We've been learning about the plan of salvation in the sanctuary, amen?

God gave it to Israel for them to share with the world.

We have walked in the outer courts where we learned how to become a Christian, and then we went into the most the holy place where we learned how to remain a Christian.

If you haven't, if you don't remember that, go back and watch.

For the last week we have journeyed in the most holy place where we are learning the prophetic section, remembering it is about our relationship with Jesus first, and then understanding how that fits into prophecy, specifically end time prophecy.

In this, we have been studying the Day of Atonement for several lessons now.

The daily services, we reviewed this in Sabbath school, are where the innocent lamb, the sinner comes and takes his innocent lamb, goes into the temple, places his hand on the innocent lamb, transferring the sin from the sinner to the innocent spotless lamb, killing the lamb, transferring it to the blood, the sin, the priest then takes the blood and goes where?

It's then transferred into the sanctuary.

Then at the end of the year, the sanctuary is full of those sins.

They experience the yearly services or what we know as the Day of Atonement.

Israel recognized this as judgment, right?

This was the cleansing of the Most Holy Place, where the record of sin was done away with.

Judgment, they learned, was not something to fear, but to celebrate, because it was the destruction of sin.

The only fear would be if you didn't give your life to Jesus.

If they engaged in the process, God would take care of them.

This morning, also in Sabbath school, we looked at Daniel 2.

We looked at the Nebuchadnezzar statue, right?

We saw a comprehensive view of history, encompassing the rise and fall of nations.

God predicted this long before it would happen.

We looked at history before it was history, right?

The history was from Nebuchadnezzar until Jesus' second coming.

Daniel couldn't write the history in retrospect.

We went through some of those facts of why that would have been impossible.

I'm not gonna go through that, but if you weren't here for Sabbath School, I would encourage you to go listen to it on YouTube or AudioVerse.

It's a great study, and it lays the foundation for our presentation that we'll be doing later on how the devil has worked to counter the heavenly sanctuary.

We're going to study that later, not today.

Today we are studying a prophecy that is remarkable because it reveals the starting point of judgment.

This is the final phase of the plan of salvation.

It is the final aspect of Christ's ministry before He comes to take us home.

And you're going to see that we are truly in the toenails of earth's history.

I almost jokingly told the Sabbath school class, that's true, this morning is my statue has broken twice.

As we jump into this you will see parallels between Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 and 8.

We will find that the rise and fall of the same nations in the same order.

To correctly understand what God is trying to communicate by going over the same sequence, we must understand the principles of repetition and expansion.

You see, God, as we know, is a brilliant teacher.

When he lays down the foundation in Daniel 2, the same ground we are going to go over with additional detail this afternoon.

If God is repeating this, don't you think we should know it it is if it's as if he was saying I want you to follow the stream of time I want you to know where we are I would like you to pay special attention and now to learn something else something new God is a brilliant teacher We're gonna examine the longest time prophecy in Scripture.

Our presentation this coming Wednesday will cover the details of the judgment, but today we're gonna look at the timeline of the judgment.

Let's start with prayer Bury heads with me Dear Heavenly Father Lord, we want to praise you It's Amazing how much history and how much prediction that we can look at to put our faith even stronger in your word.

And Father, as I speak now, I ask that my words be yours.

That the principles, Father, in your Bible come through clearly and truly.

And that we accomplish what you would want us to today.

So the first question, Daniel had an amazing vision in which he saw a ram with 2 horns.

The ram which you saw having the 2 horns they are the kings of Meda-Persia I wish every test was like that easy don't you just straight out and says it You'll notice right away that the starting point of the nations is a little bit different in Daniel 2.

Do you remember in Daniel 2 it started with Babylon, right?

But here it's starting with Medo-Persians, starting with the second 1.

The reason was, is this was written later and Babylon was about to be removed.

The Mede and Persians conquered the significant part of the then known world and ruled from 539 BC to 331 BC.

Next, Daniel saw a goat with a great horn between its eyes.

Daniel 8 21 and 22 and the male goat is The kingdom of Greece the large horn that is between its eyes is the first king for as for the broken horn and the 4 that stood up in its place 4 kingdoms shall arise out of that nation but not with its power I'm gonna pause before I explain that a little bit more.

We're going so fast, I can't read you every text.

There is so much more in these chapters of Daniel.

I would encourage you, if you didn't read them before today, I sent out a calling post last night and the day before telling you to read them, but if you didn't have the opportunity, I'm not gonna ask you to raise your hand, but I would ask to understand and comprehend, go read it.

It's a great way to solidify for yourself this story.

That is reflective of the fact that when they began conquering under Darius, the Medes were the larger, more prominent nation.

Meda-Persia was actually unified under 1 king, and later Persia under Cyrus, we talked about him in Sabbath school, became the more dominant nation.

To the extent that historians today refer to it as the Persian Empire and have just removed Meda.

Another creature appears on the scene and it's a goat with a large horn on its head which takes out the ram who is the goat the goat is Greece our text The large horn that is between his eyes is the first king as for the broken horn and the 4 that stood up in its place.

This is 4 kingdoms that will rise out of the nation, but not of its power.

This morning we discussed Alexander the Great.

And his military conquests, which enabled him to rule the then known world.

If you go back to Daniel 8, verse 5, it describes a goat moving across the ground.

It was as if he was moving so fast, it was as if he was moving so fast, it was as if he was not even touching the ground.

You remember when we talked about Alexander the Great, he conquered the then known world in 4 years.

If you start thinking about that, he wasn't driving or flying across Europe.

They were marching across all of that Europe.
