Hello friends. Welcome to the seed pod for kids. Thank you for joining me today. As we spend time with our friend, Jesus spending time with Jesus is the best way to start your day. Let's begin our time together, praising him. There are actually two songs in our him book with the same words, but they have different tunes. It is the song. The Lord is in his holy temple. We are most familiar with the song on page 6 92. It's a scripture song. The words are direct quote from Hiba chapter two, verse 20. If you want, you can look it up and sing along with us. The Lord is in his holy temple. Holy temple. Holy silence. Silence For the next few weeks, we're starting a new program called hide his word. It's a time for us to memorize a passage of scripture so that God's word can be hidden in our hearts. This particular quarter, we are going to be focusing on memorizing the 10 commandments each day. We'll learn a new verse or review what we've learned so far. It's pretty exciting to hide God's word in our hearts. Are you excited? I know I am. If you wanna go to our website, starting with jesus.com under the resource tab, there's a button Katie's corner, click on that. And there is a PDF download called the 10 commandments that you can download and look at. It's a beautiful paper that you can print out and you can put on your fridge, or you can save it as a picture on your phone so that we can be learning and memorizing the 10 commandments together. What are we waiting for? Let's get started. We have been learning about the children of Israel out in the wilderness. And as we have been learning about that and about our 10 commandments, I started realizing that we should really memorize the 10 commandments altogether. So for the next few weeks, we're going to focus and practice on memorizing the 10 commandments. And to make this a little easier, you can go to our website, starting with jesus.com. Under the resource tab, you have Katie's corner. We have a PDF download called the 10 commandments. You can click on that button and it pulls up a paper that you can either print out, or you can save it on your phone or iPad or computer so that we have the 10 commandments right there in front of us. And we can practice memorizing them. Do you know why we wanna memorize God's word? Because we will not sin against him and especially the 10 commandments. Those are the happiness rules that God wants us to learn. So let's go ahead and we'll get started today. We're going to focus on Exodus chapter 20 versus one and two Exodus chapter 20 versus one and two. You can look this up or you can use the download that's on our website. Either one, I'm gonna be using our download. And today we're gonna start with the introduction to the 10 commandments because Exodus chapter 20, doesn't just start off with the 10 commandments. It talks about God and his power and his might and what he has done for us. And then it gets into the 10 commandments of what we do for him. So let's go ahead and get started. Exodus chapter 20 verse one and two. We're gonna be using the new king James version to memorize this. Here we go. Why don't you listen? I'll read it through twice and then we'll try saying it. You after me. Okay. Just listen. And God spoke all these words saying I am the Lord. Your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Okay. I'm gonna read it one more time and God spoke all these words sane. I am the Lord. Your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Okay? Why don't you say it after me? Let's go ahead. We'll start with verse one and then go to verse two and God spoke all these words sane. Go ahead. I am the Lord. Your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Good. Let's say it again. And God spoke all these words sane. I am the Lord. Your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. How did you do? Let's try it one more time. And God spoke all these words sane. I am the Lord, your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, you are doing an excellent, excellent job. Keep up the good work and practice throughout the day. Maybe write it down on a little card you can put around, or you can download our 10 commandments page that you can use to be able to start memorizing this. Let's hide God's word in our hearts. Today, This week, we are going to continue looking at the tabernacle that the children of Israel made now who gave Moses the design or the plans for the tabernacle. It was God himself and every specific piece of furniture, every single thing inside this tabernacle was to remind them of Jesus and how much he loves us and his plan of salvation. So when they would see one of these articles, that's what we call it. One of the pieces of furniture, like the altar of burnt offering, they would remember and think of Jesus. It symbolized Jesus. So this week we're gonna continue going through the sanctuary and learning about the different furniture that there was in that sanctuary. The sanctuary is fine to just hear about it, but it's even more important to see it, to see what people have designed, what they've come up with based on the instructions that are in the Bible, because we have the instructions that tell us how big, how wide, how tall, how to make the different furniture, what it was made out of what it was covered with. There's all kinds of wonderful, detailed descriptions. And there are all kinds of wonderful programs that you can see that help to explain and show what they have come up with. Based on this interpretation from the Bible, one of them is the Messiah mansion. That's what we talked about a little bit last time last week. And there's also a wonderful resource that our family has enjoyed called the tabernacle. Man, I'll put that link in the description box below. We have really enjoyed him. He goes around with a model of the tabernacle and he shares the