Welcome to the Seed Pod for beginners. I Ms. Ashley, and I'm so glad you are here with me today as we sing and learn about God through nature and the Bible. Heavenly Father, please bless all the boys and girls who've joined us today. Help us to learn so much more about you and come close to Jesus. We pray in Jesus name, amen. We're gonna sing three songs. This first song is called Little Birdies in the Trees. You can use your fingers to open and close like a little bird beak when we sing little birdies. And then when we sing in the trees, you can be the tree. So reach your arms out and you can sway a little bit like You're a tree. Seem to sing this song to me. Jesus loves and cares for us, so that part you can give yourself a big hug. All right, let's try it. Little birdies in the tree. Sing to sing the song to me. Jesus loves and cares for us, so we sing so happy Little owls in the tree to sing the song to me. Jesus loves and cares for us, so we sing so happy. The next song is Jesus sends His Angels. When we sing angels, you can weave your arms up and down like you're an angel flying. And then we say plain. Maybe there's something you can hold like you're playing with, and when we say and sleeping, you can put your hands together and rest your head in it like you're sleeping. Let's sing together. Jesus. Angels. Angels. Angels. Jesus. Angels who watch me while I'm playing. Jesus. Angels, angels. Angels. Jesus. Angels do watch me while I'm sleeping. It's time to review our Bible story from this week. I want you to help me out by saying the answers out loud after I ask the questions. Can you do that? Question number one, Jacob told his daddy something that wasn't true. A lie. Is it ever a good idea to tell a lie? No. No. We should never tell a lie. Question number two, the lie upset Jacob's brother so much that he had to run away because he was so afraid. What did he see going up and down on a ladder in his dream? Did he see angels or apples? Angels. Angels. And question number three, God was telling Jacob, I am with you. Does he send angels to watch over you too? Yeah. And Angel? Yes, that's right. Our lesson today is kangaroo with a purse joke, 35 11, which teaches us more than a beast after us. Have you ever seen an animal with a purse? A purse is a bag or pouch to carry things in. What are you carrying in your purse? Money. Kangaroo mommies have a pouch in front of their tummies. That pouch is a very special place to carry their babies. A kangaroo baby is called a Joey. When the Joeys are born, they're tiny. Just like a thumbnail look on your hand or on your mommy or daddy's hand, look how small their thumbnail is. That's how big or how little the baby is. Why did Jesus give mommy kangaroos a pouch for the joey? Cause one, two. When a Joey is born, it's so tiny it can't see and it can't hear, so cover your eyes and you can't see anything and cover your ears, and it's hard to hear that little baby can't do much to protect itself. They are not born in the mommy's pouch, but they have to get there very fast, otherwise they won't live. When the Joey gets into the pouch, it finds its mommy's milk. Then the mommy's pouch closes up. The Joey stays in the pouch and doesn't come out for the next three months, but the mommy kangaroo can even go swimming with the Joey insider pouch. When the Joey gets big enough, it can come out of the pouch sometimes as it gets older and older, it stays out of the pouch longer and longer, but it still goes back inside to sleep in the pouch until it's eight months old. Jesus made kangaroo pouches just for the Joeys. He knew the Joeys would need to be close to their mommies. Mommy kangaroos bounce very high and far. Jesus knew the Joeys couldn't keep up, so he gave them a pouch to ride in. Isn't it wonderful how Jesus takes care of the baby? Joey's? Yeah. He will take care of you two just like the kangaroo babies, and he loves you even more. It's memory verse time. Our memory verse this week is Genesis 28 15. I am with you and we'll keep you. Now let's learn it in a scripture song. I'm with you. You. I am glad you joined us again today.
