19. The Testimony of Pastor Anil Kanda

Well, why don't we start with a word of prayer right now.

Father in heaven, we thank you so much again for your grace and mercy.

And Lord, thank you for all the things that you're doing in our church.

We just praise you God because we know that when the gospel goes to all the world, then you're coming back.

And we look forward to that day in Jesus' name, amen.

Well, today I'm going to be sharing my testimony about how I became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian.

Now I know a lot of people have heard my testimony before and some even told me that they can probably quote it verbatim.

But you know what, for those who haven't heard it, that's okay, you're going to hear it for the first time, and I really believe God's going to bless, because ultimately it's His testimony.

You know, I heard somebody once say this.

The church is the audible gospel made visible.

In other words, if people want to see if the gospel works, where do they go?

If they want to see the Holy Spirit working, if they want to really see that God can do what He promised that He would do, where do they go?

Folks, and that's why it's extremely important how we worship, it's extremely important how we communicate the gospel and it's extremely important that the church become utmost the center of God's love.

I'm so excited tonight's gonna be our final message and it's called the final prophecy and it deals with the very last prophecy found in the book of Revelation and it's about heaven.

In fact when you look at the last few chapters of the book of Revelation that deals with the destruction of the wicked and it deals with all of eternity, what you discover is that the destruction of the wicked, the destruction of sin is minimized.

In fact, it's just found in, I believe, Revelation chapter 20.

It's just found in a few verses, and it's extremely minimized, but the next few chapters of Revelation is maximized and it's referring to heaven and all of eternity.

Because God wants us to realize that heaven is going to be a wonderful place for all the saints.

You know, just really quickly, I know somebody asked a question about tonight, and yes, that starts at 615 dinner.

There's no fireworks there, but it's going to be powerful.

We're going to end up seeing some awesome hymns from the hymnal.

And you're just going to love it how we end this prophecy seminar.

Tomorrow's going to be our resurrection celebration.

And I know some people have asked a question about the resurrection celebration.

We believe that the Sabbath is holy, amen?

But what we are doing is simply having a time where God's people can come together, have a delicious lunch, have some worship, and there's gonna be exciting activities for parents and their children including a bounce house can you say amen to that folks here's the thing you can wake up Sunday morning and you can just sit there thinking to yourself what are you going to do or you can come fellowship with the Saints of God amen And so that's all it is that's taking place on Sunday.

It's called the the Resurrection Advent, the Advent Resurrection Celebration.

Well today's message is entitled the testimony of Anel Kanda and you may think okay I've heard this before but I did something different that I think you're going to appreciate.

And some of these pictures aren't the greatest.

In fact, my childhood pictures, many of them are not there.

I just want to say that right now I mean I am NOT photogenic at all I mean when you see me I have this odd expression on my face usually and so you know I know they're gonna it's gonna be quite comical when you see some of these pictures, but that's okay.

We want to realize that God is doing a work with this person.

Revelation is considered the very central part of scripture.

When you look at the Hebrew, a chiastic structure, a chiastic structure is basically where you take the beginning and the end, and you close in until you reach the middle part.

And what the middle part is, is a very central message God is trying to communicate.

So when you look at the first 5 books of Moses, what you find is that the very center part, or epicenter, of the first 5 books of Moses is the Day of Atonement.

And what God is leading his people to understand is how important is the Day of Atonement.

So when you're reading Revelation chapter 12, what you begin to discover that it is in some sense the central part of the book of Revelation.

God starts with the history of heaven and he ends where we are at today where the Bible says the dragon was enraged with the woman and meant to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.

But take your Bible, we're going to Revelation chapter 12.

I'm going to show you something very interesting.

Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world.

He was cast to the earth, and his Angels were cast out with him.

By the way, does anybody know what the word Michael means?

The word Michael means he who is like God Now why is this very interesting because when you read Revelation chapter 13 what you discover is that the whole world is wandering after the Antichrist beast and you know what they're saying Who is like the Antichrist?

And so what you are seeing here is the original and the wannabe and So Jesus leads this all the angels and there's a great war that takes place in heaven.

