Broken-hearted God

Lord, how are they increased that trouble me?

Shield for me, my glory and a lifter up of my head.

I cried unto the Lord with my voice and he heard me out of his holy hill.

I will not be afraid of 10 thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about.

Arise O Lord, save me O my God, for thou has smitten all my enemies upon the cheekbone thou has broken the teeth of the ungodly salvation belongeth unto the lord thy blessing is upon thy people god is good and all the time Let's try that again as though we mean it.

I'm a living witness to the unending goodness of God and I thank him that he is the kind of God that he is.

You know the Romans created their own gods and they behaved just like the Romans.

The Greeks created their own gods and they behaved just like the Greeks.

In the Bible system we don't create our gods, God created us in his image and God has demonstrated beyond all controversy that he is a good God and I thank him for that Psalm 100 verse 5, for the Lord is good.

As I said earlier, I'm a witness to the goodness of God.

Our subject for this evening, a broken-hearted God.

Before I get into that, make sure that if you're not using 1 of these, they're turned off completely.

He rewards those of us who approach him with reverence and worship him in reverence.

Favor number 2, while I'm speaking pray for me and say Lord put your words in that man's mouth.

The words of God will bring back that family member who left the truth.

The words of God will bring peace to that office environment.

The words of God will give meaning, purpose, direction to life.

Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 9, Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth.

And the Lord said unto me, behold, I have put my words in thy mouth and really, I want to speak God's words.

And favor number 3, think as you listen, Isaiah 01:18, come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord.

Father in heaven thanks again for this opportunity to come to you in spirit and in truth to worship you dear God and to praise your most deserving name.

We ask if we've offended you, forgive us.

Cleanse us, we pray, and grant to us another measure of your spirit, the spirit of truth, that you may guide our minds in the path of truth, dear God.

Let your angels protect this place, that we may worship you in safety.

Keep me ever conscious that my purpose in this pulpit is your glory and not mine.

Help me to speak with the humility of Christ.

And if anyone listening to me, has contracted a COVID-19, heal that person I pray.

Or any other ache or pain that your people have, remove it father.

Go into Matthew chapter 12, let's read verse 34.

Oh generation of vipers, how can ye being evil speak good things?

For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

Which effectively means, if I curse, my mouth has not sinned.

If I punch someone in the nose and reshape the person's nose, my fist has not sinned.

Having said that, let us go now to Mark chapter 7.

We'll read from verse 20 our subject a broken-hearted God.

He was not 1 of the 12 disciples, but a follower of Christ.

You have Mark 7 from verse 20, and he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

This is a fundamental principle we need to understand.

That which cometh out of the man or the person, that defileth the man.

Which means defilement goes from the inside out.

I feel the urge to go very slowly tonight.

That is why Christ could take our sins into him and not be defiled because defilement does not flow from the outside in.
