Welcome to the seed pod for beginners. I'm Ms. Ashley. And I'm so glad you are here with me today. As we sing and learn about God through nature and the Bible heaven father, please bless all the boys and girls who've joined us today. Help us to learn so much more about you and come close to Jesus. We pray in Jesus name. Amen. Joy is being really happy and thankful for something. Let's be joyful by smiling big and point in our fingers to our smile. When we sing, I have the joy. Then you can point to where your heart is down in your chest. When we sing down in my heart, let's try it. I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart. I have that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart to stay. And I'm so happy. So very happy love of Jesus in my heart, down in my heart. And I'm so happy. So very happy. I have the love of Jesus in my heart. I have joy, joy, joy, joy, my heart, my heart, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart to say We are gonna sing happy Sabbath. Can you think of something that makes a happy noise? Can you go find it something that rattles or rings or you can clap your hands? Let's make a joyful noise. As we sing. Sabbath is a happy, Day's happy, happy, happy, a happy It's time to review our Bible story from this week. I want you to help me out by saying the answers out loud. After I ask the questions, can you do that question one? When parents brought their baby to the temple or church for the first time the priest would hold the baby, what did the priest ask God to do for the baby and the parents to bless them? That's right. He asked God to bless them. What does the word bless mean? It means to take care of them, to help them, to give them good things, to be his helper. Those kind of things. Question two. Why were Simian and Anna so happy to see baby Jesus? After the dedication, God kept his promise. They knew God had kept his promise to send Jesus to save us. Question three is God your heavenly father two. Yes. Yes he is. You belong to God and you are so very special to him. Our lesson today is babies. Luke two 40 And the child grew and the grace of God was upon him. When Jesus was born, he came as a tiny baby. He was very little, just like you were when you were born, you have a little brother, a little sister. Do you remember how small they were when they first came home? Yes. Jesus was really little too a real baby. When babies are born, they need their parents to do just about everything for them. What are some things babies need mommy and daddy to do for them? A lot of things, change diapers, Change diapers, give them milk, burp them, dress them, clean them, carry them from place to place because they can't even crawl yet and love them. Although a human baby needs help with a lot of things. There are things that a healthy baby can do almost as soon as he or she is born. Can you think of anything that a little tiny baby can do And do sleep? Yes. They're really good at sleeping. Yeah. Anything else? They moved their fingers. A lot. Babies can hear very well from the start. By the time a baby is 10 minutes old, a baby can even tell where sound is coming from babies. As young as even two days old can tell who their mommy is. Even if she only says one word, wow. That's because they've been listening to their mommy while they were inside her tummy growing and babies can cry. Oh yes. Babies can cry. As soon as they're born, a baby's brain grows very fast. The brain is the part where our body that we used to think the brain of a baby that's only one year old as twice as big as when the baby was born. Jesus made babies so that they would learn many, many things. As you grow. Jesus wants you to learn more and more and more about him. Why do you like babies? If one baby is crying that I know her baby, then I, I say boo. And then Jay laugh. Aw. So you like to help him feel better? Make him laugh. Yeah. That's a fun thing to do Then they don't cry anymore. What is something that you were learning about? Jesus? No, I know he was very nice to people. Yes. He was very nice to people just like babies. Needer parents to give them lots of attention and take care of them. God wants us to know that he always pays attention to us and he takes care of our needs. It's Time. Our memory verse this week is Psalms and 27 verse three children are a heritage from the Lord. Now let's learn it in a scripture song. Children are a heritage from the Lord. The Lord, the Lord children are a heritage from the Lord. Psalms children are from the Lord, from the Lord, from the Lord. Children are a heritage from the Lord. I'm so glad you joined us today.
