God’s Challenge to the World

My Father which is in heaven, at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.

We should start practicing for that today.

Father, I'm seeking your presence to be here.

Father, there's a message I believe you have for us to waken us up to the time that we're living in, Father, to wake up and to shine for you, to wake up and to do something for you.

There's too many of us Church members, the only time we ever say your name, the only time that we sing a song is when we're in church on Sabbath.

Father, we as a church need to wake up and proclaim your message in every means every day.

So Father, I pray that you may touch our hearts today.

I pray that the time will all of a sudden become irrelevant.

I pray that your voice will become so clear that every distraction will be laid aside and that our hearts will be truly open to your Spirit.

Father, you have said that if we ask for your Holy Spirit, you will give us.

So I'm claiming that promise and asking that you will give it to us.

Today's sermon is entitled God's Challenge to the World.

I've had a bunch of Bible studies lately.

So if you are in those Bible studies, you know this first question I'm about to ask you.

And so if you know it, don't say it, let's just give everyone a chance.

And maybe everyone knows it and that's just wonderful.

But my thought is this, what do you think is the greatest problem with the Laodicean church?

What do you think is the greatest problem with the Laodicean Church?

Okay, this is I shouldn't even ask questions, huh?

I think the greatest problem in fact let me not just think let's go to our Bibles to Revelation chapter 3 we're asking the question what is the greatest problem with the laity see in church?

I've heard answers it's because they're lukewarm.

I've heard other answers, it's because they have need of nothing.

But the answer I want us to fixate on is found in Revelation chapter 3 where we find the others.

But more specifically I want to tell you what I think is the greatest problem with the Laodicean Church.

In Revelation chapter 3, when you're there, let me hear an Amen.

The Bible says in verse 20 the following, Behold, this is Jesus speaking, I stand at the door and knock.

If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and sub with him and he with me.

The greatest problem I think with the Laodicean Church is, Where is Jesus?

I'm not saying that Jesus is not in our church.

That would be foolish of me to say that because in Revelation chapter 1, we know that Jesus is walking where?

In the midst of the 7 golden candlesticks.

The greatest problem I think with the Laodicean church is somehow, someway, we're distracted from that knocking on the doors of our hearts.

Somehow, in some way, we have not welcomed Him in to stay and eat with us.

But He doesn't want to eat with us just 1 day of the week.

I think the greatest problem with the Laodicean church is Jesus often times is just heard still knocking.

For many of us, why maybe perhaps is He still knocking and knocking for years and for years.

What is it that is distracting me from hearing that voice?

Revelation 6 as we continue on the topic, God's challenge to the world.

Revelation 6, when you are there let me hear an Amen.

The Bible says in verse 14, And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together.

Every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

And the kings of the earth and the great men and the rich men the chief captains the mighty men every bondman every free man hid themselves in the dens and the rocks of the mountains and said to the mountains and the rocks fall on us hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of His wrath has come, and who shall be able to what?

Why is it, friends, that we see this horrible picture that at the second coming, when Jesus Christ comes back to bring His people home, there's many people running away from Him?

Why is it, friends, that at the most beautiful sight in all humanity's ever seen at Jesus Christ's second coming, the most climactic event in Earth's history, we see many people instead of running to Jesus are running away from Him.

Why is it that we see such a horrible picture?

And the question that is asked in Revelation 6 is, the great day of the wrath is come.

Why is it that these people instead of feeling that love, instead of wanting to go and hug Jesus, are getting this vibe that, oh I'm going to experience His wrath?

Why is it that these people are running away because of the wrath of the Lamb?

Why are people not welcoming in into our lives?

Friends, I have a thought and the thought is when Jesus, the reason why people are running away from Jesus when He comes back is because they're running away from Jesus today.

That run, it doesn't all of them automatic start just when He comes back.

Jesus is knocking on the doors of our hearts today.

And the question is, are we running away from that knock?

Romans chapter 1 tells us why so many people are going to experience the wrath of the Lamb in the end times.

Romans 1 verse 18 says, For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in how?

The reason why so many people are going to experience the wrath of the Lamb, friends, you know why?

It's not because they didn't know the truth.