All of a sudden, the war transitions to earth.

But watch what the Bible says next, because this is the verse we're honing in on.

Verse 10, Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ have come for the accuser of our, what?

Brethren who accused them before our God, day and night, has been cast down.

What you notice is that there is a special message that's given in heaven and it's referencing to the cross of Calvary when all of heaven lost its doubt for Lucifer.

You read the entire Old Testament, You still see that Lucifer in some sense had access to heaven But it wasn't until the cross that all doubt went away And that's why the Bible says there was no there was not found for him a place any longer In other words Lucifer felt like he can go anywhere Where people would listen where the universe would listen but the Bible says that at that point nobody in the universe Listen to the Lucifer because they knew what the character of God really was Can you say amen to that?

But the Bible says he's called the accuser of our what Brethren In other words, he's an individual who is accusing the people of God to God.

He's bringing accusations and we need to be careful of this exact same spirit lest we breathe the same fire of that dragon.

Verse 11, this is powerful, and this is the verse we're honing in on.

18. Prophecy’s Waterfall

Father in heaven, we thank you so much again for your Holy Spirit.

We thank you for your goodness and for your kindness.

And God, as the Sabbath is coming upon us, we just want to pray and ask you to prepare our hearts and our minds, Lord, to receive the Word of God.

And we pray in a very special way that we'd walk away from tonight's message, eternally changed.

Tonight's message is entitled, Prophecy's Waterfall.

Tomorrow morning's message is going to be my own testimony how I became a Christian.

I was born and raised in a Hindu family, and about 11 years ago, the Lord reached into my life, and he saved me.

But what I discovered, well it wasn't just then that he began his work but it started a long time ago.

Jesus talked about the Holy Spirit And he says you don't know where he comes from and where he goes and so is everyone who is born of the kingdom So folks you don't want to miss it tomorrow morning at 1040 a.m.

I'm going to share my testimony and it's going to be a wonderful time and enjoyable time And there's going to be a delicious potluck afterwards So make sure you show up for that.

And then Saturday night is going to be our final message and it's entitled, The Final Prophecy.

And that's going to be a spectacular conclusion to this prophecy seminar.

So folks make sure you don't miss any part of that.

That's Sabbath morning at 1040 a.m And we're going to have a special Bible discussion class at 930 a.m So if you wake up early on Saturday morning, and you're thinking to yourself, I would really like to come to church early.

That's great because at 930, Pastor Scott Wendt is going to be leading us out in a discussion of the Bible.

So you're going to really, really appreciate that.

And so, by the way, does anybody know who Scott Wendt is?

Okay, that's Pastor Scott Wendt right there, and he's also a math teacher as well.

That's at 930 and Scott's going to lead the discussion of the Word of God.

And then at 1040 AM is when we begin the morning service.

I'm going to share some things that the Lord has personally shown me and done in my life.

I really believe it's gonna be a powerful morning.

What we discovered the last few nights was that we are living in a world of deception.

Jesus talked about the devil in Revelation chapter 12, and he says the devil deceives the whole world.

Now here's the interesting thing about deception, and this is something that should not be forgotten, okay?

If you know you're being deceived, you're not being deceived.

I mean, if you know you're being deceived, you're not being deceived.

That's what makes deception so dangerous, because you don't know that you're being deceived.

The Bible makes it very clear that the devil deceives the whole world.

Number 2, deception always has to do in regard to God's timing.

Deception always has to do in regards to God's timing.

Whenever God is planning something really big, the devil always tries to muddy the waters by sending counterfeits, okay?

You know, like for example, when Jesus came the first time, There was a bunch of false messiahs around there.

And so when Jesus showed up, a lot of people had a lot of unbelief because they saw so many wannabe messiahs.

And so at the end of time, there's going to be a lot of counterfeits of the real deal.

And that's why we have to follow the Word of God.

You know it's very interesting America's Funniest Videos, they did this prank several years ago and what they wanted to do was fool people about who were traveling to Canada And so what they did was about 500 miles away from the Canadian border, still in the United States, they actually set up the entrance post.

