Hello friends. Welcome to the seed pod for kids. Thank you for joining me today. As we spend time with our friend, Jesus spending time with Jesus is the best way to start your day. Let's begin our time together, praising him the song we're marching to Zion sounds very similar to the Bible verse in Jeremiah chapter 31, verse six, where it says for there shall be a day that the Watchman upon the Mount Ephrem shall cry arise. Let us go up to Zion unto the Lord, our God. We are to be God's Watchman, encouraging people to leave this sinful world and prepare to go to Zion. Also known as heaven, that beautiful city of God. Call Love the Lord, our join, join in and Around the Welcome to hide his word, a special program where we take a few minutes to hide God's word in our hearts. Let's go ahead and get started. The last commandment that we've been working on. Do you remember what it's about? It's about not coveting. Yes, you're right. There's a list of seven items that God has that we're not to covet. So you shall not covet your what neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. What else should we not covet nor his male servant nor his female servant, nor his a nor his donkey nor anything that is your neighbors. So in other words, anything that you see that belongs to someone else we should not covet. We shouldn't wish, oh, I want that. I wish I could have that. We don't wanna do that. Do we? No, let's do this one more time. You shall not Cove it. You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife nor his male servant, nor his female servant nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything. That is your neighbors. Great job. Your memorizing, these 10 commandments. It's great. You're right at the end. Keep up the good work let's review from the very beginning. And let's go all the way through and see how well we can do. Are you ready? Here we go. And God spoke all these words sane. I am the Lord, your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, you shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them for I the Lord, your God am a jealous God. Visiting the iniquity of the fathers, upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of your Lord. Your God in vain for the Lord will not hold him. Guiltless, who takes his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy six days, you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord. Your God in it, you shall do no work. You nor your son, nor your daughter know your male servant know your female servant know your cattle nor your stranger, who is within your gates for in six days, the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them and rested the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it honor your father and your mother that your days may be long upon the land, which the Lord, your God is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything. That is your neighbor's. You're doing a great job. Keep up the good work and remember, keep practicing. The more that you practice, these verses the deeper it'll be in your heart. And you'll remember it for the rest of your life. And that's such a wonderful thing because these are commandments that God has given us so that we will not sin against him. And it's pretty important to not sin against God. Isn't it? Yes. Hi boys and girls. I'm glad you're back with me today. Do you know where Moses is right now? We've been talking about Moses. Haven't we over the last several weeks, actually like the whole quarter, but we've been talking about Moses and how he followed God. And he led the children of Israel out of Egypt and all their experiences in the wilderness. And then they came to the promised land. And what happened? Moses died. Yes, you're right. He died up on top of the mountain. So where is Moses right now? Is he still buried up on top of that mountain? Is he in that lonely grave where Jesus and the angels gently put him? Well, we're gonna talk about that today. Just a little bit, but first let's bow our heads in prayer. Lord, thank you so much for this new day that we have to spend with you, that we can take this time and learn more about how much you love us and how much you care for us. We love you too. Amen. Not long after Moses died. Jesus and the angels came to wake him up and you're like, wait, what you mean? Moses? Isn't dead and buried up on top of that mountain. No, he's not. But when Jesus came to wake up, Moses, just like, he's gonna do sort of like what he's going to do when he comes back again, someone else was there too. You know who that was? It was Satan. And he told Jesus that Moses belonged to him. But Jesus didn't argue with Satan. Moses had understood God's wonderful plan to save us. And he knew that because he was trusting Jesus. He wouldn't have to die the forever death. Did you know that there's two kinds of death. There's a death that everybody dies or pretty much everybody because we get old and Jesus hasn't come back yet. And that's the first death, but then there's a forever death that if we don't love and follow Jesus, we will end up dying that forever death. And we won't be able to live with him on this earth. May new Moses knew that because he loved Jesus because he trusted Jesus because he gave his life to Jesus. He would not have to die the forever death. And