different in depth lessons, as well as showing what it may have looked like according to the Bible. So our family has really enjoyed the tabernacle man. And I hope that you, as a family, look at different resources so that you guys can learn and be hands on so that you're not just listening. You're also doing, you're acting, you're touching, you're creating the tabernac on the sanctuary that you, as a family, look for resources, whether you pay a little bit of money, there's plenty of free resources online to be able to learn more, talk about the sanctuary together and learn as a family more about this wonderful plan that God gave for us to be able to understand a little bit better, the love that Jesus has for us and what he was willing to do for us. But that's enough of that big introduction. That was a lot, lets bow our heads and pray. Before we get started learning about the next piece of furniture there in the courtyard. Lord, come into our hearts and help us to better understand how much you love and care for us. We love you so much and we're so thankful for this sanctuary that gives us a glimpse of your love for us and you were sacrificed for us. Amen. Do you remember what we saw? Last time we saw the white cloth fence. We imagined that we were walking into the courtyard and right in front of us, there was only one gate to the courtyard, right in front of that gate was what the altar of burnt offering. It's where they would offer the lambs to God and right beyond that was something else. We're gonna notice that today it was made of metal and it shown in the sun, it was a large basin full of water. And we're gonna imagine that we have a priest for a guide and our guide shows us that this basin is called the labor. Now there's no measurements in the Bible for how big this labor was. But the Bible says that it was made of mirrors that the women gave. And it was also made of bronze. The priests would be cleansed in this labor or with the water from this labor before they would go and do the services in the sanctuary. So they would always take off their shoes and they would wash their hands and their feet at the labor before burning an offering on the altar or before going into the sanctuary. Now they didn't get in the labor like a big bathtub. They didn't wash their hands within it. They would dip the water out with some kind of dipping container and they would pour that water over their hands and over their feet, they would wash so that they could approach God. And they would be clean. Now only the priests were washed with this water. The people they did not, they were not washed with it. It was only the priests. The labor represents the washing that Jesus gives us to wash away our sins. Isn't it wonderful that Jesus washes away our sins? Yes. Just like that. Water washed away the dirt that was on the priest's hands and their feet before they started working. And before they started serving God. So we can be washed by Jesus blood. We can ask him to forgive our sins and he'll wash them away. Just beyond the labor was the door and that door, it was covered with curtains. It was an entrance into the sanctuary. It was lots of different colors. It was blue and purple and deep red, the one door and the curtain remind us that there's only one way we can be forgiven and be back with our loving heavenly father. Again, what's that way through Jesus by trusting in Jesus' life and his death for us. So let's read John, let's go to John Matthew, mark, Luke, John it's in the new Testament, the fourth book in the new Testament, John chapter 10, verse seven and verse nine. So we're gonna skip verse eight, John chapter 10, verse seven and nine. If you need more time, you can pause the recording. And then when you're ready, you can press play again. That's what we often do as a family. When we need to look up Bible verses, we press pause to look it up so that we're ready. And then when we found it, then we press play and we're ready to go. So let's read John chapter 10, verse seven and nine. Then Jesus said to them again, most assuredly I say to you, I am the door to the sheet. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find past. So how are we saved through Jesus? There's one door we can go in and out through Jesus. We can be saved. Now let's skip over to John chapter 14. So just a few verses over. It's probably a few pages over for you in the Bible. John chapter 14, and let's read verse six, John chapter 14, verse six, Jesus said to him, I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. How do we go to the father through Jesus? Yes. Isn't that wonderful that we can go to God through Jesus, just like entering the sanctuary through that one door, just like entering the courtyard through the one gate. Jesus is the way he is the truth. He is the life. He loves us so much. He was willing to die for us so that we could have access to God so that we could have forgiveness. Oh, that's so incredible. I am so glad that Jesus was willing to do that for you and for me aren't you let's tell him, Lord, we are so thankful for the sacrifice that you gave in dying on the cross so that we could have forgiveness so that we could go to heaven. Please come into our hearts, help us to accept your free gift and to live each day in you in Jesus name. Amen. Our memory verse today is from Psalm 122 verse one. It says, I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord. David was glad when he went to worship God and we can be glad when we go, how do we worship God? Well, we don't go to a tabernacle or a courtyard. We go to the church. We worship God in his sanctuary. We sing songs to him. We praise him. We thank him. I have really enjoyed going to church and worshiping with other believers. Have you? I hope so. Let's learn this new song together. Psalm 122 verse one. I Was glad I was when to us. I was us two.