They even had a Mountie there and a sign that said, welcome to Canada.

And so what took place was, a lot of people, as they were driving, and they were seeing their maps, and they were using their GPS as they were coming in, all of a sudden they saw this welcome to Canada sign, and there was a Mountie right there.

And they begin to scratch their head and think to themselves, wait a second, something's wrong here.

And so they looked at the map, and they looked at the Canadian, they looked at the map, and they saw the sign, and they were so fooled by it that many people actually thought 500 miles away from the Canadian border that they were in Canada.

But here's the thing, the devil deceives the world about the coming of Jesus.

The devil deceives the world about the coming of Jesus.

So in these end times we need to make sure we're following the Word of God Amen, and how you are ready for the end of time is when you're ready today and so that's why it's extremely important to follow the Word of God and be obedient to the things that the Lord shows you.

Jesus warned about the blind leading the blind.

We learned that God actually has a movement on earth.

We learned about this movement that it would be a worldwide movement.

They wouldn't just be preaching the gospel in Arizona.

They'd be preaching it to the entire world Can you say amen to that?

They will be built upon the pure word of God They will keep all 10 commandments they will possess a genuine biblical legitimate gift of prophecy remember what I said anytime God does something big he always sends a what a prophet we learned about the Exodus God sent Moses the flood God sent Noah the Babylonian captivity God sent Jeremiah the first coming of Jesus he sent John the Baptist and so it would be very logical to see that right before Jesus comes back the second time, he's going to be sending a real prophet in the midst of all the false prophets.

We also discovered that this end time movement will have Jesus as the head and the center.

And that's extremely important because if Jesus is not being lifted up, guess what?

If Jesus is not the center, it's not Jesus's bride.

And so we've got to make sure this end time movement will be lifting up the cross of Calvary.

We also discover that it would come after 1798.

Read Revelation chapter 12 and you discover that when the papal power loses its power, that's when this remnant church shows up and they will have a complete message that will impact not only the spiritual but the physical.

Jesus' ministry consisted of not only preaching, but healing.

And when you look at every 1 of these characteristics, you see very clearly that it only fits 1 end time movement, Especially in these end times, it only fits 1 end time movement and it's none other than the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He said, I have sheep in other flock, them I must call and they will hear my what?

We discovered at the end of time in Revelation 18, there would be this clarion call, come out of Babylon.

And what God would be doing, he would be calling people out of confusion and into the truth.

We learned about every 1 of these Reformers who lost their lives, who took the truth 1 step further during the Dark Ages, and at the end of time all these truths are placed together and God is saying take this complete gospel to the entire world.

Do you remember what Jesus said in Matthew 24?

He says when the gospel has been preached to the entire world then the end will come.

So what Jesus does in Matthew 24, He actually leaves the coming of His Son, God leaves the coming of His Son in the hands of the church.

The Bible says in the Gospel, in the Epistle of Peter that we can hasten the coming of Jesus by preaching about the coming of Jesus by spreading the message.

So this end time movement has to be a message or a mission, A very mission driven that is taking the message to the entire world Can you say amen to that in Adventist is somebody who not only knows about the second coming?

But someone who loves the second coming amen Paul said in second Timothy that the that the Lord of the universe has a crown for him and not only for him but all those who love his appearing.

You're essentially Seventh-day Adventist.

17. Prophecy’s Warship

Father in heaven, we thank you so much again for tonight.

Thank you for the promise, Lord, when 2 or 3 are gathered in your name.

And Lord, we know that you're here with us.

Jesus, we pray and ask that you would speak tonight.

That it would be the word of the Lord that would be spoken.

And Father in heaven, we do pray for open hearts, receptive minds.

Tonight's message is entitled, Prophecies Worship.

You're going to find out from Scriptures there is a prophetic worship.

And it's going to be very interesting as you see this take place.

Friday night's message is entitled prophecies waterfall Prophecies waterfall so make sure you don't miss Friday night.