for those who choose to love and trust and obey Jesus dying is just like asleep. It's like when you go to sleep for a little while, and then you wake up, I love naps. Oftentimes I like to take just a short nap. I only need sometimes 10 minutes. And then I, all of a, a sudden have energy and my brain is alert and I'm wide awake and I'm ready to continue on with my day and get a lot done. Well, I kind of think of death as sort of like a little catnap, at least for those who love Jesus. It's like, you go to sleep just for a little while. You don't remember what happens. You don't have any dreams. And then when you wake up, it's when Jesus is coming, it's almost like you haven't been asleep at all. You just your eyes close. And the next thing you know, Jesus is coming in the clouds and he's raising you to go live with him in heaven. Jesus, didn't argue with Satan over Moses' body. He knew that some days Satan would have to die the forever death himself. Let's look at Jude chapter nine. So we're going to the new Testament all the way in the back. It's right back Jude revelation. So if you can find that last book of the Bible revelation, it's the book right before that. And there's only one chapter in it. That's why we say Jude nine. So we're gonna go to Jude nine or Jude chapter one, verse nine. You can say it either way. Jude nine. Yeah. Michael, the arch angel in contending with the devil. When he disputed about the body of Moses dare not to bring against him a reving accusation, but said the Lord rebuke you. Jude nine. This is talking about when Jesus was there, raise Moses to life. And Satan was there too. And Satan was like, you can't do this. You can't, but Jesus didn't even argue with him. He just said, the Lord re BU you, Jesus raised Moses to life. And he took his dear friend to be with him in heaven. And how do we know this? Well, the Bible tells us, but also when you look at Matthew, let's go to Matthew, Matthew chapter 17, verse three, Matthew chapter 17, verse three. So you have Matthew mark, Luke John Matthew is that first book in the new Testament. Yes. Matthew chapter 17 in verse three. This is when Jesus was transfigured. It's where Jesus was. God gave him a special extra experience. And when he was transfigured his face shown like the son, his clothes became his white as light and the three friends, Peter James and John, his closest friends from his disciples. They saw this and they saw two special people come and talk with Jesus there on the mountain. And you know who it was. Verse three, Matthew 17 verse three says behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him. So who came Moses and Elijah. Now we know that Elijah went up to heaven in a fiery chariot, right? Well, Moses went up to heaven as well. When Jesus went and raised him from the dead. What Jesus did for Moses is just like what he's going to do for each one of us. If we die before he comes back for us, look at felo. First Thessalonians, I should say first Thessalonians Thessalonians, first Thessalonians chapter four, verse 16 and 17. I love these two verses. They are such wonderful promises of hope that we can have. So first Von chapter four versus 16 and 17, it's kind of hard to find. So if you need to press pause that's okay. First Thessalonians is in the five Ts. I call the five Ts in the new Testament. You have Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and then you have the five Ts first and second Theon first and second Timothy Titu. So first Theon is that first book of the five Ts first Theon chapter four, verse 16 and 17. It's right down there at the end. Let's read what that says For the Lord. Himself will descend from heaven, with a show, with the voice, someone arch angeling with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloud to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Isn't this wonderful it's describing what it's gonna be like when Jesus comes back, those who have died, who love Jesus will end up rising first. They will go up into the air and they will start rising up. And then those who are alive, who love Jesus, they will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Wow. What a beautiful promise. What a beautiful picture of what Jesus wants to do, how he wants to bring us to heaven, to be with him. I wanna be there with Jesus. How about you? Let's pray and give our hearts and our lives to him and ask him to help us to follow him with all of our hearts. Lord, you have promised that when we seek you, that we will find you. When we search for you with all of our hearts, we wanna give you our hearts and our lives today. We wanna be ready when you come. If we are alive, when you come, we'll be caught up with those who have died, but still love you. And that they will be raised to life and go up in the air and we'll join them in the air. And Lord, even if we die, even if something bad happens, even if we die of old age, we still have this promise that when you come back, you'll raise us to life. Just like you did with Moses. Thank you Lord, for your promises. Help us to be ready. When you come in Jesus name, amen. Psalm 126, verse three. The Lord has done great things for us and we, and we, the Lord has done for USAL Lord class. The Lord has done. Lord has done great things. Great. So moms one, six, verse three, Hey, moms and dads.
