Adventist 101

We want to wish everybody a good morning.

And we give God the praise for whom all blessings flow.

Can you just flip it back to the first slide?

We're going to talk about Adventism 1 on 1.

But before we do that, before we have prayer, I'd like to introduce a very good friend of mine.

But my first good friend, I was very encouraged when he called me and told me that he is coming to Army Bible Camp.

He is a conference official from the South Central Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, man of God, and I will truly say 1 of the few ministers that I know, I'm not giving him no glory, I'm giving God the glory, that I will truly say is a standard bearer, amen.

He is the prayer ministries coordinator and men's ministries coordinator of the South Central Conference.

Pastor Roy Ruggles, can you come up to the front?

I'm just going to ask him to send greetings from South Central Conference of 7 Day Adventist.

And I tell you, I strongly recommend him for your next Army Bible camp.

I think you can use that microphone if it's working.

I bring you greetings from the Great South Central Conference, which covers 5 states, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the northwest part of Florida.

I am really encouraged and impressed with the number of I see here to worship the Lord.

You don't find too many people who want to come to a situation like this.

I was scheduled to go to Orlando, Florida this weekend.

We're having a youth, a United Youth Congress where all of the regional conferences are coming together and converging together, had already made plans to come.

And then I heard about Pastor Martin Kim.

I don't know if Martin is here, but he came to 1 of our prayer summons, got inspired, fired up, and then just started going to blaze for Jesus Christ.

And I am impressed with your longing desire to have a closer walk with God.

I would just encourage you to take advantage of the various opportunities that are here, not only with the seminars and the other things that are going on, but the prayer room.

Number 2, have an opportunity to go out in nature.

Just looking at the lake, looking at the mountains, everything is so serene, and God wants to speak to you.

I declare unto you that the Lord has a special blessing in store for you this weekend, and don't miss it.

And then lastly, I'm really impressed with the number of young people that I see here.

And let me tell you what Ellen White says.

She says, with an army of young people, rightly trained, how soon the finishing of the work could be.

If you never heard him before, there's a special treat in store for you.

Doctor, I want to have a word of prayer with you before we...

It's not by might nor by power, but by your spirit, saith the Lord.

We're so thankful for that which we've heard today.

Now Lord, we're into our final segment and sometimes we get a little weary.

And I pray your healing hand upon my brother here.

Even though he has his prepared text, you know what we need.

Bless us, we pray, and we'll be careful to give you all the praise, honor, and glory.

And we're living in a time of almost universal skepticism and apostasy when it comes to the doctrines of the Bible.

Ellen White says that the very truths that we believe will be attacked, not just from without, but also from within.

And it's very imperative that we understand what thus saved the Lord for ourselves.

And not just what thus saved the Lord, but how to obtain a thus saved the Lord for ourselves.

It's 1 thing to be spoon fed, but how do I feed myself?

This is what the goal of Army Bible Camp is about.

And what I want to talk about today is Adventism 101.

And Tonight will be Adventism 101 Part 2, maybe I could say Adventism 201, so I'll change that tonight.

This is Adventism 101 and tonight, excuse me, tomorrow will be Adventism 201.

Tonight, I'll be preaching tonight at 7 o'clock, whatever time it's gonna be this evening.

We're gonna give an inspirational message of why we need to be rooted and grounded because there's a shaking going on.

And everything that can be shaken will be shaken.

But thank God, the prophet of the Lord says that things that cannot be shaken will remain.

And This is where we are to equip you with the Word of God on how to use that Word as a sharp two-edged sword.