It's gonna be intense as well We're coming right down to the end folks But I believe that in the last few days of this Bible Prophecy Seminar, God wants to really express and share some things that we need to understand for these times.

So let's take our Bible, let's go to 1 Kings chapter 18.

There's a very interesting individual in the Bible and his name is Elijah.

And this individual is very, a very remarkable prophet.

He has a Mysterious origin and not very much is said about where this man came from but he shows up on the scene and This individual begins to rebuke the king of Ahab he begins to rebuke the king of Ahab because all of Israel had fallen into apostasy.

And Elijah's message was none other than this, none other than this.

And he answered and said, this was King Ahab speaking, I have not troubled Israel, or excuse me, Elijah, I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and have followed the Baals." Now pay attention to this.

He was called to help restore the commandments of God that were lost during Israel's apostasy.

And what's awesome about that is as Elijah began to give this message, all of Israel was revived by his message.

But why is that important for us in these times because there is a very interesting prophecy given in scripture about Elijah.

Watch this found in Malachi chapter 4 verse 5.

In fact, these are just in the last few verses of this last book of the Old Testament.

Watch what Malachi chapter 4 verse 5 says, Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord Now watch what the Bible says right here.

It's very interesting The scriptures tell us that God is going to send this mysterious prophet again, and he would be called to do a mighty work, look at this, right before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

But we know from Scriptures that Elijah is in heaven with Moses, Right?

But who is this mysterious Elijah that God promised that he would send to Israel right before the coming of the Lord?

There's another individual, his name was called John the Baptist.

This individual shows up after a few hundred years of scriptural silence between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

And watch what the Bible says about this mysterious man.

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

For this is he who was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, saying, The voice of 1 crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, Make his path straight.

And John himself was clothed in camel's hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locust and wild honey.

This individual shows up on the scene, this strange man.

He lives by the simple principle of modesty.

He's proclaiming a mighty message to all of Israel.

He shows up on the scene at a very interesting time in Israel's history.

But watch what Jesus is about John the Baptist.

Jesus answered and said to them, Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.

But I say to you that Elijah has come already.

And they did not know him, but did to him whatever they wished.

Likewise, the Son of Man is about to suffer in their hands.

Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of who?

Elijah, the Elijah prophecy, was fulfilled by none other than John the Baptist.

And what was the message of John the Baptist?

And he did not only preach a message By his words, but by his lifestyle, he was communicating another message as well.

But there's something interesting that is also said.

Jesus answered and said to them, indeed Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.

He is saying that the work of Elijah would be to restore all things.

This was fulfilled by John the Baptist also.

And why would we even think there would be another Elijah after John the Baptist?

Because of what the prophecy in Malachi chapter 4 verse 5 says, Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

When Jesus Christ showed up on the scene, was it a great and dreadful day?

He shows up in a very quiet manner in a way that didn't draw a lot of attention to him.

But we know that prophecy had dual applications.

In other words, there would be another fulfillment.

Sure enough, John the Baptist was the second Elijah who would show up right before the first coming of Jesus.

But what we learn from the prophecy of Malachi is that this same power that would restore the commandments of God would show up right before the second coming of Jesus.

And this is what we're all about, trying to understand what the scriptures are saying.

Well, we learned yesterday some very interesting things.

We learned there's a clarion call given in Revelation 18 to come out of Babylon.

The word Babylon is, the root word is Babel which means confusion.

So the term is to, the phrase is come out of what?

We learn Revelation chapter 18 verse 4, this mighty voice, look what the scripture says, I heard another voice from heaven saying, come out of her my people, lest you share in her sins and lest you receive her plagues.

So where is the majority of God's people?

And what God is doing, He is giving this mighty call and He is saying it's time for you to come out of error, it's time for you to come out of deception, It's time for you to come out of deception.

It's time for you to come out of distortion and come to the truth.

And this is very important because Jesus told us that in the end times there would be worldwide deception.

But even more than that, the Bible says in Jeremiah that our hearts are desperately deceitful.

The Bible teaches that our hearts are very deceitful.
