Downloading with Safari on a Mac Computer

1m read

Recently, we made an update to our website which makes use of more advanced embedding of metadata tags into our MP3 recordings, and which also makes the website generate some of our MP3s for us automatically. Around that time, we began to receive a steady stream of problem reports from people who use the Safari web browser on a Macintosh computer. Safari seems to be erroneously interpreting the new MP3s as HTML pages, and consequently when viewed, the "pages" are filled with nonsense characters.

We do not yet have a solution. We don't know for sure if the new tagging system is the problem, or if it's how the MP3s are generated. Thank you for your patience on this matter. We are trying to find a solution. In the mean time, we recommend using the Firefox web browser to download our recordings.
