The Long Arm of the Law

Father in heaven, thank you for your ongoing mercy to us.

We're so comforted by Psalm 103 verse 10, he hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Father if you were to give us what we truly deserved we'd all be dead.

Thank you for your patience, your long-suffering nature.

Whatever we may have done today to offend you dear God forgive us we pray.

Not just for the sin, forgive us for the agony and the pain our sins cause you.

I ask you now, Father, to touch my mind, touch my lips with a call from the altar, a live call.

Father, my desire is to present truth that you may be glorified, Jesus may be glorified, and those whom you love so much may be blessed.

Restrain the urges of the carnal nature, Father, and let me seek no glory whatsoever.

Let me find my greatest joy in seeing you receive all the praise.

He that committeth sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning stop well let's finish the verse for this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil now the Bible says the devil sinneth from when when was that do you have a date no when was it we don't know but as far back as the mind can go from the very point that Satan was not Satan then, but it was Lucifer, was part of the environment of heaven when he sinned.

Whosoever committed sin transgresseth also the law.

So as far back at least as Lucifer, There has been the law.

But the law was not created because of Lucifer.

As far back as we can go God's law which reflects his righteousness has been there All right, let's go to Genesis chapter 3 Well chapter 2 really is 1617 of Genesis to our subject, the long arm of the law.

The Bible says, and the Lord God commanded the man saying of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it for in the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die now there is only 1 reason why people die.

And I hope you see what I'm trying to say.

Now if God tells Adam if you eat you will die, God is letting Adam know that there's what?

Because you can only sin if you transgress the law.

And sin being the transgression of the law, it means disobedience is transgression of the law, disobedience is sin.

God said, in the day thou eatest thereof, thou shall surely die, because the law cannot be broken.

John 10 35 in other words it's a penalty you break it you must pay the penalty or someone pays it for you but the penalty must be paid.

The law existed in the days of Lucifer and before.

The law existed in the Garden of Eden before sin.

We'll read from verse 10, our subject, the long arm of the law.

We read from the King James version of the Bible.

In this the children of God are manifest and the children of the devil.

Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God.

For this is the message that he heard from the beginning that we shall love 1 another.

All people do not spiritually belong to God.

For this is the message that he heard from the beginning that we should love 1 another.

Not as Cain who was of that wicked 1 and did what?

Because his own works were evil and his brothers righteous.

Verse 13, marvel not my brethren, go on if the world hates you.

Verse 14, we know that we have passed from death unto life, come on, because we love the brethren.

He that loveth not his, keep reading, say that again, abideth in death.

Verse 15, whosoever hiddeth his brother is a murderer.

Specifically as he gives the general principle Cain and Abel now whosoever loveth not his brother is a murderer and he had already identified the murderer in verse 11 and verse 12.
