We have also learned while the sanctuary is in heaven, the outer court is here on earth.

The first step on our path of Jesus is what we call justification.

So today, we're gonna begin our journey into the tabernacle, amen?

We will see that the tabernacle consists of 2 rooms, the larger known as the holy place, and the smaller room known as the most holy place.

Our time this morning will be focusing on the holy place.

On the southern side of the tabernacle, we find The golden lampstand or the menorah.

On the north side, we see the table of showbread consisting of 12 row loaves of bread.

And then on the far western side, we see the golden altar, the altar of incense.

We find the walls, just like the other furniture, are made out of what kind of wood?

It is set with silver sockets to make it solid yet portable.

1 thing I love about this compartment is that you will find angels inside.

You have the 2 veils upon entering the holy place and upon entering the most holy place.

So you can see a veil here and a veil here.

Also, across the entire ceiling, it is interwoven with figures of angels.

The ceiling had multiple layers, which we'll handle later, but the top 1 had badger skin to make it waterproof.

So the question about the room is, why would we have so many angels?

This is Sabbath school, I'm trying to get some interaction.

The outer court, while it represents planet Earth, where Jesus came and died, the sanctuary represents heaven.

And that's where we're gonna study this morning.

The truth about angels and the origin of evil.

This study is significant because it creates a framework, a backdrop to the plan of salvation.

It's actually a fascinating story, and I pray that throughout, through the power of the Holy Spirit, there will be lots of questions answered.

Question 1, under the symbolism of the King of Tyre, God describes the creation of Lucifer.

What kind of being was Lucifer when he was created?

You see, the children of Israel, because of their apostasy, lost their nation and were taken into captivity.

And while there, God gave the gift of prophecy to Ezekiel while he was exiled in Babylon.

He began to prophesy not only to the Israelites who were in Babylon, but to the Hebrew people who were still there.

Jerusalem, I want you to remember this, or it's important, Jerusalem hadn't been destroyed yet, but it had been conquered.

Nebuchadnezzar would still make 2 more trips to visit Jerusalem before he flattened it completely.

God, through Ezekiel, would send messages to the people in the surrounding nations.

The surrounding nations were instrumental in leading Israel astray.

Tyre was a seaport nation known for being financially well-off merchants.

Due to this, God had a special message to send to the king of Tyre.

And it's very interesting that In chapter 28, the conversation changes.

It switches from talking directly to this king to someone else.

Let's read and see if you can figure out who it is.

You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty you were in Eden the the garden of God every precious stone was your covering the Sardis topaz and diamond burial onyx and jasper sapphire torque torque Torquay's Torquay's I can't say that right now in the emerald with gold.

The workmanship of your trembles, timbrels, and pipes, " what's he speaking of there?

The voice, was prepared for you on the day you were created.

Can you agree that God was not speaking to the king of Tyre?

I mean, clearly, King of Tyre was not in, I should have clicked that for you, was not in Eden, right?

At this point, the king becomes a symbol of the fallen prince of angels known as Lucifer.

First thought is that you can almost read the heartbreak, the immense sadness that seems to come through.

If you read them as God saying them, you can't help but hear the heartbreak of God, right?

I don't know if I had ever thought of it that way before, but read that understanding God's desire for this person.

Either way, the angel was not an ordinary angel, clearly.

This being was known for his intelligence.

Next, the text also says perfect in beauty.

Don't you think all the angels are beautiful?

But something about this 1, God is being clear, he was perfect in beauty.

The quality of your timbrels and pipes, this alluded to his talent.

He had musical talent, was prepared for you on the day you were created.

If this was a guy here on earth I think people would say he was the complete package, right?

However, this is describing Lucifer or the devil, which many people have thought of as a beast in a red leotard with a pitchfork, right?

It's a false image that's actually not in the Bible.

Number 2, what station did Lucifer hold in the courts of heaven?

Still speaking of Lucifer in the next verse, Ezekiel 28, 14, you were the anointed cherub who covers, I established you, you were on the holy mountain of God and walked back and forth in the midst of the fiery stones." We haven't reached the most holy place yet, But here we see the angel who covers it.

This angel is stationed clearly in the heavenly sanctuary, covering God's throne, much like the angels on top of the Ark of the Covenant.

Without your sanctuary glasses, you might read over this verse without seeing the profound meaning God is sharing.

The mercy seat, the top of the ark of the covenant, it represents the throne of God.

And to be clear, if we read this, it shows this angel, Lucifer, standing right next to God in heaven.

Lucifer was the highest ranking angel in heaven.

He was the complete package with the best job available.

I think a lot of angels are probably bright, but this name implies he was something special to behold.

Does the Bible confirm for us the name, number 3, of this rebel angel and why he rebelled?

How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning.

For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest side of the north.

I will ascend above the heights of the cloud.

What do you hear over and over and over again?
