

The Bible describes it as a place where the truth is grounded in.

Well, Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 11, 2, he says, I promised you as a pure bride to 1 husband.

So Paul speaking to the Corinthian church, he says, hey I'm working with you to prepare you for the marriage of the Lamb.

Throughout Scripture you'll notice this theme in Isaiah 54 verse 5, the Bible says, for your maker is your what?

The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 3 14 it says, turn O backsliding children says the Lord for I am what?

And finally in Revelation the Bible describes that the let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to him for the marriage of the Lamb has come and his what wife has made herself ready my dear brothers and sisters how does God view the church he views it as his what as his bride isn't that wonderful isn't that beautiful Now how much does Jesus love his bride?

The Bible says in Ephesians 5 25, as Christ also loved the what and gave himself for it.

In Acts chapter 20 verse 28 the Bible says, he has purchased with his own what.

It's very beautiful to know that the amount of love that God has for this church has been shown at the cross.

We all We all know the most famous text in scripture, John 3, 16, for God so loved the what?

The world, but in Ephesians 5, it says, Christ loved the what?
